Abstract

This paper departs from the author's anxiety to see the lack of enthusiasm and activeness of young people, especially the MBK parish OMK organization, Probolinggo in participating in church activities. The author collects data from the database of parishioners (the total number of young people), answers to questions on google forms, and the author's experience when he was one of the supervisors of OMK, Probolinggo. All the data collected were then analyzed using a qualitative-descriptive method. The author will show the results of the research based on the data that has been obtained through the MBK parish, various answers from young members of OMK, and the author's own observations. Through these data, it was found that there were gaps within the organization itself, and the time mismatch of existing activities with their respective statuses and activities. Not yet compact, lack of enthusiasm, and the activeness of OMK members is what then makes many young people in MBK parish not interested in becoming OMK members. Based on the formulation of the existing problems and the findings, it can be concluded that good, in-depth, and sustainable catechesis is very influential for young people to create cohesiveness in the OMK organization, so that they respect each other, relate closely, and are full of brotherhood with one another.

Abstract

The changing context of the Christian life brings Christian life at a crossroads, the first whether to remain in a comfort zone or the second whether to enter into the realm of profane daily life. The urge to get out of selfness and deal with the public world makes the Church deal with questions about its own identity. In this article, I want to explore the question of incarnation in Johan Baptist Metz's secularity. However, the concept of incarnation is applied solely to Jesus Christ as the Divine Word became flesh. Ricoeurian hermeneutics could help explain the term secularity on incarnation to immediate. And corporeal suffering of the others. The turn to Ricoeur as a methodological resource for theology provides a philosophical account of the methodology behind critical theology. The article concludes that the human being in their relationship its suffering experience is an experience of encounter.

Abstract

The development and advancement of technology brings changes to the patterns and lifestyles of Young Catholics (OMK). This fact raises a great concern in this article, that most OMK are currently very busy with their work, study assignments, and social media, so that involvement in the activities of the parish becomes less effective and less targeted. The main issue in this article is to get a clear picture of how OMK is involved in the activities of the raid. This article wants to know the extent to which OMK is involved and involved in the pastoral work of the Church in the parishes of the Diocese of Ketapang. This article is qualitative research with descriptive analytical writing methods. The population used was Young Catholics in a number of parishes in the Diocese of Ketapang with a sample number of fifty-two active OMK. Instrument uses semistructured interviews to 12 OMK through WhatsApp social media. As a method of data collection, the authors disseminated questionnaires online to 40 OMK. The results showed that the involvement of OMK Keuskupan Ketapang in the activities of the church needs to be improved. Coaching to omk from the parish also needs to be designed and planned well. This study recommends the need for recollection, supply, retreat or similar activities that can grow and cultivate the faith of OMK. OMK is expected to be increasingly aware of self-identity as a young Catholic in the midst of the development of the times.

Abstract

AbstrakManusia adalah makhluk sosial. Menyadari hakikat ini, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh teknologi di tengah pandemi bagi hakikat manusia yang sosialitas dalam perspektif Armadad Riyanto. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini ialah pembacaan kritis. Melihat perkembangan virus corona di Indonesia semakin meningkat, segala kegiatan pun terhambat termasuk proses pendidikan yang kini menuntut penggunaan terknologi, sehingga kebutuhan akan teknologi semakin meningkat. Pengaruh dari teknologi pun akan sangat terasa, terlebih khusus di kalangan masyrakat yang sebelumnya jarang atau bahkan belum mengenal teknologi. Dampak dari penggunaan teknologi sangat bersentuhan langsung dengan hakikat manusia yang sosialitas. Sosialitas dalam pandangan Armada Riyanto ialah menjadi sesama bagi sesama yang terungkap nyata dalam kehidupan konkret atau dengan kata lain sosialitas manusia ada dalam kesehariannya. Pandangan ini mengungkapkan kejelasasn mengenai hakikat manusia yang mestinya sosialitas. Pengaruh teknologi terhadap hakikat manusia yang sosialitas ini pun terlihat sangat jelas. Ada pengaruh yang baik dan ada pula pengaruh yang kurang baik bagi hakikat manusia yang memiliki sifat soaialitas.

Abstract

Abstract. This paper focused on elaborating the theology of hope in the midst of pandemic according to Jürgen Moltmann. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, peoples experience despair, disappointment and anxiety. There are so many things in the midst of a pandemic that cannot be solved by human ability. Peoples have to be subdued to the suffering of Covid-19. In exploring human suffering in the midst of a pandemic, hope is the key to overcome this unprecedented epidemic. In analyzing this issue, the author made use of Jürgen Moltmann's theology of hope. This study was conducted by the phenomenological method, which examines the experience of the two health workers during the Covid-19 period. Through this study, it caould be understood that the theology of hope had contribution in a pandemic situation, through the resurrection of Christ who was crucified, which means the Church as a Church that is present for the world. From there the Christian cannot escape solidarity with all people and with the "God of hope."Abstrak. Fokus utama tulisan ini adalah mengurai teologi pengharapan di tengah pandemi menurut Jürgen Moltmann. Di tengah pandemi Covid-19, manusia mengalami keputusasaan, kekecewaan dan kecemasan. Begitu banyak hal di tengah pandemi yang tidak bisa diselesaikan oleh kemampuan manusia. Manusia harus tunduk pada penderitaan Covid-19. Dalam menyelami penderitaan manusia di tengah pandemi, harapan adalah kunci melewati wabah yang tak berpreseden ini. Dalam menganalisis persoalan ini, penulis menggunakan kajian teori teologi pengharapan Jürgen Moltmann. Studi ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi, yaitu menelaah pengalaman kesaksian dari dua petugas kesehatan selama masa Covid-19. Melalui  studi ini dapat dipahami bahwa teologi pengharapan memberi sumbangan dalam situasi pandemi, melalui kebangkitan Kristus yang disalibkan, yang di dalamnya memiliki makna Gereja sebagai Gereja yang hadir bagi dunia. Dari situ orang Kristen tidak dapat terlepas dari solidaritas dengan semua orang maupun dengan “Tuhan pengharapan.”

Abstract

Abstract. This study discussed pastoral activities during the Covid-19 pandemic through WhatsApp group as pastoral space. It investigated group-based communication in WhatsApp based on a survey toward the Catholic Family Ministry in the Diocese of Malang. The result was that the conversations in the WhatsApp group in form of reflections, shared links, inspiration, prayers, and information showed that the ecclesiastical community has the courage to be present and involved in human life today. Conversations in WhatsApp groups taught and shared Christian values that opposed to individualism, consumerism, and hedonism, as well as to be a space to proclaim the values of Christian life, namely: love, care, fellowship, justice, peace, solidarity, sharing and living hopefully to God the source of life.Abstrak. Penelitian ini mendiskusikan aktivitas pastoral selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang menggunakan WhatsApp group sebagai ruang pastoral. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Studi ini mensurvey percakapan yang terjadi di Whatsapp group komunitas Catholic Family Ministry Keuskupan Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa percakapan dalam WhatsApp group berupa renungan, share link, inspirasi, doa, dan informasi menunjukkan bahwa komunitas gerejawi berani hadir dan terlibat dalam hidup manusia pada masa kini. Percakapan dalam WhatsApp group menampilkan nilai Kristiani yang melawan individualisme, konsumerisme dan hedonism di ruang digital, dan sebaliknya, menjadi ruang menyuarakan nilai-nilai kehidupan Kristiani, yaitu: cinta kasih, perhatian, persekutuan, keadilan, perdamaian, solidaritas, berbagi serta hidup penuh pengharapan kepada Allah Sang Sumber Hidup.

Abstract

Abstract. This research focused on the meaning and significance of compassion in human life. In daily life compassion is often understood as being sympatic to the sufferings of the other. More or less described as a sentiment feeling. Yet compassion is more than sentimental attitudes and feelings. This research was conducted using Henri J. M. Nouwen thoughts on God's compassion. Through this research, it was understood that compassion means sharing deeply with the suffering of others, namely: crying with those who shed tears, being vulnerable with those who are fragile and laughing with those who laugh. However, this cannot be done individually as individuals but in togetherness as a community. In this community of love, our hearts and ears are more sensitive to suffering.Abstrak. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada arti dan makna belas kasih dalam hidup manusia. Dalam hidup sehari-hari belas kasih sering dimengerti sebagai bersikap ramah terhadap penderitaan dunia. Kurang lebih digambarkan sebagai perasaan belas kasihan. Padahal belas kasih lebih dari sikap dan perasaan sentimental. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pemikiran Henri J. M. Nouwen Belas tentang belas kasih Allah. Melalui penelitian ini diperoleh makna bahwa belas kasih lebih berarti compassion, ikut merasakan secara mendalam dengan penderitaan sesama, yakni: menangis bersama mereka yang mencucurkan air mata, ringkih bersama mereka yang ringkih dan tertawa mereka yang tertawa. Namun hal tersebut tidak dapat dilakukan secara sendiri-sendiri sebagai individu-individu tetapi dalam kebersamaan sebagai komunitas. Dalam komunitas kasih ini, hati dan telinga kita lebih peka dengan penderitaan.

Abstract

Awal tahun 2020 menjadi awal kepanikan masal bagi masyarakat dunia. Sebab, dunia dikejutkan dengan kemunculan sebuah virus yang dengan cepatnya menginfeksi manusia di beberapa Negara di dunia. Virus ini yang kemudian dikenal covid-19. Virus ini oleh WHO (world Health Organisation) dinyatakan sebagai pandemic. Indonesia sendiri dinyatakan darurat covid-19 pada 29 Februari 2020. Sehingga pemerintah pun langsung menghimbau masyarakat Indonesia untuk berhati-hati dan menjaga kesehatan dengan memaklumatkan protocol kesehatan. Kendati demikian, covid-19 terus menginfeksi masyarakat Indonesia dan terus mengalami peningkatan di setiap harinya. Kebijakan lain seperti social distance hingga pembatasan sosial berskala besar (PSBB) pun diterapkan dengan harapan agar kasus pandemic covid-19 dapat berakhir. Akan tetapi, kebijakan tersebut ternyata membawa dampak lain bagi masyarakat Indonesia, yakni perubahan sosial. Perubahan sosial itulah yang menjadi fokus tulisan ini. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis data yang diperoleh dari sumber-sumber berita yang terpecaya dan dari hasil questioner yang telah diperoleh, penulis ingin mengulas fakta mengenai fonomena  perubahan sosial yang terjadi Indonesia saat ini. Perubahan sosial adalah suatu perubahan pola perilaku individu dalam lingkungan masyarakat yang terjadi pada waktu tertentu dan dipengaruhi oleh situasi tertentu. Dalam konteks masyarakat Indonesia, perubahan sosial lebih mengarah pada perubahan relasi.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to explore the richness of symbolic meanings in Gareng figures for the Millennial community. Gareng is one of the figures from the Punakawan group. Punakawan is a group of puppet characters whose role is less visible when compared to the famous Five Pandavas. Because Gareng's role is not very visible, the philosophical meanings of Gareng are somewhat "vague", especially in the Millennial era, which emphasizes individualism and wants to win alone. The method used in this paper is to observe the symbols in the Gareng character, especially from the perspective of Ernst Cassirer's symbol theory. This review has very rich meaning for the Javanese themselves, especially for the Millennial community. Through the character Gareng who is full of wisdom, he is always able to bring happiness to others. He is also believed to be a royal advisor, because of his wisdom. In a state of limbs which can be said to be "imperfect", he is always able to be a carrier of perfection through his nature, words of wisdom, and so on. Here it can be seen that the Gareng figure has a value that is so noble for community, especially the Millennial community.
