Abstract

This present study analyzes the transformation of lulo dance performed by Tolaki people in Konawe Regency, South East Sulawesi. From the perspective of cultural studies, the study analyses an empirical field reality related to the matter pertaining to transformation. The local culture which is transformed into the global culture has caused the lulo dance to change with its new form and meanings. There is one problem which needs to be analyzed in the present study. The problem is formulated in the form of a question, namely what ideologies which have inspired the transformation of the lulo dance performed by Tolaki people in Konawe Regency, South East Sulawesi. The study used the qualitative method and is intended to analyze the transformation of the lulo dance performed by Tolaki people using the critical, interdisciplinary and multidimensional approach of cultural studies. The data were obtained through library research, documentary study, observation, and interview. After being verified, the data were analyzed using several relevant theories; they are the theory of deconstruction, the hermeneutic theory, the theory of discourse of knowledge, and the theory of semiotics. The result of the study shows that the transformation of the lulo dance performed by Tolaki people in Konawe Regency cannot be separated from the ideologies which have inspired it. They include the religiosity ideology, the educational ideology, and the economic ideology. The contact between the global culture and local culture has caused the lulo dance to transform. The global culture indicates that a new era has come; it cannot be stemmed and avoided, meaning that many aspects in the people’s social and cultural life have transformed or changed.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the form of transformation of processing of sago (sumaku) from the Traditional to Semi-Modern Processing, and analyzing the factors that caused it to transform processing of food for Tolaki community at Anggalomoare village of Konawe Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative methods, from which the data is obtained through participatory observation, and interviews, as well as observations on research objects, then analyzed by qualitative descriptive. The results of this research showed that the transformation of sago processing (sumaku) consist of technological changes used from traditional tools to semi-modern tools, while the factors that influence transformation of processing sago (sumaku) in Tolaki community are caused by Economic, Educational and Technological factors. Modern processing has advantages including more production results, time utilization is more effective and efficient when compared to traditional methods.Keywords: Transformation, Processing of Sago (Sumaku), Tolaki community

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Fungsi Ritual Monahu Ndau’ Pada Orang Tolaki Di Desa Parauna Kecamatan Anggaberi Kabupaten Konawe. merupakan penelitian kualitatif, sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Levis Strauss dan Corbin (2003:9), bahwa model penelitian ini memiliki tiga unsur yaitu data berasal dari berbagai sumber, prosedur analisis dan interpretative digunakan untuk memperoleh temuan, laporan hasil penelitian dibuat dalam bentuk tertulis maupun lisan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa PArauna, Kecamatan Anggaberi. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Sedangkan informan dalam penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif dan interpretative yang mengacu pada empat langka yang dilakukan peneliti yaitu mengurutkan data ke dalam pola  sesuai dengan permasalahan, mengelompokan data dalam kategori yang sesuai dengan interpretasi peneliti,  sesuai dengan data, dan sejalan dengan pemahaman yang akan diperoleh, serta penilaian atas data  hingga memperoleh simpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa Monahu Nda’u memiliki fungsi sebagai sarana kerukunan hidup dan fungsi kegotongroyongan.Kata Kunci: Ritual, Monahu Nda’u, Fungsi, Orang Tolaki

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of government and society in the development of tourist villages in Masalili Village, Kontunaga District, Muna Regency. The theory used to read the data is the theory of Economic, Social and Cultural Capital (The Forms of Capital) Pierre Bourdieu (1986). The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, which is obtained through observation, interviews and documentation on matters relating to the role of government and society in the development of tourist villages in Masalili Village. The results of the research on the role of the government in the development of the Masalili tourist village in terms of economic capital are seen in the use of village funds as the main capital in the development of the Masalili peak tourist attraction. In addition, in terms of social capital, it can be seen from the cooperative relationship between the village government and the district government as well as investors such as Bank Indonesia, by providing assistance in the form of facilities and infrastructure for the development of the Masalili tourist village in the future. Meanwhile, in terms of cultural capital, the village government participates in expressing creative ideas for the development of the Masalili tourist village through the availability of spots that can increase the attractiveness of tourists to visit the tourist village. Furthermore, an analysis of the community's role in the development of the Masalili tourism village can be seen from the cultural capital and social capital which includes cooperation between communities in terms of preserving the Muna weaving which is the icon of the tourist village. Meanwhile, in terms of cultural capital provided by the community in the form of creating unique design motifs in each weaving produced and also creating new creations in the form of accessories that can be used as souvenirs for tourists. The conclusion is that the role of the government and the community is very influential in the development of the Masalili tourism village. This can be seen by the combination of capital owned by the government and the community to support the sustainable development of the Masalili tourism village.Keywords: Tourism Village, Capital, Masalili Village.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the role of the PMD Service in Empowering Traditional Institutions in Konawe Kepulauan Regency. The type of data used in this study is descriptive-qualitative research. The technique of determining informants is done by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. The results of the study show that the role of the Community and Village Empowerment Service regarding the empowerment of traditional institutions through village funds is still very limited and some of the obstacles experienced, especially during the current pandemic. The formation of customary institutions in Konawe Kegunungan has only formed 5 villages. By seeing the importance of customary institutions, the Community and Village Empowerment Service seeks to develop and facilitate the formation of customary institutions in the Konawe Islands Regency.Keywords: The Role of the Community and Village Empowerment Service, Traditional Institutions

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian adalah: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan kegiatan degalu (berkebun) pada etnik Muna di Kabupaten Muna Barat; (2) untuk menganalisis nilai degalu yang terkandung pada etnik Muna di Kabupaten Muna Barat. Jenis jenelitian ini yaitu penelitain kualitatif. Informan penelitian ini dengan menggunkan unsur kesengajaan (purpose sampling) yaitu tokoh masyarakat serta anggota masyarakat yang berkebun. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik pengamatan (observasi partisipasi), wawancara langsung, serta rekaman kejadian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada model analisis Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) proses kegiatan degalu (berkebun) dimulai dari: (a) defelentu gholeo metaano, (b) detambori, (c) dewei, (d) detughori, (e) desula maka detotawu, (f) ghala/katondo, (g). kasalasa, (h) detisa kahitela bhe detisa rapo-rapo, (i) dekangkiri, (j) depasele, (k) demoghuri, (l) debuna, (m) dotongka; (2) Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam degalu (berkebun) pada etnik Muna antara lain: (a) nilai religi, (b) nilai pelestarian hutan dan lingkungan, (c) nilai sosial, dan (d) nilai kesejahteraan.Kata Kunci: degalu, nilai, etnik Muna
