Abstract

Equipment and machinery cocoa processing in KUB Lintas Sekayam not utilized properly. This study aimed to identify the factors that cause not usefulness the machinery and equipment in KUB Lintas Sekayam at Sanggau Regency in the process of cocoa processing production. Availability of raw materials, capital, labor, cocoa market, trade and management of KUB Lintas Sekayam also identified. The results showed that were 34 machines and equipments already exist in KUB Lintas Sekayam. Between them, that can serve as many as 19 machines and equipment. Among the machines and equipment that function is generally not meet the standards of processing to produce good product quality and capacity is very small, while for their operation need large energy so inefficiently. Other factors that cause machinery and equipment cocoa processing were not operated are the quality of raw materials was low, the quality of the powder and cocoa butter are produced not get the quality standard products as per SNI or health, production management is not running, there is no involvement of skilled personnel and experts in the industry and marketing, product and product quality is still not market-oriented and there is no involvement of capital providers

Abstract

Difficulty of corn farmers for increase their income can be reached by establishing raw materials into finishing product, namely corn sugar. The aim of this study is to find the financial feasibility of processing seed corn into sugar. To determine the feasibility of corn sugar mills conducted a financial feasibility analysis. Financial feasibility analysis results indicate that corn sugar production in Bengkayang feasible on condition Cost of Goods Sold amounted Rp. 84,500.00/Kg. The value of Break Even Point (BEP) 69,387 units, the value of Payback Period (PBP) 2.41, Net Present Value (NPV) Rp.54,592,680,102.46 ,, value Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 25.10%, and the value of Benefit / Cost Ratio (B / C ratio) of 1.35. Investment in corn sugar business still said to be worth doing despite the sensitivity level price down 3% to the sensitivity level of selling prices down 3% and raw materials rose by 4%.

Abstract

Abstract. Coffee is a product of West Kalimantan plantation which has been cultivated hereditary. In each district, coffee is traditionally processed into the coffee beans and ground coffee. This research issue is what products resulting from the processing of coffee cherries of the people and how the economic opportunities of processed coffee products that can be developed in West Kalimantan? The purpose of this study was to determine the type of coffee processing products which was processed by communities in Sambas and Pontianak regency District, and other types of commercially valuable products. This research was conducted in the district of Sambas and Pontianak regency. The study was conducted using financial analysis and multiple linear regression to determine the feasibility and the dominant factor Kalimantan coffee trade. Observation to know the types of people coffee processed products, availability of raw materials and technology. The results showed that the type of the people processed coffee products are coffee beans and ground coffee. Availability of raw materials coffee harvest small and decreasing every year. Coffee cultivation is not attractive to farmers as farm products, because it can not compete with farming of rubber, oil palm and other crops. Although the marketing of coffee available on the domestic market, nationally and abroad. The selling price of the coffee harvest is not in accordance with the cost of farming. There is a coffee product development opportunities in Sambas district, the wild civet coffee (Paradoxurus hermaphrodites).
