Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi pemasaran komoditas jagung di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lahan kering kecamatan Labangka dan lahan sawah Kecamatan Utan yang merupakan sentra produksi jagung di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Random Sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menganalisis efisiensi pemasaran diuji dengan melihat saluran pemasaran dan analisis marjin pemasaran. Hasil penelitian terdapat dua saluran utama pemasaran jagung di Kabupaten Sumbawa, yaitu saluran I: petani – pedagang pengumpul desa/kecamatan – pedagang pengumpul antar kabupaten/kota – konsumen (pabrik pakan ternak), dan saluran pemasaran yang ke II: petani – pedagang pengumpul desa – pedagang pengumpul kecamatan – pedagang pengumpul antar kabupaten/kota –konsumen (pabrik pakan ternak). Pemasaran komoditas jagung di Kabupaten Sumbawa sudah berjalan efisien. Hal ini dilihat dari saluran pemasaran, margin dan fasilitas fisik pemasaran menunjukkan bahwa pemasaran jagung di Kabupaten Sumbawa dapat dikatakan cukup efisien.

Abstract

The aim of Samawa University, one of which is to provide organic compost training and practice of manufacturing organic fertilizer in the village of Jurumapin, Buer district West Nusa Tenggara. Compost is an organic fertilizer derived from the remains of plants and animal droppings that have been through a decomposition or weathering process. Compost fertilizer is the main ingredient in cow dung. The advantage of this post is green, which may supplement the farmers' income and can increase soil fertility by repairing soil physically damaged by overuse of inorganic fertilizer. The village of Jurumapin was mainly farmers and ranchers. The waste produced by the people's domesticated animals has not been fully processed for fertilizer. Prolonged use of chemical fertilizers can cause physical damage to the soil, as well as the cost of purchasing fertilizer is prohibitive. The implementation of this MTC programme will be by educating them on how organic compost with basic cow dung. The development of organic fertilizer has been carried out with participants who are members of the caduna youth of the mosque of the Jurumapin village. It is hoped that organic compost products could be applied to plants to reduce the use of chemical fertilizer

Abstract

Development of corn commodity is still superior commodity in West Nusa Tenggara in general and Sumbawa in particular. Therefore, information on corn farming in different agrosystem (wet and dry lands) is needed. Research location was determined purposively. The research used t-test analysis, R/C ratio, production factors, cost, revenue and farming income to analyze data. It is done in Labangka district having great potential for dry land cultivation and Utan district that is corn production center in wet area. Result of the research indicated that average productivity of farming in wet land and dry land are 6,716 kg/ha and 6,092 kg/ha, respectively with t=48.375. Average farmer income in wet area and dry area are Rp.11,183,273 and Rp.10,479,762, respectively. R/C ratio corn farming in dry land = 4,6 and R/C ratio corn farming in wet land = 3.3. It indicates that profit of corn farming in dry land at rainy season is lower than profit of corn farming in wet land in dry season. Keywords: corn farming, dry land, wet land

Abstract

This distribution chain of Sumbawa forest honey has several problems such as the long-distance of the forest from settlements, the fluctuated price of forest honey, which is depended on the quality and the distance to get the honey. The next problem is the high shipping cost to customers, and the packaging must be hygienic and safe. Sumbawa forest honey delivery to consumers must be in good. The purpose of this study is to analyze the marketing chain of Sumbawa forest honey in Sumbawa District, West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. The method of determining location is done by purposive sampling, considering Sumbawa district is the center of Sumbawa forest honey. Respondent's sample determination was done by snowball sampling. The study was conducted by surveying the field by using a questionnaire with relevant institutions and carrying out documentation. The results showed that there were three types of distribution channels from Sumbawa forest honey. The first distribution channel is the honey hunter – the consumer. The second distribution channel is the honey hunter–honey enterprises-consumer. The third distribution chain is the honey hunter–honey enterprises–supermarket –the consumer. The price of honey received by consumers is not the same, depending on the length of the marketing chain. The marketing margin of the first distribution channel was Rp. 0,00. The second distribution were Rp. 60,000.00 and the third distribution were Rp. 50,000.00.Keywords: marketing, distribution chain, Sumbawa forest honey
