Abstract

To have an education is the right of Indonesian citizens, including persons with disabilities. Likewise, it is stated in Ministry of PUPR Article 10 of Law no. 8/2016 and from Article 5 of the Regulation of the Menristekdikti 2017, where university have to provides facilities and infrastructure according to the needs of students with special needs. The Lack of the facilities for disabled person in the higher education, caused only 5 % from 10,8 million with dissabilities gain  degree from the universities. Therefore, Telkom University as an institution need to consider in providing higher education that can meet this needs. This research is expected to provide an overview for the development of design accessibility at the FIK Telkom University campus for them to get in the future. The method used is  qualitative descriptive approach. The result is FIK Telkom university have not meet the standard from Persyaratan Kemudahan bangunan Gedung PUPR and also ADCET. Whether Telkom University wants to be an inclusive campus, the university have put big effort in the inter-way access and also the inter-floor access, and most of the facilities needed to be improved considering to providing all facilities for the student with special needs.

Abstract

Yayasan WWF Indonesia (World Wide Fund for Nature) merupakan salah satu organisasi konservasi independen terbesar di Indonesia yang telah memulai kegiatannya sejak tahun 1962. Kantor pusat WWF terletak di Jakarta Selatan, bertugas untuk menangani masalah-masalah seputar konservasi, restorasi lingkungan, hingga pengolahan data penelitian. Kantor Pusat WWF Indonesia ini merupakan kantor pusat yang aktivitasnya meliputi kegiatan kepengurusan organisasi, kegiatan administrasi, dan kegiatan kepengurusan mitra kerja dan kepemerintahan. WWF ini memiliki aktivitas khusus lainnya yang menjadi ciri khas kantor yaitu menjalin hubungan kerjasama dengan komunitasnya hingga pemberian edukasi ke masyarakat berupa kampanye (seminar, talkshow, roadshow, dll). Di Negara besar seperti Inggris dan Australia telah mengembangkan pembangunan kantor dengan penunjang learning area untuk masyarakat yang bertujuan mendidik masyarakatnya tentang pengetahuan lingkungan. Perancangan Living Planet Center ini merupakan sebuah kawasan dimana Kantor Pusat WWF Indonesia, dengan fasilitas penunjang learning area atau pusat pembelajaran tentang lingkungan hidup dan konservasi alam berbentuk interactive exhibition, dan auditorium pertemuan. Perancangan ini diharapkan dapat membantu kegiatan perkantoran karyawan WWF Indonesia dan juga untuk membantu kegiatan komunikasi dan edukasi ke masyarakat baik dalam segi penyampaian informasi maupun pengaplikasian desain.

Abstract

Cerebral Palsy is a condition characterized by poor muscle control, stiffness, paralysis, to other nerve disorders. These children are at the highest level of priority among children with special needs. Helping children with Cerebral Palsy can be realized through the design of a special therapy centre for children with Cerebral Palsy.  The design of this therapy centre will be specified in the design concept of the play therapy room because in this case, the playground works as well as therapeutic method for children. This study was conducted using qualitative descriptive analytical methods in Risantya facility which applies play as a therapeutic approach. The observation focused on the activities of the children in the playground. It was found that four factors play an important role in the therapy area. A.B.L.E. has meaning, namely A for Attractive Colours, B for Bump, Bruise, and Pain-Free, L for Low Physical Effort, and E for Engaged positively with movement. The concept is described to therapy centre, especially in the play therapy room, where this concept aims to provide a sense of ease, safety, and comfort to children when doing activities.
