<![CDATA[Abstrak: Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah usaha untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik Student Teams Achievement Devisions (STAD) pada pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Siantan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), dan sifat penelitian bersifat kolaboratif, subyek penelitian yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Siantan yang berjumlah 24 orang. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung, teknik dokumenter, dan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan observasi melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik Student Teams Achievement Devisions (STAD) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif teknik Student Teams Achievement Devisions (STAD) pada pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Siantan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik, diterima. Kata kunci : Motivasi Belajar, Kooperatif Teknik Student Teams Achievement Devisions (STAD) Abstract: The problem in this research is an attempt to improve the learners' motivation by using cooperative learning model in social sciences subjects at the fourth grade students in the Elementary School 04 Siantan. This research method is descriptive, in classroom action research, and the nature of this research is qualitative research, the research subjects are teacher and learners elementary school fourth grade students in the Elementary School 04 Siantan which consisted of 24 people in whole. The techniques used in this research were the technique of direct observation, documentary technique, and data collection tool were used as observation guidelines. The result based on observation by using cooperative learning model had improved learners' motivation. This shows that the hypothesis that stated the application cooperative learning model in social science lessons at the fourth grade in the Elementary School 04 Siantan can improve learners' motivation, accepted.
