Abstract

Language development is one of the important aspects of early childhood, language development, in essence, is a child can accept (receptive) and express (expressive). This study aims to describe the expressive language of children in Siwi Unggul Kindergarten with the media of the images he made and to analyze and describe the results of children's drawings in terms of their nature and type. This type of research is qualitative research. This research was conducted in Siwi Unggul Kindergarten, Plantungan District, Kendal Regency. The subjects of the research were Siwi Unggul Kindergarten students. The informants consisted of children, teachers, and school principals. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documents. The data validity technique uses triangulation. While the data analysis is done using Marshall and Rossman's interactive model, which consists of organizing data, grouping by categories, themes, and answer patterns, testing assumptions or problems that exist with the data, finding alternative explanations for the data, writing research results. The results showed that the media images created by children based on their ideas and thoughts can provoke vocabulary and expression of children's symbols (pictures and writing) in kindergarten children. Parents and teachers are expected to accompany drawing activities to stimulate children's knowledge and expressive language.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the confidence of children aged 5-6 years through fashion show activity in children of group B Al Azzam Kindergarten Jatisari Mijen, Semarang. Academic Year 2018/2019. This research is expected to be useful, especially in contributing to the development of early childhood education. This type of research is Experimental Research. The research subjects are children aged 5-6 years in group B in Al Azzam kindergarten as many as 31 children. The object of this research is children's confidence which includes being confident in themselves, not dependent on others, feeling valuable, and having the courage to act. The data collection method is done through observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used the Paired Sample t-Test technique. The results showed that fashion show activity can increase children's confidence. This can be proven from the results of observations before the action obtained a percentage of confidence of 35.29% and in the subsequent implementation increased to 82.35%. The process of implementing learning using fashion modeling activities begins with the teacher explaining the activities to be carried out by the child. Then the teacher gives an example of a fashion show. After giving an example, the teacher invites children who will be modeling clothes to show their hands first. Each child shows in the front, and when difficulties in conveying their meaning the teacher stimulate by asking questions. After the fashion show, each child is given a different question by the teacher. As a form of reinforcement, children are given rewards in the form of praise, cheers, thumbs, applause, and stickers.

Abstract

Jemparingan is a traditional Mataram style archery sport activity typical Yogyakarta Palace. This study intends to analyze the implementation of Jemparingan sport and its benefits in early childhood. The place of the research is Pembina Wates State Kindergarten, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. The method of this research is a qualitative case study approach. The subjects are children in grades A and B. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation. For data analysis was used Miles and Huberman theory, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study were the Jemparingan game as a play and learning activity in Pembina Wates State Kindergarten, which effectively trained children's focus, fine motor skills; train focus of the eye; increase concentration; confident; and build the character of the child in the kindergarten from an early age. The conclusion of this research is Jemparingan sport can be a fun game, effectively increasing child’s skill, and introducing Yogyakarta's local culture to children from an early age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi menu olahan ikan apasaja untuk meningkatkan nafsu makan anak usia 4-5 tahun dengan variasi menu oalhan ikan melalui “Gemari” dan untuk menegtahui peningkatan nafsu makan anak dengan variaisi menu olahan ikan melalui “Gemari” di Wilayah Pesisir Kecamatan Juwana Kabupaten Pati.Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen serta jenis penelitian yang digunakan berupa Pre- Experimen Design (non design) dengan One-group, pretest–posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini, anak usia dini dengan rentang usia 4-5 tahun di Wilayah Pesisir Kecamatan Juwana Kabupaten Pati. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu berjumlah 30 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif dan teknik uji-t. Hasil penelitian analisis deskriptif menunjukkan variasi menu olahan ikan yang disukai anak yaitu bakso bakar ikan, bola-bola ikan, dan kaki naga serta terdapat peningkatan nafsu makan anak dengan variasi menu olahan ikan melalui “Gemari” menunjukkan perhitungan menggunakan Uji Sampel Paired T-Test terhadap kelompok eksperimen pada pretest dan posttest diperoleh nilai Asymp Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00 < 0,05 maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa ada peningkatan nafsu makan anak usia 4-5 tahun dengan variasi menu olahan ikan melalui “Gemari”. Hal ini ditunjukkan peningkatan skor pretest dan posttest dimulai dari poin 1 hingga 42 poin dengan hasil rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 49,53 dan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 72,00. Sehingga terdapat peningkatan sebesar 22,47 dengan persentase 45,36%.

Abstract

Family and community participation in Early Childhood Education (ECE) after the policy program of one village one ECE shows that overall they can implement the program thoroughly, there is a need for close and more organized links between the village governments, ECE institutions and communities so that solutions and policies for internal problems in the ECE can be found together. Strengthening services with one village one ECE is a necessity in the hope that children in rural areas will be educated early on. Applying one village at least one ECE requires a lot of participation from various parties including the government at the village level.
