Abstract

Environmentally friendly lubricants are lubricants that are easily dissolved in the environment and are not harmful to the ecosystem. It uses to reduce the heat in the contact area so that the machinability of the workpiece and the ability of the chisel will increase. To minimize the use of bio-cutting fluids, lubrication is carried out by minimum drop lubrication in the lathe process. The purpose of this research is to comply with the surface roughness of the workpiece and the shape of the chip. The material used is aluminum 6061, the natural oil used are rubber seed oil, virgin coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, and castor oil. The turning parameters were the depth of cut 0.5 mm, spindle speed of 330 rpm, feed rate 0.231 mm/rev, tool angle 90o, drop lubrication 192 ml/hour, infeed length 100 mm. The results of the research showed that virgin coconut oil has the lowest surface roughness. This is because the viscosity value of virgin coconut oil is very small so that the flow rate is able to work perfectly to lubricate the contact area. It has a thin chip configuration, the tool also wears but did not experience cracks.

Abstract

The methods of joining engineering materials using adhesives is mostly implemented by using synthetic adhesives from non-renewable sources. Even though it has good joining performance, its poisonous nature and difficult to decompose naturally makes the adhesive needs to seek alternatives that are more environmentally friendly. Another reason is to support FAO campaigns for the use of environmentally friendly and biodegradable materials. One that has the potential to replace synthetic one is adhesives from natural sources such as gum rubber, jackfruit, and breadfruit. Because each natural sap has a different composition, the adhesive strength will also be different. Therefore it is necessary to examine the adhesive strength of each of these natural gums. In this research, natural adhesives (gums) and synthetic adhesives were used to joint pine wood as a test specimen. After joining, peeling and shearing tests on the specimens were carried out so that the mechanical strength of the joints for each adhesive variation was recognized. Fracture analysis was then performed to analyze the mechanism of joint failure for each adhesive variation. From this research, the highest peeling strength was obtained from rubber tree sap of 0.15 MPa, while the highest shearing strength was also obtained for rubber sap of 0.68 MPa.

Abstract

The cyclic structure of ADTC5 (Ac-CDTPPVC-NH2) peptide is known has ability to modulate homo dimer E-cadherin interactions to form adherens junction at the intercellular junction.  The ability to inhibit E-cadherin interaction has become important to increase paracellular porosity in delivering drug molecules to the target cell. There are two types of ADTC5 state: opened-cyclic state (OCS) and closed-cyclic state (CCS). OCS of ADTC5 is affected by distance constraint and CCS is formed by disulfide bond from terminal cysteines through force restraint. The aim of this research is to investigate the inhibition activity of ADTC5 peptide upon E-cadherin. Here we used molecular docking and molecular dynamics approaches. The structure of ADTC5 peptide was generated by PyMOL program. GROMACS v4.5.5 was utilized to simulate molecular dynamics. The optimized ADTC5 molecule was placed in aqueous or polar condition at physiological pH. Furthermore, ADTC5 was docked with EC1-EC2 coupled domain of E-cadherin using AutoDock 4.2 and be refined using molecular dynamic (MD). The result showed that CCS ADTC5 peptide has stronger affinity and more stable interaction with EC1-EC2 coupled domain than the OCS one.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji Pengaruh Peran Konsultasi Account Representative dan Pengawasan Account Representative Terhadap Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak (Studi Pada Wajib Pajak Kpp Singkawang). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Wajib Pajak yang memiliki UMKM yang terdaftar pada KPP Singkawang. Pemilihan sampel ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 69 responden. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dan analisis regresi dengan bantuan software SPSS 25. Abstract

Purpose: The IT Blueprint is used as a guideline in achieving organizational goals, such as the built and development of information technology (IT) infrastructure. STMIK Amik Riau is one of the universities vision to become an excellent university in Sumatra by 2030. To achieve this vision, it is necessary to develop various units, one of which is the built and development of IT in student services. To build IT for student services, an enterprise architecture is needed so that the development is more focused. Study design: In this study, TOGAF became the framework used to design, plan, implement, and manage the company's organizational architecture. TOGAF has 8 phases, but this research takes 6 phases: Architecture Vision, Business Architecture, Information System Architectures, Technology Architecture, Opportunities and Solutions, and Migration Planning. Result: The results obtained in this study are the creation of IT blueprints for student business processes. There are several updates in each process, especially in the information system architecture, then in business processes and technology. There are also updates that need to be done. This study also provides several reasons for updating the Opportunity and Solutions. Other than that, this research guides to apply the updates based on priorities that must be applied to migration planning. Novelty: In the information system architecture, 18 applications become service systems for students. After analyzing it into 31 applications, they will later be used to support good services for students.

Abstract

Substrates Preparation from Woody Tropical Waste Biomass for Biohydrogen Production. Addressing to the global warming problem, energy crisis and pollution, hydrogen production by micro-organisms using biotechnological approach should be considered, since it fulfils the recent society requirement to safely produce, renewable and environmental friendly energy. Hydrogen is one of the most promising green energy sources, because it is easily converted to electricity and cleanly combustible. There are three types of micro-organisms for hydrogen production, the first is cyanobacteria through the photosynthesis process, the second is anaerobic bacteria, which use organic substances as electron donor and energy and convert them to hydrogen, the third is photosynthetic bacteria, somewhat between photosynthetic and anaerobic bacteria, which are capable of converting the organic substances to hydrogen at a fairly high rate. We propose to use the abundant waste biomasses in Indonesia for hydrogen production by the microbial system. Our focus research is the production of hydrogen from waste biomasses by two-stage fermentation systems, which combine the conversion process of monomer biomasses to lactic acid by Lactobacillus sp. and the conversion process of lactic acid to hydrogen by photosynthetic bacteria. In this research, two kind substrates preparation were apply for woody waste biomass such as chemical hydrolysis and biological methods with several treatments. The results of the substrate preparation state showed that hydrolyses process of biomasses using strong acid are yielded total sugar about 70-90% of previous original content. Moreover, hydrolyses process using weak/diluted acid are yielded total sugar about 4-30% of original sugar. Furthermore, the biological treatments of degradation of woody waste biomasses are yielded total sugar about 0-10% (by single culture) and 10-50% (by consortium). Those hydrolysates substrates will use for fermentation two stages of lactate fermentation and conversion by photosynthetic bacteria in order to produce hydrogen gas.
