Abstract

The use of Sang Hyang Sambah in Ngusabha Sambah ceremony in the village of Pakraman Pesedahan is very unique, as one of the means that support the implementation of religious ceremony based on the five basic forms of practice namely: iksa, sakti, village, kala, and tattwa so there are various forms and functions of upakara variety. Sang Hyang Sambah in Ngusabha Sambah ceremony in the village of Pakraman Pesedahan in addition to having its own characteristics, also contains value for the community supporters so that its use is maintained until now. Theories used to solve this research problem are structural functional theory, value theory and cognitive theory. This research is in the form of qualitative design. Based on the analysis, obtained the conclusion as the result of research, as follows: (1) Sang Hyang Sambah is one of the means in Ngusabha Sambah ceremony in the village of Pakraman Pesedahan. Sang Hyang Sambah shaped pelinggih made of plant material and made before the ceremony Ngusabha Sambah. (2) Sang Hyang Sambah in the process of Ngusabha Sambah ceremony has a ceremonial function as a form of sacrifice that is a religious function as  a tool to cultivate belief in God, and social function to enhance a sense of togetherness. (3) The meaning that is contained in Sang Hyang Sambah in Ngusabha Sambah ceremony among others tattwa seen in people’s belief in Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, ethics is reflected in the attitude.

Abstract

There is an inheritance of classical texts written in lontar leaves in the form of poetry and untold. Classical texts in the form of classified prose such as parwa, babad, speech, wariga and usadha. While the classical text in the form of poetry is classified as a form of script that uses songs such as: kakawin, kidung and gaguritan. Gaguritan Mituturin Angga is an essay that contains advice for yourself. The theory used to solve research problems is the theory of functional structure, and value theory. This research takes the form of a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. Data is collected by using, literature studies, and text studies. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed with qualitative descriptive methods.Based on this analysis, the ethical value of Gaguritan Mituturin Angga emphasizes the importance of children showing an attitude of filial piety to parents and other creatures as an application process / practice of the teachings of Tri Kaya Parisudha. Social value Gaguritan Mituturin Angga emphasizes good behavior in life, especially when faced with complicated problems involving the social field, the value of yoga education emphasizes the control of the mind of all temptations both temptations of destiny and outward temptations of others, the value of wiweka emphasizes the ability to distinguish -different, weighing, and finally choosing between good and bad, and divine value emphasizing the importance of understanding and mastery of characters that build the human body as a form of identity, especially Hindus.

Abstract

In the holy book of Bhagawad Gita that is one of Hindu’s holy book that assumed as pancamo weda. In the holy bookk of Bhagawad Gita, there are eighteen chapter which is unity that in each chapter contents holy teaching that should as guidance in human life. One of lesson that written in the holy book is Dharma Yudha Karma that written at chapter II that is Samkhya yoga? At this lesson assumed important explored its existence and how is the form of this lesson. There are some function of lesson of Dharma Yuda Karma that are spiritual function and improvement on life quality through incline of spiritual that have important position in the society. There are some education value that contents inside as follows ethic education value, ritual education value and tattwa education value that taken from Hindu’s doctrine self.

Abstract

Hinduism in conveying the teachings of his religion is not only always conveyed through dharma discourse, but also done through literary works, one of which is the story of Atma Prasangsa. This story tells the spiritual journey of Bhagawan Penyarikan. During his journey, the bhagawan saw how the atma was treated in such a way, there were those who were given gifts but also were repeatedly tortured. Therefore the author is interested in examining the story of this Atma Prasangsa to find out how the Atma Prasangsa story is, and what Hindu theological concepts are contained in the Atma Prasangsa story. This study uses a qualitative design, in conducting research on the story of Atma Prasangsa using research methods that are designed  first determine the object of research, determine the source and type of data, determine research instruments, determine data collection techniques, conduct data analysis and test data validity. From the results of the study it was found that the contents of the story of Atma Prasangsa tell the story of the spiritual journey of Bhagawan in the extraction and recounting the karma pahala of Atma obtained at the time of the Atman world. In general, the story of Atma Prasangsa contains the concept of Hindu theology in the form of tattwa, susila and acara.

Abstract

Guidance on Hindu teachings is poured in the legacy of Hindu literary works in the form of stories or Hindu mythology, such as stories of Babad, Tantri, the epic Mahabharata and the Ramayana. The literary works that are inherited certainly have features in them, one of which is the Tantri story. From the various Tantri stories that exist, in this study raised one of the Tantri stories entitled Batur Taskara. In essence, this story tells about the occurrence of the law of cause and effect from the actions of the previous Batur Taskara. This scientific work in the form of descriptive qualitative design. This scientific work is purely studying texts. Data were collected using document study techniques and interview techniques. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed through three stages namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on this analysis, conclusions are obtained as a result, as follows: (1) The structure of the Batur Taskara story includes, synopsis, themes, plot, characters, background and message of the story. (2) The teachings of Hinduism contained in the Batur Taskara story are the teachings of Yoga, Panca Satya, Sad Ripu and Karmaphala

Abstract

The quantity of students for a college is of particular concern, this is because the quantity of students indirectly affects public confidence in educational institutions. In addition, the quantity of students will also affect the assessment process of the institution by the competent body or institution. So that the quantity of students is always strived to increase every year both by universities and study programs as a unit of education in it. The selection of a study program is not a question that can be decided simply. There are many determinants that prospective students should consider. From various searches of literary sources, it was found that the factor that determines the basis for choosing is attraction or attractiveness.In addition, a person's decision to make a choice often occurs very quickly sometimes less than half a minute and is influenced by the likes and beliefs.The study program in attracting prospective students must conduct study and analysis as a first step.Looking at what are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges that may arise today, this of course becomes important because the results of this study can affect in the process of achieving organizational goals, especially in an effort to increase the number of students.

Abstract

Every human individual is always in the process of forming his character, because a character is formed starting from the family, school, and environment. Formally, the formation of human character is formed consciously and systematically in developing self-potential. Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village has a religious tradition which is considered as a place for internalizing character values which is devoted as a form of cultural resilience in the Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village, which is held annually and every three years for muran which is marked with sasih kapat twice in one year which is right on sasih kalima according to the calendar system of the Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village is called Ngusaba Sambah. The results of this scientific paper using a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach.

Abstract

Art is a form of expression of the soul that cannot be separated from human beings. Art makes human’s life more beautiful and colorful. Various kinds of art forms were created by humans as a form of existence and self-expression, be it in the form of dance, painting, and various other types of art. Bali as one of the world's international tourist destinations cannot be separated from the various kinds of arts in it. One of them is karawitan or art of sound. Karawitan art itself is divided into two types, namely instrumental musical art in the form of gamelan, and vocal karawitan. The art of karawitan, especially gamelan in Bali, is not only a complement to religious ceremonies or the pouring of creative ideas, but also has a very significant influence on the Balinese people and the listeners of the gamelan. The shape of the gamelan is also able to influence the soul and human behavior that dissolves in the atmosphere brought by the gamelan players. The implementation of gamelan art, either directly or indirectly, has ethical and aesthetic values. Through gamelan art, humans will learn ethical and aesthetic values. If viewed from the aesthetic value, gamelan art contains the values of truth (Satyam), purity (Shivam), and beauty (Sundaram) which are concepts of Hindu aesthetics itself. In terms of ethical values, gamelan art teaches one to learn to respect one another and learn the meaning of equality where everyone has the same position according to their respective duties and functions. Through gamelan, humans learn to harmonize what is said and what is done.

Abstract

Geguritan adalah satu bentuk karangan dalam kesusastraan Bali yang disusun dengan menggunakan pupuh-pupuh. Salah satu Karya Sastra tersebut terdapat dalam Geguritan Ni Sumala yang menyebutkan perjalanan hidup yang dialami oleh anak cacat dan tidak mempunyai sanak keluarga. Anak itu selalu dicemooh oleh temannya, dihina dalam masyarakat tapi akhirnya ia menemukan kebahagiaan. Geguritan Ni Sumala bukan saja merupakan karya sastra klasik yang sangat indah namun disamping itu mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan etika yang sangat dalam maknanya. Disamping itu Geguritan Ni Sumala banyak mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan yang sangat perlu diketahui dan dipahami oleh masyarakat luas. Dengan timbulnya anggapan yang negatif bahwa geguritan maupun cerita rakyat adalah karya cipta yang sangat ketinggalan jaman, sehingga tak perlu lagi untuk dipelajari dan diteruskan kepada generasi berikutnya.
