Abstract

Marketing of fishery products must be carried out efficiently so that fishermen and consumers are not harmed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the marketing system, margin value, fisherman's share for skipjack, tuna and tuna in TPI Kuala Idi. Determination of respondents using purposive sampling method. The results of the study were obtained for Cakalang fish, the total marketing margin on marketing channel II was greater, namely Rp. 5,800 and channel I obtained the highest Df, namely 89%. For Tuna, the total marketing margin in marketing channel II is greater, namely Rp. 6,400 and channel I obtains the highest Df, namely 86%. For tuna, the total marketing margin on marketing channel II was greater, namely IDR 5,800 and channel I obtained the highest Df, namely 87%. From the results of Fisherman's Share calculations, the three marketing channels above the percentage share received by fishermen from TPI is 89% and is the largest percentage of other marketing calculations. It can be concluded that the marketing agency TPI Kuala Idi, East Aceh District plays an important role in the share of the results received by fishermen.

Abstract

Koi fish is a type of ornamental fish whose color and unique body shape are one of the attractions of koi fish. This study aims to determine and evaluate the effect of fasting time on the growth and survival of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) which are fasted periodically at optimum temperature. The method used in this study was the RAL experimental method (completely randomized design) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The fasting treatment used was the non-fasting treatment as (control), 1 day of fasting and 1 day of feeding, 1 day of fasting and 2 days of feeding, and 1 day of fasting and 3 days of feeding. Each treatment used seeds measuring 4-5 cm. Parameters observed were absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, daily growth rate, survival rate and feed conversion ratio. The results of the study based on the analysis of variance showed that fasting in koi fish had a significant effect (P<0.05) on absolute weight growth and daily growth rate and had no significant effect on growth in absolute length, survival raet and feed conversion ratio. The best treatment of periodic fasting is in treatment P2 = 1 day of fasting 1 day of being feed.

Abstract

Selection of fish based on DNA markers is a method or technique that has started to develop rapidly in the field of genetics and fish breeding. Selection based on DNA markers utilizes the genetic information contained in fish DNA to obtain individuals with characteristics appropriate to the stages and production of aquaculture in a timely, efficient, and measurable manner. This literature review presents several discussions and literature sources that are quite relevant regarding various aspects of DNA marker-based fish selection, including the basic principles, analytical methods, benefits, and challenges based on DNA markers, and discusses how the most recent developments in the use of methods in the process of genetic breeding and fish selection, as well as the potential for future applications.

Abstract

Lobster is one of the leading commodities in Indonesia, with export destinations to Japan, Hong Kong, the USA, and several other countries. In export activities, high mortality is caused by stress during transportation, causing farmers to suffer losses. This research can be an alternative solution to reduce the mortality rate in the transportation of crayfish, which is carried out using a variety of different substrates as transport media. This study aims to determine the effect of using different substrates as filler media for the transport container on the survival of crayfish, which were transported for 6 hours using different substrates, namely paper, raffia rope, coconut fiber, and cotton. The research method used was a completely randomized design. (RAL). The results of this study showed that the transportation of crayfish with different substrates showed survival results on 93% paper substrate, 90% raffia rope, 96% coconut fiber, and 100% cotton. After 10 days of maintenance, the survival of crayfish decreased because the crayfish experienced stress during the transportation test. This was due to a lack of oxygen and moisture in the substrate used during transportation. The highest post-maintenance survival occurred at P4 of 76% and P3 of 75%, while at P1 it was 57% and at P2 it was 67%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and determine the effect of providing probiotics on the dynamics of water quality in several intensive system vannamei shrimp ponds. The research method uses a survey method, namely taking samples directly in the field. The results of the research obtained optimal water quality parameters for the survival of vannamei shrimp in ponds A and B, namely salinity, temperature, depth, brightness, DO, pH, alkalinity, nitrite, nitrate and total hardness, while in pond C the optimal parameters were salinity, temperature, depth, brightness, DO, pH, alkalinity and total hardness. The best water quality for the growth of vannamei shrimp is found in pond A, because with a stocking density of 168 thousand fish and giving probiotics twice a week, it can produce good water quality compared to ponds B and C with probiotics given three times a week, so it can benefit farmers because of reduced use probiotics. The results of observations of phytoplankton in ponds A, B and C obtained the species Chatoceros, Dinobryon, Lauderia, Lingulodinium, Nodularia, Oscillatoria, Planktothrix, Proboscia. Meanwhile, zooplankton in ponds A, B, C were obtained by Acartia, Amphipleura pellucida, Boeckella triarticulata, Nematodes genus.
