Abstract

This study aimed to know the differences and to describe the ability of problem solving and critical thinking skills of students who engaged in Problem Based Learning with geogebra with students who took conventional learning. This research was a quasi-experimental study using post-test only control group design. The population of this research is the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri I Petang academic year of 2019/2020. There were 366 students in class X of SMA Negeri I Petang and were divided into eleven classes. In this study, the sample used were 65 students who were divided into two classes (experimental and control classes). The sample was determined by cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments were in the form of problem solving skills and mathematical critical thinking tests. The data obtained were analyzed using MANOVA test. The results of the analysis showed that the students’ ability in solving problems and thinking critically using Problem Based Learning model assisted with geogebra was better than those who took conventional learning (F = 1917,095 and Sig. = 0,000; ρ <0.05)

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps improve efficiency, personalized learning, effective feedback, teaching effectiveness, as well as prepare students for a world increasingly dominated by technology. In today's digital era, the field of education has witnessed a significant transformation through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of AI in high school learning. The research approach that the compiler uses is a qualitative method with a type of literature study. Data is collected through various relevant article sources. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this study is that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has a significant impact on technological development in high school students and the education system, the application of new technology and new programs certainly has positive and negative impacts depending on how the user is. So it can be concluded that AI in high school learning if used properly and correctly will have a positive impact and avoid negative impacts

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas metode pembelajaran interaktif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa di tingkat sekolah menengah. Menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental, sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa kelas XI di SMKN 2 Tambolaka yang dibagi secara acak menjadi dua kelompok: kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional) dan eksperimen (pembelajaran interaktif). Instrumen penelitian meliputi kuesioner keterlibatan siswa, tes pemahaman materi pelajaran, dan observasi kelas. Setelah pre-test, kelompok eksperimen menerima pembelajaran interaktif selama 8 minggu, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menerima pembelajaran konvensional. Post-test dilakukan untuk mengukur pemahaman akhir siswa, dan data dianalisis dengan uji t. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen memiliki keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi (M=4.5, SD=0.5) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (M=3.2, SD=0.7) dan pemahaman yang lebih baik (M=85, SD=6 dibandingkan M=70, SD=10; p < 0.05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran interaktif secara signifikan meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa. Integrasi metode ini dalam kurikulum dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk eksplorasi lebih luas dan pengembangan alat yang lebih inovatif.
