Abstract

One of the bottled water industries in West Sumatra experienced an imbalance between supply and consumer demand, so this became a factor of difficulty in determining the period and quantity of orders for 220ml packaging materials, which resulted in the industry often experiencing shortages. and excess raw materials. So the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method will be used to determine the amount of inventory that needs to be ordered at the minimum cost or the optimal level of purchasing 220 ml cup packaging material. According to the company police, the inventory of 220ml cups per order is 2,117,346 pcs and the frequency of purchasing 220ml cups in a year is 24 times, while using the EOQ method, the inventory of 220ml cups per order is 3,969,012 pcs and the frequency of purchasing 220ml. cup in a year is 13 times. An additional suggestion after carrying out the investigation and finding out the inventory problem is for the industry to apply the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method in controlling the inventory of 220 ml cups because it can save costs related to inventory. The industry also needs to take into account the amount of safety stock and the original order point to avoid the risk of running out or excess raw materials. This is so that the company will continue to produce if the raw materials ordered take a long time to reach the factory.

Abstract

In 2021, the quality of kernels in one of the palm oil processing industries in Riau was found to exceed the set standard limit. This is of course a problem that can affect the quality of the product. So kernel quality control will be carried out using the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). From the results of the X water content control chart above, it can be concluded that the data is said to be abnormal because some of it exceeds the UCL. While in the control map R there is data that exceeds the control limit or is uncontrolled. This is because the difference in sample values has such a large distance. From the results of the X temperature control chart above, it can be concluded that the data is said to be abnormal because the data exceeds the LCL or UCL. While in the R control map there is data that exceeds the control limit or is uncontrolled. This is because the difference in sample values has such a large distance. The cause of the high level of impurities in the core. The use of Pareto diagrams to determine the cause of non-compliance with quality standards in kernels is due to the highest/dominant impurity content. The causes of non-compliance with kernel quality standards are due to machine and human factors such as damage to claybath and hydrocyclone machines and lack of SOPs being followed.

Abstract

One of the industries that processes FFB (Fresh Bunches) into crude oil or also called Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and palm kernel or also called kernel in West Sumatra. In carrying out the production process, we always prioritize quality and always optimize the results of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and kernel processing results. One of the ways to get optimal results is to reduce oil loss during the production process. From the data obtained, the analysis of press machine oil loss will be carried out using statistical process control (SPC) methods. After analyzing the oil loss at the press station, it was found that the oil loss analysis was not statistically controlled. Next, from this analysis, the cause of the problem that causes the loss of oil at the press station is sought. The cause of the problem is the work environment, people, work methods, raw materials and machines. Next, after the root of the problem is found, the author gives suggestions for improvement to each root of the problem found.

Abstract

One of the industries involved in palm oil processing. PKS in Jambi process fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and do not always produce crude palm oil (CPO) according to the standards set by the company. The CPO produced by the company is damaged due to various factors. So SPC will be used as a tool in analyzing CPO quality control in one of the PKS industries in Jambi. The causes of high free fatty acids are many factors, including poor fruit acceptance due to defects, less strict fruit sorting. Weather factors that cause fruit to take a long time in the garden or unloading field. Slippery roads cause fruit to get stuck on the road for days. The proposal to improve the quality of CPO is to implement quality control starting from the arrival of raw materials, until the final process of TBS processing which is the distribution process of CPO in storage tanks. The main improvement that the company needs to do is to focus on the factors that cause the problem of quality decline, namely the raw material factor, the machine factor and the human factor that processes CPO.

Abstract

This research examines the integration of robotic C-arm technology in angiography, a critical tool for treating cardiac conditions. The robotic C-arm, which includes an X-ray tube, is essential for scanning patients during procedures. The study also investigates the associated risks, specifically in Indonesian hospitals with cardiac facilities. Angiography is used to diagnose and treat heart disease by visualizing blood vessels and facilitating catheterization procedures. However, its mobility poses hazards and can impact the process. To address potential risks, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is utilized. Traditionally, risk assessment using risk priority numbers (RPN) is conducted, but these may not accurately reflect failures due to complex evaluating processes. To overcome this limitation, fuzzy logic is employed, enhancing risk assessment accuracy. Through this approach, twenty-seven failure modes are identified across two brands, with ten major ones prioritized using fuzzy logic. These findings facilitate the development of preventive measures to mitigate future failures and enhance patient safety during angiography in hospitals. In conclusion, the study underscores the importance of robust risk management in medical equipment, particularly in dynamic environments. By integrating fuzzy logic into risk assessment, the study improves prioritization accuracy, enabling effective allocation of resources for preventive actions.

Abstract

The development of dairy farming in Nagari Lasi District Canduang, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province, has provided the materials a massive source of biogas production. The number of cattle in Nagari Lasi has reached around 1000 heads, plus other livestock such as Buffaloes and Goats. The manufacture of digesters in the previous year's Community service activities was a success. It produces biogas and is used for cheese production and household supply. However, the amount of biogas produced is still tiny. To realize "Community-Independent Energy," power generator installation is necessary. The biogas supply must be in large quantities and available continuously for the generator to operate. Biogas currently produced by the digester is insufficient to produce the biogas required by the generator. Therefore, biogas production capacity needs to be improved by expanding the volume of the digester that will be processing cow dung into biogas. Increasing digester capacity has significantly increased biogas production, reaching 12 m3 per day. This amount is enough to be used as fuel for an electric generator continuously.
