Abstract

Cases of refusal of the corpse of Covid-19 patients have been viral and continued nowadays. Many factors caused, the most common is unclear information about COVID-19 among communities. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the stigma of refusal of the corpse of Covid-19 patients and how safe management of the corpse of Covid-19 patients in Indonesia was established. Methode in this article used simple case study literature. Source articles were selected from databases: ProQuest, ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Wiley Online. The results showed that stigmatization and discrimination didn’t only occur in the refusal of the corpse of Covid-19 patients, but the effect to other groups, such as people without symptom (nurse and doctor), people under observation, and patient under surveillance. Transparency regarding virus transmission and procedures for scavenging the remains of COVID-19 from the ward to the funeral hasn’t maximized even though guidelines have been regulated by the government. Lack of spreading information about COVID-19 still becomes the main issue that needs more concern for stopping negative impacts during this pandemic.

The inclusion criteria used include: (1) articles in English and Indonesian; (2) types of qualitative/quantitative research; and (3) articles on the level of elderly family development as a social movement. From a total of 15 articles that were deemed to meet the inclusion criteria and passed the screening process, they used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) diagram. Critical reviews were conducted following the guidelines for the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) from Cochrane. Selected articles were analyzed using RobVis' Tracking Media to obtain Risk of Bias extraction results. The results show that based on the typology of social movements based on goals and objectives. It can be concluded that BKL can be categorized as a social movement. The presence of BKL initiated by the government and supported by various academics and cadres has proven to have various benefits in increasing the activities and participation of the elderly through activities guided by the 7 dimensions of tough elderly people. In addition, the existence of BKL can help change people's perceptions of the elderly who were previously considered weak and powerless to become active and still able to participate in community activities.

Abstract

The growth of older adults population is predicted to increase rapidly in the future, especially in developing countries including Indonesia. The increasing number of older adults every year can increase their dependency on productive groups, especially in older adults who experience cognitive and motor disorders. The use of assistive tools in older adults can be one of the right methods in preventing dependence and improving the quality of life of older adults. Virtual Reality (VR) is known to be one of the assistive tools that have the potential to help and have a positive impact on older adults with cognitive and motor disorders. The search method in this article uses a simple literature review using several databases and search websites including PubMed, Google Scholar, ACM Dl digital library, and ScienceDirect. The results of the analysis of 11 selected articles stated that the use of VR can help improve cognitive function, motor function, and can reduce the risk of falling in older adults so that in the end it has a positive effect on the quality of life of older adults. Given the high costs involved in implementing VR technology, the use of this assistive tool can be one of the programs that can be used in the management of care by health workers in the future.
