Abstract

I-News TV has started to include entertainment and talkshows in its programs, one of which is the Hotman Paris Show. The Hotman Paris Show program continues to be broadcast on television in several episodes which are controversial or prohibited. The impact of the figure of Hotman Paris is reflected in the motivation that creates perceptions among Law Faculty students. One of the things that went viral was the perception of new students at the University of North Sumatra, Medan, because they saw the Hotman Paris Show program as one of the reasons for entering the Faculty of Law. This study aims to find out the perceptions of students of the Faculty of Law, University of Mulawarman towards the "Hotman Paris Show" talk show program on iNews TV. The phenomenon of I-News TV which incorporates entertainment and talkshows into its program range, one of which is Hotman Paris Show I-News Tv, which originally presented news and sports programs. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method of gathering information through observation, interviews, documentation and internet searching/document research. Sources of information using purposive sampling are informants who are directly related to research, namely students of the Faculty of Law, University of Mulawarman who have participated in public speaking. The results of the study show that perceptions of the "Hotman Paris Show" Talk Show Program on iNews TV are quite diverse, the selection perception that the Hotman Paris Show program has appeal because the hosts are lawyers. the perception of the organization where the informant felt that the "Hotman Paris Show" program was considered to be lacking in discussing and studying legal issues. Perception of interpretation where informants can judge that the "Hotman Paris Show" Talk Show Program still needs to be reviewed for the concept of the program which is addressed to whom the program is targeted at. The results of the study are in accordance with Lasswell's definition that communication delivered to the communicant from the communicator through certain channels either directly/indirectly aims to have an impact/effect on the communicant according to what the communicator wants. The indicators of student perceptions in this study are perceptions of selection, perceptions of organization and perceptions of interpretation.

Abstract

The development of the civilization of the times, the increase in technology and the internet in the world of life has also expanded by showing its existence not only in the real world but also in the virtual world. This has led to various efforts made as a form of channeling people's existence in actualizing themselves on various platforms on social media, one of which is Instagram. Social media users are then managed with different purposes so that a phenomenon that still occurs today is Finstagram or the management of two Instagram accounts by a user with the aim of managing the image and impression on the general public on the main account, and showing freedom of expression without being burdened by the image on the second accountbased on the concept of dramathurgy theory. The purpose of this research is to find out the motivation and factors of finstagram so that it can be a channel for freedom of expression. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews to be analyzed using cyber media analysis techniques with micro and macro levels based on virtual ethnographic analysis studies. The results of the study found that informants in utilizing the finstagram phenomenon to maintain the image and impression they manage but still channel their free expression without being burdened by the image they manage on the main account by managing two accounts with significant goals, and based on the experience of researchers as ethnographers, finstagram has functionality, namely interpretation, linkage, transmission of value, entertainment, information, and manipulate to persuade. They are with efforts and efforts to maintain their existence through various ways in the real world and the virtual world.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe how the communication strategy of stunting prevention efforts by Palaran Health Center. The formulation of communication strategies uses Onong Uchjana Effendy’s research focus and Campaign Communication Theory. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to explain in detail and in depth. The results of the research conducted by researchers can be concluded that the communication strategy for preventing stunting by the Palaran Health Center is to recognize the target being of communication directly based on data obtained from the posyandu with the target being productive women and adolescents. Indirectly based on followers who are friends and have followed the social media belonging to the Palaran Health Center. Selection of communication media directly by socializing to schools and communities, while indirectly using social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Website and print media such as Leaflets, Banners and Posters. Assessment of the purpose of communication messages based on vision and mission. The role of communicators in communication based on criteria including doctors, nutritionists, health promotion, midwives and nurses.
