Abstract

Islamic religious values have a big influence on the social life of the Bugis-Makassar and Makassar communities in South Sulawesi. Apart from that, this research also shows that in the history of South Sulawesi there have been political and social changes that have influenced the lives of the Bugis-Makassar tribe, but interpersonal ties and the process of cultural acculturation still play an important role. people's lives. The Makassar Bugis Tribe in South Sulawesi and its History, Culture, Traditions and Rituals. This research also explains the importance of educating children, as well as the religious and social values contained in the Massafa' tradition. Apart from that, this research also discusses traditional cakes from the Bugis and Makassar tribes, as well as the philosophical values associated with these cakes.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Correlation Between Puyang and Community in the Dusun Almsgiving Tradition in Cambai Village, Prabumulih City" relating to the bond of puyang as an identity that originates from the community. Puyang is believed to be the founding ancestor and shaper of a civilization for the lives of the people of South Sumatra in ancient times. The figure of the puyang continues to be believed in by society's primitive beliefs, namely animism as a belief in the spirits of ancestors which has become a tradition passed down from generation to generation in everyday life. The main issues in this research are: [1] What are the oral traditions that developed in the Cambai Village community regarding their origins? [2] What is the process of implementing the village alms tradition in Cambai Village? [3] What is the relationship between the puyang and the people of Cambai Village in carrying out the village alms tradition? This research method uses an ethnographic method, which is an approach to one of the qualitative research methods that focuses on the phenomenon of the correlation between Puyang and society in the Dusun Almsgiving Tradition in Cambai Village, Prabumulih City. The data sources used consist of: Primary data, namely direct observation in the field and conducting interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data includes books, journals, theses and articles. The data collection methods used by researchers are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this research uses analytical techniques, namely data collection, interpretation and writing of results which are carried out simultaneously. Based on the analysis of the research results and discussion, the researcher draws the conclusion that the Dusun Almsgiving Tradition has been carried out since ancient times by our ancestors and continues to be carried out from generation to generation until now, and the relationship between the puyang and the village community is established in this tradition.

Abstract

Student management is an important aspect in improving the quality of education. This applies to all types of schools, including vocational high schools. This study aims to reveal the student management model implemented by schools and its contribution to improving the quality of education. The research method used is qualitative. The object of the research was conducted at Palembang 2 State Vocational High School. Informants in this study were vice principals for student affairs, curriculum, quality management, student organization coaches, heads of counseling, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. Data were analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions (data triangulation). The results of the study show that the focus of student management is on student development, from being accepted to graduating. There are three models of student management that are carried out, namely: 1) Student management based on coaching 2); flexible management; and 3) Balanced achievement strategy. The characteristic of student management at this school is that student management does not intend to control student behavior, but is directed at how to increase student awareness to control their behavior by using strategies in student development namely “forced, forced, and accustomed”.

Abstract

Kurangnya perhatian orang tua menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya putus sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan dan memastikan jumlah anak putus sekolah sebagai dampak dari dismotivasi orangtua dan kesadaran anak terhadap pendidikan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian berfokus pada siswa sekolah dasar (SD) negeri dan swasta, yang putus sekolah di kota Palembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk dismotivasi orang tua terhadap pendidikan anak adalah pembiaran terhadap keputusan anak untuk berhenti sekolah yang berdampak pada putusnya pendidikan anak pada tingkat SD, Faktor penyebab putus sekolah dapat dikategorikan menjadi tiga kelompok, yaitu; faktor berasal dari anak, keluarga, dan lingkungan sosial budaya. Simpulan penelitian ini memberikan gambaran bahwa masih banyak anak yang putus sekolah di Indonesia baik pada sekolah dasar negeri dan swasta

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah memengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk bidang akademik, khususnya dalam penulisan karya ilmiah yang menuntut sitasi dan pengelolaan referensi yang akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam penggunaan aplikasi Mendeley untuk sitasi dan pengelolaan referensi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan 60 mahasiswa dan dosen di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Muara Enim. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi identifikasi masalah, penyusunan rencana pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi kolaboratif. Pelatihan melibatkan ceramah, simulasi, dan praktik langsung menggunakan Mendeley. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak mahasiswa belum familiar dengan Mendeley, dan pengelolaan referensi masih dilakukan secara manual. Setelah pelatihan, peserta menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang sitasi dan mampu mengoperasikan Mendeley dengan baik, termasuk mengimpor referensi, mengatur library, dan membuat sitasi serta daftar pustaka. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam antusiasme dan motivasi mahasiswa untuk menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang berkualitas. Keterbatasan laptop dan jaringan internet yang tidak stabil merupakan kendala yang dihadapi. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi akademik mahasiswa dalam pengelolaan referensi dan sitasi, serta diharapkan dapat berlanjut untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan akademik yang berkelanjutan.
