Abstract

Planning is an important and strategic element and provides direction in the implementation of activities to achieve the desired goals or objectives. The focus of this research is community-based education planning which is detailed in research problems, namely curriculum implementation planning and academic planning. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Technique of data validity with source triangulation. The data analysis uses the following procedures: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research results: The curriculum applied at PKBM Miftahul Huda Majalengka uses a mixed curriculum or modification of the national curriculum combined with the Miftahul Huda Majalengka Taklim Council curriculum. The curriculum implementation planning has been made by the teacher. To support the implementation of the curriculum, an academic plan is made. The special academic planning in PKBM Miftahul Huda Majalengka is the Preparatory Class. Suggestions that can be given: (1) So that every teacher makes a complete curriculum implementation plan. (2) Recruitment of teaching staff according to their specialization.

Abstract

The low literacy skills of students in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Indonesia (RI), since 2015 the government has implemented the School Literacy Movement (SLM) program. It is only that in early 2020 the program was disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is to describe how the SLM program was implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic in a secondary school in West Java Province, Indonesia. This descriptive qualitative research uses the literature study method. The main reference sources are literacy movement manuals published by the Indonesian government, activity programs compiled by the school, and other secondary sources. The results showed that with the active collaboration of school residents, SMP ASBP KBB and SMP NKB West Java Province, Indonesia, continued to implement the SLM program even though during a pandemic emergency. Various initiatives made schools more adaptive to the presence of internet technology, making activities more meaningful, integrated, and appropriate. parameters have been able to create a Literate School Ecosystem (LSE) as the main goal of program success.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools educate students to study religious knowledge, to be skilled and independent when they return from boarding schools to be role models. The general purpose of this research is to find out the empowerment of students in an effort to improve the economy in Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach, descriptive method with observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that the planning of the empowerment of students started from the vision and mission, programs, objectives, stages and strategies of empowerment. Organizing, that each head of the business unit has the responsibility to control, guide, direct and report to the leadership of the pesantren. Santri, alumni and the community are involved in the organizational structure, this placement is adjusted to the abilities and skills possessed. Implementation, refers to a needs analysis, namely what is needed by students, congregations and the community, starting from the leadership example, training, dividing groups according to interests, mentoring, guidance which is a follow-up to the training. Evaluation is carried out according to the situation and conditions but routine activities are carried out weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually. Supporting factors include exemplary leadership, public trust, the location of the limited professional human resources, some are less updated with the times, family innate factors with different backgrounds, the existence of Islamic boarding schools The results of the empowerment of students in both economic boarding schools are increasing and developing.
