Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the amount of fermented waterhyacinth meal in diets on growth and feed efficiency of Leptobarbus heovenijuveniles. Five isonitrogenous (30% crude protein) experimental diets wasformulated to contain 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40% fermented water hyacinth meal and100, 90, 80,70,and 60% soybean meal (P0, P1, P2, P3, and P4, respectively).Completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this experiment. The result showed that a diet containing 40% fermented water hyacinth mealand 60% soybean meal (P4) support a good specific growth rate (2.18%/day), feedefficiency (29.83%) and protein retention (11.99%). It this concluded that up to 60%soybean meal can be substituted with fermented water hyacinth meal in the diets forLeptobarbus hoeveni juveniles.Key word : diets, growth, fermented water hyacinth, Leptobarbus hoeveni, utilization

Abstract

The research was conducted for 56 days since 18th November 2015 to 16th January 2017. This study aims to determine the effect of substitution of fish meal with earthworm flour to the growth of the seed catfish. This experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely the replacement of fishmeal with flour earthworms respectively 0% (P1), 10% (P1), 20% (P2), 30% (P3), and 40% (P4) with the feed protein content of 30%. The fish samples used in this study are seed-sized catfish average weight of 2.0 grams with stocking density 20 birds per container experiment. Based on the results of this study concluded that earthworm flour can be used to substitute for fishmeal in feed seed catfish. The level of earthworm flour substitution is best with a substitution rate of 30% earthworm flour + 70% fishmeal.Key Word : Pangasius hypopthalmus, Earthworms, Substitution, Growth

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the using effect of noni leaf silage on food efficiency and growth tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) using the experimental method, completelly randomized design with one factor, five treatments and three replication which had different level comparison of soy bean meal and noni leaf silaged meal, spesifically P1 (100% TK:0%DM), P2 (90% TK:10%DM), P3 (80% TK:20%DM), P4 (70% TK:30%DM), dan P5 (60% TK:40%DM). The result indicated that feed with addition noni leaf silage meal on 10, 20, 30, and 40% were significant effect (P<0.05) on digestibility of feed, feed efficiency, protein retention and specific growth rate of tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum). The best treatment is obtained on P2 addition noni leaf silage as much as 20 % with average specific growth rate of 3.35 % /day and feed efficiency of 36.23 %. Key word : Noni leaf, silage, Tambaqui

Abstract

The research was conducted for 56 days from September – November 2016. The aim of this research to determine the number of leaves water lettuce meal fermented in fish feed formulation River Corp (Leptobarbus hoevenii) the effect on growth, feed efficiency and protein retention. This study uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with one factor, 5 level treatments and 3 replications. The fish used in this research with size 7-9 g in weight. Treatments with water lettuce leaves meal fermentation P0 (0%), P1 (10%), P2 (20%), P3 (30%), P4 (40%) with feed protein content of 24,75%. The results showed that fermentation of water lettuce leaves have significant effect (P<0,05) on growth, feed efficiency and protein retention. Replacement 40% of water lettuce fermentation produced highest digestibility 66,83%, feed efficiency 8,70%, protein retention 12,63% and spesific growth rate 0,67%.Keywords: Leptobarbus hoevenii, Water Lettuce Leaves, Fermentation, Rumen Fluid

Abstract

This research was conducted on April 4 to June 1 2015 at Fish Nutrition Laboratory and Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty, Riau University. This research aimed to determine the effect of probiotic supplementation in artificial diets on feed digestibility, feed efficiency, protein retention and growth of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Completely Randomized Design (CRD), was used with five treatments and three replications. The treatments were probiotic supplementation in diets with different concentration i.e : P0 (without probiotic supplementation in diets), P1 (probiotic sapplementation of 5 mL/kg diets), P2 (probiotic sapplementation of 10 mL/kg diets), P3 (probiotic sapplementation of 15 mL/kg diets) dan P4 (probiotic sapplementation of 20 mL/kg diets). Probiotic given through artificial diets with 30% of crude protein content. The results showed P4 (probiotic sapplementation of 20 mL/kg diets) were the best treatment with feed digestibility of 50,74%, feed efficiency of 29,27%, protein retention of 45,63%, and specific growth rate of 3,64% for Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).Key word : Diets, Digestibility, Growth, Oreochromis niloticus, Probiotic

Abstract

This research was conducted in the experimental pond from Juny to August 2016 in the Nutrition Fish Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study to determine the concentration of leaves turi fermented flour in fish feed formulation Baung (Hemibagrus nemurus), and also to know the response for feed using to digestibility, feed efficiency and on growth Baung (Hemibagrus nemurus). The method of this research is Experiment method uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with one factor, the level 5 treatments and 3 replications with the result that needing 15 experiment units. The feed used artificial feed with the content of leaves turi fermented and different percentage are P0 (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%), P3 (15%), P4 (20%).The results showed that the highest treatment contained in P2 (leaves turi fermented) represented digestibility 75,25%, the feed efficiency of 48,76%, retention of protein 16,70%, specific growth rate of 3,22 % and survival rate of 98,33%. This means that leaves turi fermented flour as one of alternative substance of feed for replacement soybean flour. Keywords : Hemibagrus nemurus, Leaves turi, Fermentation
