Abstract

This study aims to see the feasibility of the brown sugar household industry in the village of gemalasari, Rangsang District, Kepualuan Meranti Regency. The population and sample in this study were brown sugar home industries in Gemalasari Village which stated 10 businesses. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Technique data through observation methods, and questionnaires. The data analysis method used is quantitative and descriptive analysis. Financial analysis is performed to analyze financial aspects such as Net Present Value (NPV), Benefeit Cost Ratio (B / C Ratio), Internal Rate Of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP). And descriptive analysis to analyze nonfinancial feasibility such as market aspects, technical aspects, and socioeconomic aspects. The results of this study indicate that the brown sugar home industry in Gemalasari Village, Rangsang Subdistrict, Meranti Islands Regency is feasible to be developed. This can be seen from the results of the financial feasibility analysis which shows the NPV value of 28,826,971.1> 0, B / C Ratio 1.06> 1, IRR 32.5%> 12% and the payback period (PP) 2 years 1 month 28 days. So it can be denied that the brown sugar household industry in Gemalasari Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency is feasible to develop financially in the research area.Keywords: small industry chop, brown sugar, Financial and non financial feasibility analysis, NPV, B / C Ratio, IRR, PP

Abstract

This study aims (1) to analyze the omzet level of micro, small and medium enterprises before and after the existence of Indomaret and Alfamart. (2) Analyzing the growth rate of turnover of micro, small and medium enterprises before and after the existence of Indomaret and Alfamart. (3) Analyzing the number of buyers who came to the micro, small, and medium enterprise stores before and after the existence of Indomaret and Alfamart. (4) Analyze changes in the opening hours of micro, small, and medium business stores before and after the existence of Indomaret and Alfamart. This study uses primary data through distributing questionnaires to ninety respondents spread across the city of Pekanbaru. In this study, a quantitative descriptive analysis tool was used which aims to describe a phenomenon, event, symptom, and incident that occurred factually, systematically, and accurately and a sign test which aims to determine the impact of the effect of the sustainability of micro, small and medium enterprises before and after the existence of Indomaret and Alfamart. The results of the sign test of the ninety respondents studied based on the 5% significance level indicated that the p-value <0.05 meant that there was a significant impact. These results indicate a change in the level of turnover, profit and store opening hours due to the presence of Indomaret and Alfamart around micro, small and medium enterprises.Keywords: Impact, UMKM, Indomaret, Alfamart

Abstract

This study aims to see the business competition in the sago flour industry in Merbau District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency. The Population and sampel in this study were the sago flour industry in Merbau, which may have 11 business units. Th data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data that comes from questionnaires and secondary data used is data obtained from the Department of Industry and Trade of Meranti Islands Regency in 2014-2018. The research used descriptive and quantitative analysis to see the competitive conditions of the sago flour industry in Merbau District, Kepualauan Meranti Regency. The analytical test tool used in this research is the Market Structure, CR4, IHH, and Porter’s analysis. The Results of the market structure study showed that CR4 51,62 % is included in the middle to lower market category of monopolistic competition or lose oligopoly markets. And the Herfindahl-Hirchman Indeks value shows this 1,045,95 is included in the category of effective competition or monopoly market. The results of the porter analysis show that the competitive condition of the sago flour industry in Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency is quite high. This is because there are still many sago flour industries and sago flour that do not have business licenses. From the low supplier variable, the sago flour industry has a fairly high number of buyers, namely 10-25 consumers per day. The newcomer variable is slow, because the number of sago flour industries in the last 5 years has had 3 new business. And for the substitution variable for the sago flour industry in Merbau Regency, there are 6 sago flour industries that do not have a business license.Key Words: Industrial Competition, Sagu Flour, CR4, IHH, Porter
