Abstract

Multicultural approach in Indonesian language has become an absolute necessity over the last years. This research highlights the role of multicultural culture as a means to improve writing achievement of Indonesian Language among elementary school students. This study aims at determining the effectiveness of the multicultural approach in the writing achievement of Indonesian language among fifth grade students of islamic elementary school who are grouped based on their learning motivation. This study can be catagorized as an experimental study with 2x2 factorial design. The independent variable consists of two categories, multicultural and conventional approaches. The population was  60 fifth grade students of at two private islamic schools. The data was collected using learning achievement tests and learning motivation questionnaires, and analyzed using two-way ANOVA and sheffe test. The results showed that (1) there were a gap in learning achievement between students in the experimental group and control group students; (2) there were differences in learning achievement between students with high motivation between both groups; (3) there were differences in learning achievement between low motivated students between both groups; (4) the multicultural approaches proved to be more effective than the conventional one; and (5) there was no interaction between the approaches and the learning motivation.

Abstract

Effect of the whole language  approach on the learning achievement in indonesian language  reading comprehension of year  IV Students of Elementary Schools. This study aims to investigate effects of  whole language approach on learning achievement in indonesian language reading comprehension of groups of students based on their learning motivation. This study was an experimental study employing a 2x2 factorial design. The independent variabel had two levels, i.e.  the Whole language approach and the konvensional approach. The population comprised all 46 Year IV students of SDN Madinaturramlah. The instruments consisted of an achievement test and a learning motivation questionnaire. The data were analyzed by a amean of two way ANOVA and the Scheffee test. The results show that (1) the is no difference in learning achievement between the students in the experimental group and those in the control group, (2) there is a difference in learning achievement between students with hight motivation in the experimental group and those in the control group, (3) there is no interaction between approaches and learning motivation. Abstract

The background of this research is the low reading literacy ability of high grade students in Banjarmasin. The low reading ability is thought to have an effect on student achievement. This is indicated by the results of student learning achievement which is still low. The aims of the study were; 1) to determine the reading literacy ability; 2) to determine the level of learning achievement; and 3) to determine the effect of reading literacy ability on the learning achievement of high-class students in Banjarmasin. The research design used survey quantitative research with research samples of high-class students in Banjarmasin. Data analysis using simple linear regression test. The results showed that; 1) students' reading literacy ability was quite adequate at 67.53%; 2) student learning achievement was classified as very good at 81%; and 3) there was a significant effect of 5.4% between reading literacy ability and achievement student learning.

Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan ruhnya di dunia Pendidikan, mengembangkan kurikulum merupakan sebuah keharusan untuk semua Lembaga Pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan kurikulum prototipe terhadap sekolah dalam mengembangkan Soft Skill siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil temuan yang didapatkan peneliti yaitu kurikulum prototipe ini dianggap mampu memulihkan pembelajaran diakibatkan pandemi covid-19 dengan memberikan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan tidak tergesa-gesa. Sehingga dengan adanya kurikulum prototipe ini mampu memberikan fasilitas untuk siswa agar bisa mempelajari sesuatu sesuai dengan kemampuan dan bakat siswa.
