Abstract

The hydraulic system is a power transmission system by using the compressive energy of the fluid into mechanical energy to obtain a power greater than the initial power released. The press machine is one of the pieces of equipment that apply the hydraulic system. In the process of making laminated bamboo, the bamboo gluing technique is assisted using a press machine. Based on observations, the press machine used is a manual press machine, so the pressing process is not efficient. This study aims to increase the effectiveness of pressing laminated bamboo. The results of the study found that the press machine has 4 hydraulic cylinders so the pressing process can be carried out at several points simultaneously. The results of the hydraulic system analysis diagram show hydraulic cylinder moves in 16,9 seconds with a pressure of 100 bar, so the pressing process is fast. Mathematical calculations produce data, a hydraulic gear pump with a displacement of 13 cc/rev, electric motor power of 3,7 kW, hydraulic cylinder diameter of 63 mm, cylinder rod of 35 mm, rod of 400 mm, and a hydraulic tank capacity of 12 liters.

Abstract

Panti Asuhan dan Pondok Lansia "Al Maa'uun" merupakan lembaga sosial yang berperan untuk memberikan pelayanan kesejahteraan sosial bagi masyarakat. Panti Asuhan Yatim dan Pondok Lansia Al Maa’uun telah berdiri sejak tahun 2019 bertempat di dusun Bakalan, Sapuran, Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah. Kegiatan yang telah dilakukan adalah bercocok tanam berbagai sayuran dan pengolahan carica. Kegiatan bercocok taman yang dilakukan tidak selalu menghasilkan panen yang baik. Permasalah diantaranya adalah hama penyakit pada tanaman yang penanggulangannya sangat sulit diatasi. Program pengabdian pada masyarakat ini difokuskan pada usaha untuk meminimalkan serangan hama dan meningkatkan produksi tanaman adalah dengan penggunaan green house untuk tanaman buah melon, khususnya pada pembuatan sistem perpipaan menggunakan sistem PJC. Pemasangan selang drip dilakukan sebelum penanaman dengan tujuan untuk mengalirkan nutrisi dari fertikid nutrisi melalui pipa utama untuk sampai ke tanaman. Selang drip dihubungkan dengan selang penetes (drib tube) yang dipasang di sepanjang selang cabang.

Abstract

The cutter planer is one of the main components of a bamboo planer which functions to flatten the surface of the bamboo blades. The cutter planer has a problem, namely the maximum stress is not known due to the complexity of the components which is difficult to analyze using the mechanical equation calculation method, so that to overcome this problem a numerical method is used, namely the finite element method. In this study, an analysis was carried out on a cutter planer by comparing the process of cutting bamboo slats with two directions of rotation clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW). The material used in the cutter planer is HSS and bamboo material with petung bamboo. The results of this study show that the highest maximum stress distribution for the cutter occurs in CCW and the lowest maximum stress distribution for the cutter occurs in CW.

Abstract

The global shift towards electrification has extended its reach to non-road mobile machinery, with a primary focus on agricultural applications. This growing trend reflects the larger shift towards sustainability and the minimization of environmental effects. Electric tractors and other farm machinery have gained popularity due to their environmental benefits, cost savings, and technological advancements. The electric non-road vehicles are not only quieter and more environmentally friendly but also offer the potential for reduced operational costs, making them a compelling choice for farmers looking to modernise their equipment while adhering to stringent environmental regulations. Thus, the concept of an electric tractor becomes an important topic to be discussed. This paper will discuss the development of tractors in Indonesia and proposed design for electric tractors that are suitable for Indonesia to support sustainable farming.

Abstract

Solid welding has always been concerned with probe design, pins, and joint strength. Many researchers have conducted studies on joints, such as butt joints, lap joints, and T joints, but the results show low strength. This study analyzes the mechanical properties of a new design of a 90o angle joint joined by friction stir welding. This study connected aluminum 6061 using the friction stir welding method using a rectifying jig and a probe with EMS 45 material. The corner joint designs used corner-lap 45 with feed rate as independent variables in 6, 8, 10, 15, and 30 mm/min and dependent variable probe rotation speed at 1000 rpm and shoulder pressure in 584 kg. The results show low feed rates create chips and fish fins on the advancing side, and microstructure test results at low feed rates (6-15 mm/min) indicate the presence of interface bonding. The hardness value of the stir zone also shows an insignificant increase. In the tensile test results, the tensile strength decreases from the base metal value, which then the tensile strength increases along with the increase in feed rate up to a feed rate of 15 mm/min and decreases again at a feed rate of 30 mm/min.

Abstract

Planer bamboo machine V2 is a machine used to flatten the top and bottom surfaces of bamboo slats. This machine was made to overcome problems with existing machines in the form and long times of drawstring. An inverter is added to set the rotational speed roller. This study analyzes the effect of a combination of the top and bottom cutting speeds on the rotation speed of roller whose rotation speed was set at frequencies of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 Hz. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of inverter frequency settings on the results of bamboo drawstring. Based on the analysis performed, the appropriate combination for the performance planer bamboo machine is by setting the inverter frequency to 20 Hz with a production result in a day of 54,54 slats drawstring with long of slats 2 meters, with a total power consumption of 2,483 kWh in one hour.

Abstract

Bambu laminasi merupakan material bambu yang mengalami pemrosesan sehingga memiliki bentuk dan ketahanan yang mirip seperti kayu. Rosse Bambu merupakan salah satu unit usaha masyarakat yang menyediakan jasa pembuatan bambu laminasi di Yogyakarta. Produk dari Rosse Bambu antara lain meja kursi, bed dari bambu dan bahkan bahan bangunan struktural untuk struktur rumah. Setelah mengevaluasi mesin kempa yang ada pada Rosse Bambu, diketahui bahwa mesin kempa tersebut kurang efisien dan cenderung membebani pengrajin dalam pengoperasiannya. Sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi pada mesin tersebut. Pada paper ini, dibahas suatu ajuan rancangan desain mesin kempa bambu dan cetakan papan bambu yang dinilai lebih efisien sehingga memudahkan pekerjaan pengrajin dari sisi waktu dan tenaga. Selain itu dari desain yang telah dibuat kemudian dilakukan analisis stress untuk mengetahui efek beban yang akan diberikan pada kerangka mesin kempa. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa, desain yang diajukan memiliki ketahanan terhadap tekanan yang baik atau masih dalam batasan yang dapat diterima sehingga dapat dipertimbangkan untuk diproduksi menjadi model yang sebenarnya
