Abstract

The use of additives and addictive substances in various foods, drinks, and other consumer products is increasing along with the times. This PkM activity aims to provide students with an understanding of additives and addictive substances and the side effects they cause through educational activities assisted by animation media. This activity was held at SDN 2 Labalawa and attended by 28 class V students, consisting of 16 male students and 12 female students. The results of the PkM activities showed that 22 students (79%) had a good understanding of the material presented, 4 students (14%) were in the sufficient category, and 2 students (7%) were in the poor category. These results show that the majority of participants have a good understanding of additives and addictive substances and the side effects they cause. Education regarding additives and addictive substances is essential, given the increasing variety of products offered by companies, so that consumers can sort and choose well the goods they will consume. Overall, PkM activities were doing well in accordance with the stated objectives

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the biology learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing 15 articles on biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results show that online biology learning is less effective and there is also successfully implemented. The implementation of online biology learning requires the use of digital technology-based media, some of the media used include WhatsApp application, Google Meet, Zoom, Campus Management Services (LMS), and virtual labs. The implementation of online learning also faces various obstacles, including limited contingents, networks, and supporting devices such as mobile phones, so evaluations must always be carried out for the learning implementation to take place in the best possible way.

Abstract

This study aims to know the influence of the guided inquiry model on the concept understanding of ecosystem material for class X students of SMAN 10 Kendari. kind of this research is quasi-experiment research with the research design being the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The research sample amounted to 52 students who were divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental class group and the control class group. The research instrument used was an objective test in the form of multiple choice (Multiple Choice Item Test). The results of the descriptive analysis show that there is an increase in the value of understanding the concepts taught by the guided inquiry model and direct learning. The increase in the value of understanding the concepts of students who are taught using the guided inquiry model is 32.24 and indirect learning is 27.77. The results of the inferential analysis show that the significance value obtained is 0.014 which is smaller than the alpha value equal to 0.05 so it can be concluded that the application of the guided inquiry model has a positive and significant impact on students' understanding of the concept of ecosystem material.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 menjadi sistem pendidikan harus mampu mengikuti tuntutan perkembangan zaman yang menekankan pada kemampuan siswa untuk belajar dari berbagai sumber, merumuskan masalah, berpikir analitis, dan bekerja sama dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu implementasi pendidikan abad 21 pada proses pembelajaran ialah peningkatan kemampuan literasi Sains. Tujuan PKM ini ialah untuk peningkatan ketrampilan Sains sisw melalui penggunaan media Pop Up Book. Metode yang digunakan ialah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini diikuti oleh guru dan siswa SDN 111 Buton. Kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakasanakan 1 hari. Kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan bahwa orang guru yang mampu implementasi penggunaan media Pop Up Book untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi Sains siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 71%, atau kategori baik dan yang belum mampu mengimplemnetasi penggunaan media Pop Up Book dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi Sains siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 29% atau katergori kurang.
