Abstract

This journal aims to critically analyze the concept of Pancasila as an ethical foundation in the Indonesian social, political and cultural context. Through a literature review, it explores the history and development of Pancasila, and examines its relevance and implementation in modern society. It also outlines Pancasila's contribution to the development of ethics and social norms, as well as the challenges that may be faced in applying these principles. The results of this analysis provide deep insight into the role of Pancasila as an ethical guide in building a just and equitable society in Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: Indonesia boasts a rich biodiversity and a wealth of medicinal plants, including around 300 species used in traditional medicine. One such popular plant in traditional medicine is beluntas (Pluchea indica L.), known for its various benefits, such as appetite stimulation and its ability to lower blood glucose levels, thanks to compounds like alkaloids and flavonoids. Diabetes mellitus is a serious issue in Indonesia, with a continually rising prevalence, including complications like elevated blood triglyceride levels. Therefore, research on the potential of traditional treatment using beluntas to reduce triglyceride and glucose levels is highly relevant and important. Methods: This research employed a narrative review method. All the literature sources utilized were derived from national and international research articles accessed through search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct, as well as the NCBI database. The selected literature primarily comprised journals discussing the biological activities and therapeutic potential of Pluchea indica L., commonly known as beluntas. Furthermore, a descriptive analysis was employed for this study. Result: In vivo testing of the ethanol extract of Beluntas leaves (Pluchea indical L.) was proven to reduce triglyceride and glucose levels. Conclusion: The traditional plant beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) has the potential to reduce triglyceride levels and glucose levels.

Abstract

Indonesia as one of the countries with a manufacturing industry sector that is experiencing rapid development. In Indonesia, there has been a very significant increase in work accidents, up by 55.2% from 2019 to 2020. The manufacturing industry has a very high contribution in work accidents in a company that does not implement procedures in accordance with standards. K3 aims to prevent, reduce, and even eliminate the risk of work accidents (zero accidents). This study uses the literature review method as a systematic method sourced from the 2020–2024 journal published on Google Scholar. The results of a review of articles conducted with several journals show that emergency preparedness in the occupational safety and health management system in the manufacturing industry shows that OSH Management is a very important aspect in the manufacturing industry. Several components in the emergency response system are divided into emergency response management, emergency facilities and infrastructure, and management in the manufacturing industry. An important aspect in the manufacturing industry. Emergency preparedness in OSH management involves risk understanding, emergency planning, employee training, and monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

This research is motivated to understand how gender roles are portrayed in textbooks, especially in the context of English language teaching in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to determine the gender representation in the English textbook titled "English In Mind Student's Book 3" for grade X in high school, published by Cambridge University. This research employs a quantitative method. As the data source for this research, the researcher focuses on 5 text stories within the short story texts. The findings reveal that there are differences in the use of words and pronouns to depict males and females. The gender representation in the textbook does not align with the principles of equity upheld by the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. The Merdeka Curriculum promotes equal rights and responsibilities between males and females. However, this teaching book has not achieved a balanced gender role portrayal,contradicting those values. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of fostering character and skills in students with a gender equality perspective, as reflected in the fifth tenet of Pancasila that guarantees equal rights for all.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) To determine the influence of locus of control on ethical behavior of Faculty of Economics student at State University of Jakarta. 2) To determine the influence of emotional intelligence on ethical behavior of Faculty of Economics student at State University of Jakarta. 3) To determine the influence of locus of control and emotional intelligence on ethical behavior of Faculty of Economics student at State University of Jakarta. This study uses quantitative research methods with data analysis techniques in the form of multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software version 25. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling with a total sample of 218 students. This research is a survey-research in the form of a questionnaire to see the effect of locus of control and emotional intelligence on students' ethical behavior. Based on the analysis, it was found that locus of control has a positive and significant effect on ethical behavior, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on ethical behavior, also locus of control and emotional intelligence together have a positive and significant effect on ethical behavior.
