Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengembangan berbahasa inggris awal anak usia 5-6 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket tertutup. Adapun sampel berjumlah 30 anak usia 5-6 tahun di Paud Duta Raudha Center Pekanbaru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar anak mulai berkembang dalam pengembangan berbahasa inggris awal dengan jumlah persentase 31%, diikuti dengan 30% yang menunjukkan anak berkembang sesuai harapan dan 16,25% berkembang sangat baik dalam berbahasa inggris awal. Namun demikian masih terdapat anak usia 5-6 tahun berjumlah sebanyak 22,75% yang belum berkembang dalam berbahasa inggris awal. Sehingga pada usia 5-6 tahun anak yakni dalam masa Golden Age (masa keemasan) seharusnya mendapatkan stimulasi yang tepat untuk pengembangan berbahasa inggris awal sehingga dapat dioptimalkan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether bullying behavior influences children's self-esteem aged 5-6 years in Mutiara Cendekia Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. This research is quantitative using the simple linear regression formula. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The results showed that bullying behavior is significantly related to the children's self-esteem. It also indicated that children aged 5-6 years who play online games have high self-esteem. While the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other factors not examined. These findings should be a concern to parents and teachers to control the use of online games for children.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide training on the use of economic value waste to librarians and youth of Siak Sakti village, Siak. This is a continuation of the previous program that has been running, namely screen printing training to provide an alternative source of income for the youth of Sialang Sakti village who have several limitations so that they cannot continue their education to college due to economic factors. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to maximize the potential of the area, for example the village library. Sialang Sakti Village already has a Bina Ilmu village library which has been trusted as an inclusive library so that it has the opportunity to empower the community around the village. The target of this activity is to provide skills for librarians to process waste to add to the aesthetics of the library space and advanced screen printing training to the youth of Sialang Sakti village. The output produced is that librarians are able to process various wastes to improve the aesthetic appearance of the library space and the skills of youth to create a creative economy that is being developed by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. This activity is a collaboration between a team of service lecturers who have expertise in the use of waste-based learning media and experts in screen printing.
