Abstract

Tobacco as one of the plantation crop commodities can contribute to state income, but on the other hand there are many things that become obstacles for farmers in increasing production and business income, there is no government support in controlling tobacco marketing patterns, there is no cooperative relationship between farmers and tobacco companies that mutual benefits, as well as some problems in tobacco farmer institutions. Research purposes To find out the current condition of East Java tobacco farmers, model for the tobacco area based on farmers' corporations in East Java and program in realizing a model for developing tobacco plantation areas based on smallholder corporations in East Java. The research objectives are: (1) to determine the current condition of tobacco farmers in East Java, (2) to develop an institutional model for tobacco plantations based on farmers' corporations, and (3) to develop programs to realize a model for developing tobacco plantation areas based on farmers' corporations. The data analysis method used in this study is trend analysis, description analysis. Research Results: Program implementation requires coordination and cooperation of various parties related to tobacco. Furthermore, at each stage of implementation, it is necessary to carry out periodic evaluations to find out the shortcomings so that adjustments and improvements can be made at the next stage and it is necessary to follow the rules that have been agreed upon in the memorandum of agreement.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify the behavior of local communities in the use of mangrove forests, (2) analyze the factors that influence the utilization of mangrove forests, and (3) develop strategies for optimizing the use of mangrove forests in the context of empowering coastal communities and preserving the environment. The research location was determined purposively, namely in Ujung Pangkah District, Gresik Regency as one of the areas designated as Essential Ecosystem Areas (KEE). The analytical method used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that (1) the characteristics of the damage to mangrove forests in the area were changes in the function of the area due to the conversion of community functions into cultivation areas, (2) the factors that influenced the success of mangrove conservation as KEE, namely: (a) socio-economic conditions and the culture of the community is the same, namely the level of education and income of the community is relatively low, (b) the function of community institutions is not optimal (c) local wisdom and local resilience, (d) community perceptions of the mangrove ecosystem are less positive on sustainability, (3) strategies that can be implemented among others (a) Increasing the quantity and quality of human resources (b) socio-economic development of the community, (3) optimizing the functions of formal and non-formal institutions of society, and (4) procuring laws and regulations

Abstract

Kebutuhan pangan di wilayah perkotaan semakin meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan populasi penduduknya. Permasalahan pertumbuhan populasi di perkotaan selalu diikuti dengan pembangunan fasilitas perumahan. Pengembangan fasilitas perumahan memiliki dampak terhadap ketersedian lahan dan sumberdaya air untuk kegiatan budidaya ikan maupun pertanian. Teknologi akuaponik merupakan kombinasi teknologi akuakultur dan hiroponik dalam satu sistem untuk mengoptimalisasikan fungsi air dan ruang sebagai media pemeliharaan. Sistem akuaponik merupakan sistim yang menawarkan solusi yang berhubungan dengan pemanfaatan lahan sempit dan keterbatasan sumber daya air untuk kegiatan budidaya ikan dan tanaman. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, sistim akuaponik diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat di daerah Dahanrejo, dengan beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan diantaranya pembuatan unit akuaponik, penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat tentang teknik dan unit akuaponik ini. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ada beberapa tahapan yang perlu dilakukan diantaranya: survei lokasi, perancangan dan uji coba teknologi akuponik, penyuluhan dan pelatihan, monitoring dan survei. Dari kegiatan yang dilakukan, 20 orang peserta yang terdiri dari tokoh masyarakat dan anggota penggerak PKK memperoleh pelatihan tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan untuk budidaya ikan air tawar dan budidaya tanaman dengan menggunakan teknologi akuaponik. Selain itu juga, satu buah unit akuaponik diserahkan kepada pihak kelurahan sebagai model untuk masyarakat yang ada.

Abstract

Kabupaten Gresik terletak di Propinsi Jawa Timur yang merupakan daerah kawasan industri utama dengan jumlah penduduk yang meningkat setiap tahunnya. Hal ini mengakibatkan kebutuhan akan konsumsi juga meningkat khususnya minyak goreng. Minyak goreng yang sudah digunakan berkali-kali (minyak jelantah) akan dapat mengganggu kesehatan karena sifat karsinogenik yang dikandung minyak jelantah tersebut dan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi limbah minyak jelantah dimasyarakat adalah dengan menjadikannya bahan baku sabun batang transparan. Pelatihan pembuatan sabun transparan ini diwakili oleh 4 sekolah SMK di Gresik. Kegiatan ini mendapatkan respon positif dari peserta yang dibuktikan dengan hasil kuesioner dimana 71,43% peserta menyatakan sangat puas dengan kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan dan 78,57% sesuai dengan harapan peserta.

Abstract

Tanjung Binga is the largest salted fish producing area in Belitung Regency. The abundance of fish production in this area allows fishermen to produce various types of processed fish to extend the shelf life of their catch, especially for products exported outside the island. One of the mainstay processed products of fishermen is salted fish. However, currently the problem in processing salted fish occurs in the drying process which is still carried out in open spaces with traditional drying methods using sunlight. So that during the rainy season, the drying process can be hampered, which will affect the quality of the salted fish products produced. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the feasibility of processing salted fish using a portable solar cell dryer. The methodology used is to evaluate the financial feasibility and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the salted fish product had the eligibility criteria with a PBP value of 0.48 years; NPV of Rp 3,268,039,778; B/C ratio of 1.37; and an IRR of 208.3% under normal conditions. In scenario 1, this effort is still considered in the feasible criteria. In scenario 2 (raw materials increase, total production decreases, interest rates increase), then the business is no longer feasible. Thus the salted fish processing business using a drying machine which is intended for fishermen and salted fish business actors deserves to be continued.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the internal and external factors that influence the development of the Pit-Stop Coffee business and formulate an appropriate business development strategy. Pit-Stop Kopi is one of the big coffee brands in Gresik City which has been operating since 2017 and has three branches. This research technique uses SWOT analysis. The research results show that there are 4 strength factors and 4 weakness factors in the internal factors owned by Pit-Stop Coffee, and there are 4 opportunities and 3 threats contained in the external factors owned by Pit-Stop Coffee. The right strategy for developing this business is to use an aggressive strategy, with several alternatives, namely maintaining product quality, maximizing sales through online food ordering applications, and creating social events to attract new customers. It is hoped that this strategy can increase the competitiveness and sustainability of the Pit-Stop Coffee business in the face of intense competition.

Abstract

This research aims to identify possible risks that arise related to human resource management and determine the level of impact of these risks on the Coffee Pit-Stop. Apart from that, this research is also intended to come up with suggestions for actions or efforts that can be made to minimize the risks that occur. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive data presentation and referring to the ISO 31000 standard guidelines. The research results identified five main risks, namely shortage of human resources, unclear responsibility and authority, low employee loyalty, inability to monitor employee performance, and a decline human resource competency. The main risk that must be addressed first is low employee loyalty by creating a positive and supportive work environment and offering career development opportunities. Other proposed actions include providing ongoing training and development programs, carrying out appropriate human resource planning, building effective communication between management and employees, and evaluating and reorganizing the organizational structure if necessary.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of consumer preferences on interest in purchasing coffee beverage products at Pit Stop Kopi KIG. Consumer preferences studied include price, menu variations, location and product attributes. This research uses quantitative methods using multiple linear regression analysis. Data was obtained from 120 respondents who were Pit Stop Coffee consumers. The research results show that simultaneously, consumer preferences consisting of price, menu variations, location and product attributes have a significant effect on interest in buying coffee drinks. Partially, menu variations and product attributes have a significant effect on purchase intention, while price and location do not have a significant effect. The conclusion of this research is that Pit Stop Kopi needs to increase menu variations and maintain and improve product attributes to attract consumer buying interest. Future research can explore other factors that influence consumer purchasing interest and expand the scope of the sample to obtain more comprehensive results.
