Abstract

Creativity is a person's ability to create something new. Creativity of students need to be cultivated by all of their environment, such as school environment. Schools accreditations status is one of the determinants environment of student creativity. This article aimed to describe the students' learning creativity profile based on their school's accreditation status. To this end, a survey method was applied. A questionnaire of students' learning creativity was deployed through Google Form. Participants in this study were 2nd-grade students of public junior high schools with accreditation status of National Standard School (SSN), A, and B. The results of the study showed a significant average difference in students' ability in dealing with learning problems between SSN- and A-accredited schools. The average ability to deal with learning problems is also significantly different between A- and B-accredited schools. A significant difference was also found in the students' interest in learning creations and ability to develop in learning between SSN- and A-accredited junior high schools. The results of this study could be used as empirical data for research on guidance and counseling programs to develop students' creativity in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the Clear Ideas Training Model has increased the creativity of guidance and counseling teachers. Using a mixed-method with a concurrent embedded strategy over three unior High School Guidance and Counseling teachers who served in West Bandung Regency. The research stage consists of preliminary studies and exploring the profile of creative teachers through guided group discussions, development of implicit theories of creativity, exploration of teachers' creative growth mindset, exploration of creative motivation, and trials of implementing the Clear Ideas Training Model. In the preliminary study and trial of the training model, a single case study method with ABA design was used. Research findings show that the Clear Ideas Training Model is effective for enhancing participants' creativity. This is evidenced by creative ideas’ emergence at the 'erupt' stage and the successful implementation of creative ideas in the form of innovative guidance and counseling services at the Clear stage. At the align for delivery stage, a creative product for Guidance and Counseling teachers was launched through Instagram social media under the name "Guidance and Counseling Teacher Creativity Room" as an effort to diffuse innovation to students as users as well as to get feedback manifested as followers, likes and comments as parameters for the acceptance of creative products. Recommendations are addressed to the Guidance and Counseling Teacher Deliberation in order to consider the Clear Ideas Training Model as an alternative strategy for increasing teacher creativity. Keywords: creativity; school counselors; Clear Ideas training model

Abstract

Pekerja sosial pada setting sekolahan bertanggung jawab memberikan layanan secara menyeluruh disain program untuk pendidikan, karir, pribadi, dan pengembangan sosial untuk seluruh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mekanisme teor implisit kreativitas yaitu pengetahuan implisit guru bimbingan dan konseling terhadap profil pribadi kreatif (implisit knowledge of Creative Person) dan persepsi sosial guru bimbingan dan konseling terhadap profil pribadi kreatif (social perception of the creative person). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subject pada penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga orang guru bimbingan dan konseling yang bertugas di Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Kabupaten Bandung Barat - Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengetahuan informan terhadap pribadi kreatif dikenal sebagai individu yang penuh semangat dan religius, pantang menyerah, tekun dan memiliki daya imajinasi tinggi. Sedangkan persepsi sosial informan terhadap orang kreatif mengharapkan bahwa keberadaan orang kreatif senantiasa bermanfaat bagi umat, selalu memberikan solusi bagi persoalan di masyarakat dengan karya yang inovatif, serta peduli terhadap kesejahteraan sosial di lingkungan masyarakat . Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi strategi peningkatan kreativitas melalui persepsi yang positif terhadap orang kreatif sehingga mendorong individu dalam segala bidang untuk meraih pencapaian kreatif dengan melakukan hal-hal baru, belajar hal baru, dan menyelesaikan sesuatu dengan cara dan inovasi baru.

Abstract

Personality is one of the aspects of a school counselor’s professional competence, which is shown by the ability to carry out creative and innovative services. This study aims to profile and analyze school counselors’ creative personalities in West Bandung Regency. This survey study distributed a creative personality questionnaire through Google Form to sixty-eight school counselors in junior high schools in West Bandung Regency. The study result showed that 18% of the participants have low creativity, 60% have moderate creativity, and 22% have high creativity. Further scrutiny through sub variable analysis showed that 19% of participants have low creativity in terms of product, while 56% and 25% have moderate and high creativity, respectively. Regarding participants’ creative attitude, 12% exhibited a low attitude, 69% exhibited a moderate attitude, and 19% exhibited a high attitude toward creativity. Lastly, 18% of participants have low creative behaviors, 68% have moderate creative behaviors, and 16% have high creative behaviors. The result of this study could be used as empirical data for developing school counselors’ creativity.
