Abstract

Childbirth is the process in which the baby, placenta, and amniotic sac exit the mother's uterus. One of the causes of childbirth is the presence of uterine contractions that produce pain and are very distressing for the delivering mother. Unaddressed pain can affect the mother's health, impacting both the fetus and the childbirth process itself. Various interventions are often provided to laboring mothers to reduce childbirth pain, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological. This case study illustrates the application of effleurage massage on Mrs. A, 25 years old, G2P1A0 in the active phase of the first stage of labor. Effleurage massage induces a relaxation effect, assisting the mother in adapting to the pain and expediting the childbirth process. Healthcare professionals should implement non-pharmacological methods to address childbirth pain, ensuring a swift and safe labor process.

Abstract

Lactation management is all the efforts made to help mothers achieve success in breastfeeding their babies. This effort is carried out by the mother especially in the exclusive breastfeeding period, namely the first 0-6 months after childbirth. Based on a survey of the number of deliveries in the Kampar Kiri Hulu Health Center working area in 2022 as many as 34 deliveries, there are still lactation management problems. This study is an observational analytic quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection tools using a research questionnaire. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate using SPSS program. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal knowledge (p value 0.017) and maternal attitude (p value 0.014) towards lactation management in mothers in the working area of the Kampar Kiri Hulu Health Center. It is suggested to the Puskesmas of Kampar Kiri Hulu Health Center to continue to improve counseling to pregnant women who check their pregnancy so that when giving birth later they can carry out Lactation Management properly and correctly and for the community, especially post partum mothers, it is hoped that they will continue to improve their knowledge both about Lactation Management and about baby care so that they can care for and nurture their babies properly and optimally. Keywords: Lactation Management, Knowledge, Attitude

Abstract

Spinal anesthesia is a regional anesthetic technique that is produced by blocking the spinal nerves in the subarachnoid space with local anesthetic substances. The spinal anesthesia technique is widely used because it is a simple, effective technique, relatively safe for the nervous system, a strong level of analgesia, the patient remains conscious, sufficient muscle relaxation, less surgical wound bleeding, less risk of aspiration, and faster recovery of digestive tract function. In the intra- or post-operative stage, patients with spinal anesthesia often complain of nausea, vomiting, a feeling of heaviness in both lower extremities, and shivering which occurs due to the secondary effects of spinal analgesic drugs which produce sympathetic block, muscle relaxation, and sensory block of peripheral temperature receptors, thereby inhibiting the response. temperature compensation. The aim of this study was to determine the factors that cause shivering in intra spinal anesthesia patients at Aliya Kendari Sj Hospital. This research method is an analytical observational study with a cross sectional approach using a random sampling technique to obtain the number of caesarean section patients. The analysis used is Logistic Regression. The research results showed a significant relationship between operation time, operating room temperature, LILA. The conclusion is that the most dominant factor influencing the incidence of shivering is body temperature.
