Abstract

This study aims to reveal a conceptual strategy regarding the existence of zakat institutions as Islamic philanthropic institutions. The focus of this research concerns zakat and community development. This study intends to determine the role of zakat in enhancing development and strategies for zakat in overcoming community problems, especially economic welfare problems that have not been resolved. This research uses library research method, which examines various literatures or references related to zakat and community development by linking with existing theories and research as a form of accuracy of library research. The results of the discussion indicate that zakat is closely related to community development. The zakat strategy in overcoming community problems, namely: 1) increasing the number of property owners and changing the condition of most poor and poor people to become well-off people, or it can also be termed an economic migration from mustahiq to muzakki, 2) eliminating the nature of begging (chirity) ), 3) eliminating envy and enmity between Muslims, 4) coping with disasters, 5) repeating celibacy, 6) helping refugees.

Abstract

Background. The management of waqf in Sumpang Mango village is the same as the management of waqf in general Indonesia. The waqf in this village is accommodated by the KUA of Pitu Riawa and the village government of Sumpang Mango. Aim. This study aims to examine and determine the strategic description of the management and utilization of waqf land in the village of Sumpang Mango. Methods. The method used in this research is field research with a qualitative approach. Results. The results obtained from this research are that the management of waqf in Sumpang Mango village is already semi-professional and administrative issues are quite good. What needs to be emphasized is the socialization of waqf from the KUA Pitu Riawa or other parties.

Abstract

Background. The majority of the Toraja people embrace Christianity, some are Muslim and believe in animism or commonly called Alu To Dolok. Halal tourism, both in terms of guaranteeing halal products and in terms of places of worship, is needed to increase Muslim tourists in North Toraja Regency.Aim. This study aims to describe the analysis related to the development of halal tourism in the country above the clouds of Nato Hills, North Toraja Regency, in providing religious services and facilities for Muslim tourists.Methods. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, the characteristic of this research lies in the purpose of describing a case by understanding the meaning and symptoms, so that the data analysis used is descriptive analytical.Results. The results showed that the development of halal tourism in North Toraja Regency had experienced rejection due to public misunderstandings regarding the word halal, so the term halal tourism was replaced with Muslim-friendly tourism. The development of domestic halal tourism above the cloud has become a concern for the government, but the budget is limited so that the development of halal tourism is not running effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Zakat is an obligation of a Muslim and is included in the five pillars of Islam. Zakat has a strategic role, namely helping the government handle the poor. This study describes collecting zakat funds in the Amil Zakat Agency of Tana Toraja Regency, a Muslim minority area.  In this study, the method used was qualitative where the researcher conducted direct interviews with the respondents. The results showed that the fundraising strategy at the National Amil Zakat Agency in Tana Toraja Regency was not optimal. Therefore,  the  researcher  recommends  that  Amil BAZNAS Tana  Toraja  Regency  hold a digital  fundraising  training  for  zakat.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to discuss the role of Islamic social finance especially zakat, infaq, alms and endowments in the face of the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses qualitative and descriptive methods with techniques for studying literature (library research). The results showed that Islamic social finance can be a solution in handling Covid-19, by using zakat funds, donations and alms in meeting consumptive needs and endowment funds used in health infrastructure assistance.

Abstract

Fokus pembahasan ini menyangkut tentang investasi dalam ekonomi Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan penjelasan bagaimana pandangan syariah terhadap investasi dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dasar-dasar pengembangan investasi syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka yakni mengkaji berbagai literatur ataupun referensi terkait investasi syariah. Hasil pembahasan menyebutkan bahwasanya investasi dibolehkan dengan syarat tidak melakukan hal-hal yang dilarang dalam syariat. Adapun dasar-dasar pengembangan investasi syariah yaitu menginvestasikan modal sesuai dengan syariat dan menyeleksi orang yang akan diajak kerjasama.
