Abstract

Tanjung Binga is the largest salted fish producing area in Belitung Regency. The abundance of fish production in this area allows fishermen to produce various types of processed fish to extend the shelf life of their catch, especially for products exported outside the island. One of the mainstay processed products of fishermen is salted fish. However, currently the problem in processing salted fish occurs in the drying process which is still carried out in open spaces with traditional drying methods using sunlight. So that during the rainy season, the drying process can be hampered, which will affect the quality of the salted fish products produced. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the feasibility of processing salted fish using a portable solar cell dryer. The methodology used is to evaluate the financial feasibility and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the salted fish product had the eligibility criteria with a PBP value of 0.48 years; NPV of Rp 3,268,039,778; B/C ratio of 1.37; and an IRR of 208.3% under normal conditions. In scenario 1, this effort is still considered in the feasible criteria. In scenario 2 (raw materials increase, total production decreases, interest rates increase), then the business is no longer feasible. Thus the salted fish processing business using a drying machine which is intended for fishermen and salted fish business actors deserves to be continued.

Abstract

Pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai stunting dan cara pencegahannya menjadi modal utama untuk mengantisipasi peluang terjadinya masalah tersebut. Diversifikasi pangan dari berbagai produk pertanian dapat diaplikasikan kedalam olahan makanan untuk anak dan balita, sehingga orang tua memiliki peran penting dalam sajian makanan sehat dan bergizi. Kurangnya pengetahuan tentang olahan makanan yang sehat dan bergizi membuat orang tua hanya menyediakan makanan tanpa melihat status gizi dari makanan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) adalah meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait pencegahan stunting dan meningkatkan status gizi anak melalui diversifikasi olahan pangan sehat dan tinggi protein. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan demo langsung terhadap produk olahan. Kegiatan dimulai dengan memberikan penyuluhan mengenai masalah stunting dan pencegahannya, pengenalan ragam dan variasi bahan lokal yang baik dan bernilai gizi serta melakukan demo, mulai dari penanganan bahan baku, cara mengolah bahan, proses pencampuran bahan, proses pengolahan hingga cara pengemasan dan penyimpanan. Data menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 21,75% peserta menyatakan sudah pernah memperoleh penyuluhan tentang stunting dan 67,25% menyatakan belum pernah sama sekali. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan respon seluruh peserta (100%) belum pernah melakukan pengolahan nugget ikan, dan mereka merasa puas serta mendapatkan manfaat dari kegiatan PkM,

Abstract

Indonesia is known as an agricultural country, making the agricultural sector very important with the commodity most widely cultivated by the public being rice. Karangsemanding Village is a village that has extensive agricultural land but has a small productivity value compared to other villages. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the production of lowland rice farming and determine the efficiency of lowland rice farming in Menganti Hamlet. The research was conducted in Menganti Hamlet in June-September 2023. Data collection was carried out through interviews and questionnaires as well as secondary data obtained. The sampling technique was saturated sampling which involved all members of the population sampled as many as 86 farmers. Data were analyzed descriptively and in multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software. The research results show that production factors in the form of land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticides and labor simultaneously influence rice production, while partially the variables of land area, pesticides and labor have a significant influence on production. The results of the technical efficiency analysis show a value of 0.8894 which is said to be efficient in the use of production factors because it is close to 1. Judging from the price efficiency (allocative) of lowland rice farming, it shows a value of 0.0416, this shows that lowland rice farming in Menganti Hamlet is not yet efficient economically. price. Meanwhile, the economic efficiency of lowland rice farming shows a value of 0.0370, which means lowland rice farming is economically inefficient..
