Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the mathematical reasoning abilities, activities and motivation of students by applying the Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model. This type of experimental research with the design of the Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The experimental and control classes were given a pretest and a posttest to see the difference in improvement between the two. The population in this study were students of class VIII and the sample was not chosen purely randomly, namely by cluster random sampling (random class) and two classes were chosen. Data analysis using statistical tests namely Mann Whutney U-Test and descriptive analysis in the form of a percentage formula and the average score. The results of data analysis show that: (1) There is a difference in the increase in students' mathematical reasoning abilities, and the increase in the experimental class is higher than the control class; (2) Student learning activities in each indicator are in the very high category and the overall average is 88.075%; (3) The average student motivation in each indicator is in the high category and the overall student average is 4.00.Keywords: Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic, Reasoning, Activity, Motivation

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical analysis skills, individual and classical learning completeness, and student learning interest in the tangent material of the VIII class MTs Usshuludin Singkawang by applying the Synectic learning model. This study uses a Quasi-Experimental design using the Nonequivalent Control Group form, the population in this study are all classes of VIII MTs Usshuludin Singkawang consisting of 5 classes totaling 149 people. The sample was taken using the Random Sampling Cluster technique, while the sample consisted of two classes, namely class VIII B (29 students) as an experimental class and class VIII D (30 students) as a control class. The data analysis technique used was the 1 sample t-test to calculate individual completeness, the proportion test to calculate classical completeness, the two independent sample t-tests to calculate differences in mathematical analysis ability improvement, and the one variable t / z test to calculate student interest in learning. The results showed: 1) There was mastery learning both individually and classically that got direct learning using synectic models, 2) There was a difference in the improvement of students 'mathematical analysis skills, the increase in the experimental class was higher than in the control class, 3) The students' interest in learning after being applied to learn using synectic learning models can reach more than 70% of the ideal value. Keywords: Synectic Learning Model, mathematical analysis ability, mastery learning, student interest in learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan sel confodence siswa pada etnik tidayu . subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 5 Singkawang kelas VII. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif . instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes tertulis kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan non tes yaitu angket sel confodence. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada etnik Tionghoa pada kategori hasil angket sedang berjumlah 4 siswa dan hasil angket rendah berjumlah 1 siswa dengan rata – rata hasil tes sebesar 36 termasuk pada kategori sedang. Pada etnik Dayak pada kategori hasil angket sedang berjumlah 5 siswa dengan rata – rata hasil tes sebesar 9 termasuk pada kategori rendah. Selain itu, terlihat bahwa etnik Melayu pada kategori hasil angket sedang berjumlah 4 siswa dan rendah berjumlah 1 siswa dengan rata – rata hasil tes sebesar 31 termasuk pada kategori rendah.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) to analyze the effect of the scientific approach model on improving primary school students' learning outcomes in high and low grades. 2) to analyze the effect of the scientific approach model on improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students based on the model used. This study used a meta-analysis research method with 18 articles as samples from national journals in the 2014-2022 range and the instrument was a sheet with coding. The stages for conducting meta-analysis research are problem formulation; sampling data collection; data analysis, interpretation and presentation of results. The meta-analysis research shows that 1) on the subject of low and high grades, the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model with a scientific approach has a high effect on student learning outcomes in low grades with an average effect size of 0.602 while the inquiry model with a scientific approach has a high effect on student learning outcomes in high grades with an average effect size of 0.525; 2) seen from the type of model used, the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model with a scientific approach has a high effect on improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students with an average effect size of 0.488. It can be concluded in this study that the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model based on the application of a scientific approach is more effective in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students in high grades, while in low grades the incuri model based on the application of a scientific approach is more effective in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students in the scientific approach, and the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model based on the application of a scientific approach is more effective in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students in the model used.
