Abstract

Bacterial leaf blight (BLB) is a major disease in Indonesian lowland rice.This research was undertaken to pyramid three BLB resistant genes xa5, Xa7 and Xa21 and one background BLB resistant gene Xa4 into Ciherang and Inpari 13 varieties. The donor parent Code (Xa4+Xa7) was crossed with Angke (Xa4+xa5) while Ciherang and Inpari 13 were crossed with IRBB21 (Xa21). Progenies were selected using marker assisted selection and yield component observation. Foreground selection was conducted using SSR and STS markers linked with the targeted genes in the F1 and DCF1 population. Individuals with triple positives Xa genes were screened for the presence of Xa4 gene as the background. Selected heterozygote plants in F1 Code x Angke, F1 Ciherang x IRBB21 and F1 Inpari 13 x IRBB21 were used to develop DCF1 population. Molecular analysis on DCF1 population through alleles of three BLB resistant genes xa5, Xa7 and Xa21 and one background BLB resistant gene Xa4 resulted 8 (2,6%) in DCF1 Ciherang and 13 (3,5%) in DCF1 Inpari 13. Yield component characters on F1 Code x Angke resulted significant in number of panicle. F1 Ciherang x IRBB21, F1 Inpari 13 x IRBB21 and DCF1 Ciherang resulted significant in weight of empty grain while DCF1 Inpari 13 resulted no significance in all of observed characters. Keywords: Rice, F1 Population, DCF1 Population, molecular marker, Xa gene

Abstract

Bacterial leaf blight disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv oryzae (Xoo) is one of the important bacterial diseases,which is very destructive to rice plant. In this study, seventy isolates of Xoo were collected from several regions inWest Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java provinces and ten isolates from ICABIOGRAD collection. Theaim of the study was to survey variation and distribution of the pathogen and to study the interactions between theisolates and near isogenic lines carrying specific genes for bacterial leaf blight resistance. Twenty Xoo isolates wererandomly chosen to assess the differential characteristics of ten near-isogenic rice lines in Indonesia. The resultsshowed that xa5 resistant gene was the highest effective against the majority of Xoo isolate, followed by Xa21, andXa7 combined with Xa4 as the background. These findings are useful for rice breeding programs in designing stablebroad-spectrum bacterial blight resistant rice cultivars.Key words: Xanthomonas oryzae, resistant gene, Near isogenic line, Java

Abstract

The aimed ofthis research is to find out the influence significantly work discipline to service at Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office.Hypothesis which researcher is have proposed in this research is contents : there is positive influence work discipline to service at Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office.Sampling of this research is a few of employee at Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office amount 30 persons. The used instrument to find out the data in this research is the questionnaire, that used to know the work discipline and service Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office. The data analysis done with product moment correlation and simple regression linier analysis.The result of analysis calculation product moment correlation between employee work discipline variabel (X) with employee service (Y) at Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office show correlation coefficient amount r = 0,645. This case mean there is positive correlation between work discipline with employee service at Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office. Whereas based on interpretation criteria correlation coefficient amount 0,645 be in strong connection level. The result of regression linier analysis also show determinant coefficient amount r2 = 0,416. This case mean hypothesis which proposed in this research is accepted. Based on count get the regression similarity below : Y = 8,103 + 0,667 X. With this can be concluded that employee work discipline has positive and significant influent to employee service at Samarinda Police Union Pamong Praja Office are 41,60%.

Abstract

This research uses the drama series entitled "My Unfamiliar Family" from South Korea as the research object. This drama series tells the story of the pressures and challenges, both internal and external, that come to a family and how to adapt. Therefore, an introduction to the challenges and ways to adapt was carried out based on the Characteristics of Resilient Family Protection and Recovery Factors and the Family Resilience Framework. The research method used is a qualitative method with Tzevetan Todorov's narrative analysis model. The results of this research show that the family in the My Unfamiliar Family series can survive and return to a balance point by adapting as mentioned in the theory of family resilience. Specifically, resilience factors related to the adaptation process in this drama series include family communication, open sharing of emotions, agreement between family members, connectedness, belief systems, brotherhood, and collaborative problem solving. Apart from that, this research also has the novelty of using drama series as research objects in the study of family resilience and national resilience.
