Abstract

Library service management is the process of optimizing the contribution of human resources, materials, and budget to achieve the goals of the library or library management process based on management principles and theories. Meanwhile, reading interest is the ability to read and encourages the growth of reading culture and habits. Through reading, students can broaden their insights, sharpen their ideas, and enhance creativity. This research aims to explore the planning, implementation, and assessment of library service activities at State Senior High School 1 Secanggang, Langkat Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The primary data sources for the research are interviews with the school principal, library head, library staff, teachers, and students. Secondary data consists of documents related to library service management in enhancing students' reading interest at State Senior High School 1 Secanggang, Langkat Regency. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and checking data validity by comparing interview data with the research object. The results of the research show that library service management in enhancing reading interest at State Senior High School 1 Secanggang, Langkat Regency, is well-established. The planning activities begin with meetings attended by the school principal, library head, library staff, teachers, and students. The implementation of library services is carried out by two library staff members with their respective schedules and is supervised by the library head. Assessment is conducted for the school principal, library head, library staff, teachers, and students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the curriculum used by madrasas and their implementation in basic education institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, interviews, and document studies. Furthermore, data analysis uses data sorting, presentation, and data verification techniques. The results of this study conclude that the curriculum used by Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Washliyah Stabat is the 2013 curriculum (revised) as a learning guide and human resource development (teachers and students) in madrasas. Implementation of the curriculum begins with socialization to teachers regarding changes in the 2013 curriculum, providing training for teachers to improve classroom management skills and the learning process, preparing academic schedules, completing textbooks (for students or teachers according to the latest edition), as well as carrying out academic supervision and managerial in the learning process.

Abstract

The communication strategy is the main capital for the head of the madrasa in forming a conducive learning climate in the madrasa. This study aims to analyze the principal's strategy in implementing organizational communication at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Kesuma LKMD, Namorambe District. This study used a qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive method. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and document study. The results of this study conclude that the implementation of organizational communication strategies (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) in MI Kesuma LKMD Jatikesuma is in a good category, as seen in the following conditions: (1) Vertical communication in madrasas is not good enough, due to the lack of presence of the head schools in the process of teaching and learning activities; (2) Horizontal communication in the Jatikesuma madrasah is quite good. The high level of interaction among members of the same level and the still weak organizational cooperation indicates that the interaction is carried out more on non-formal communication. (3) Diagonal communication in madrasas is carried out well, because all members of the organization at different levels of position are given the freedom to communicate, both formal and non-formal.

Abstract

This study examines leading school and college improvement, the research method uses the type of library research, which is a series of activities related to library data collection methods. The results of the study found that to improve the quality of education in schools, various management models and quality improvement strategies could be taken, including Total Quality Management Theory, Organizing Business For Excelency Theory, Four Factor Quality Improvement Models, and Education Quality Improvement through School-Based Management. The strategy to improve the quality of education in schools can be done in the following ways: namely a strategy that emphasizes the results (the output oriented strategy), a strategy that emphasizes the process (the process oriented strategy), and a comprehensive strategy (the comprehensive strategy). As for the challenges in efforts to improve the quality of education in schools, there are many but in essence the inadequate resources of education actors in schools, political will from policy holders and the education policy itself. Some things that must be considered in connection with the strategy to improve the quality of education in universities include Students Who Are Educated, Lecturers as Educators and Teachers, Facilities and Infrastructure
