Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was aimed at knowing whether the implementation of modified gasing game was effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. The population in this study was the students of Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang Elementary School with a total sample of 25 students by using a random sampling technique. The Classroom Action Research objectives were to describe the use of a modified-gasing game on vocabulary, to investigate the Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang Elementary School fourth grade students’ vocabulary mastery and to identify the improvement of the Elementary School fourth grade students’ vocabulary mastery using a modified-gasing game. It employed three cycles with four stages (planning, action, observation, and reflection). In each cycle, the data were analyzed to find out the increase in students’ vocabulary. The researcher used the observation, test and documentation in collecting the data. The results of the research indicated that the implementation of gasing game was merely effective in improving the students’ vocabulary in terms of numerical grade scores. The results showed the improvement in each cycle as in the first cycle by 0 percent, in the second cycle by 48 percent, and in the third cycle by 96 percent which are categorized very good. The results concluded that this modified-gasing game can improve the Muhammadiyah 2 Singkawang Elementary School fourth grade students’ vocabulary significantly in the aspects of word guessing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Pendekatan BCCT di Kelas Apel (TK A) PAUD Kasih Ibu Kecamatan Pontianak Tenggara yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perencanaan; (2) Pelaksanaan; (3) Penilaian,pada pendekatan pembelajaran tersebut. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan informasi yang tepatdan lengkap dari PAUD Kasih Ibu agar berguna bagi akademisi, praktisi, dan masyarakat luas, khususnyabagi bidang PAUD untuk usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan deskripsi analitikmelalui wawancara terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Proses pembelajarannya meliputi empatpijakan, yaitu: Lingkungan main, sebelum main, saat main, dan setelah main. Ada empat sumberpengumpul data dalam penelitian ini: (1) Dua orang guru Kelas Apel; (2) Kepala Sekolah PAUD KasihIbu; dan (3) Sekretaris yang juga sebagai anggota pengelola PAUD Kasih Ibu. Hasil penelitiannyamenunjukkan kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian penerapan pendekatan BCCT di KelasApel (TK A) PAUD Kasih Ibu adalah “Cukup baik”. Analisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaiandifokuskan pada Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Harian (RPPH) yang dibuat oleh guru-guru KelasApel PAUD Kasih Ibu dari bulan September 2015 sampai dengan bulan November 2015. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD), Pendekatan BCCT, RPPH

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, and supporting and inhibiting factors of the preparation center learning model for class B children at the Mujahidin 2 Pontianak Kindergarten. Descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were preparatory center teachers. Data collection uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. The technique for checking data validity is triangulation. Based on the research results, a summary of the planning for the preparatory center learning model can be carried out by first preparing the teacher's Daily Learning Implementation Plan (RPPH), Weekly Learning Implementation Plan (RPPM) and Learning Implementation Plan (RPPS) and preparing learning tools and media, implementing the preparatory center learning model carried out with active learning and taking steps such as playing environment steps, initial steps (before playing), steps during play and steps after playing. After the lesson ends, the children sit in a circle and close the lesson. Evaluation uses daily evaluation checklists, portfolios and periodic reports each semester. The supporting factor is that the teacher actively provides motivation during the learning process. The inhibiting factors are the lack of main tools and children who cannot stay still during the learning process. Thus, this research shows that the planning, implementation and evaluation of the preparation of the management center in class B of Mujahidin 2 Kindergarten (TK) was declared good. ABSTRAK Tujuan Penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat model pembelajaran sentra persiapan pada anak kelas B di Taman Kanak-Kanak Mujahidin 2 Pontianak. Metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru sentra persiapan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data adalah triangulaasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan perencanaan model pembelajaran sentra persiapan dilakukan dengan terlebih dahulu guru menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Harian (RPPH), Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Mingguan (RPPM) dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran  (RPPS) dan menyiapkan alat dan media pembelajaran, pelaksanaan model pembelajaran sentra persiapan dilakukan dengan pembelajaran aktif dan melaksanakan pijakan-pijakan seperti pijakan lingkungan main,pijakan awal (sebelum main), pijakan saat main dan pijakan setelah main. Setelah pembelajaran berakhir, anak duduk melingkar dan menutup pembelajaran. Evaluasi menggunakan ceklis evaluasi harian, portofolio dan laporan periodik tiap semester. Faktor pendukung yaitu guru aktif memberi motivasi saat proses pembelajaran. Faktor penghambat yaitu kurangnya jumlah alat main dan anak yang tidak bisa diam saat proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pada pengelolaan sentra persiapan di kelas B Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) Mujahidin 2 dinyatakan baik.
