Abstract

School-age children, especially children of primary school age (6-12 years) are a group that is vulnerable to dental and oral diseases because it is during this period that milk teeth begin to fall out one by one and are replaced by permanent teeth, with variations in milk teeth and permanent teeth together. in the mouth, marking the period of mixed dentition in children. Elementary school-age children are the mixed dentition period, that is, the transitional period when milk teeth fall out and permanent teeth grow and are an age that is considered vulnerable to dental and oral diseases. The purpose of this research is to explain the knowledge of parents in elementary school children with persistence cases. The type of research used is a literature study. The literature study method is a series of activities related to methods of collecting library data, reading and taking notes, and managing research materials. Results and conclusions that 1. Parents' knowledge of elementary school children with persistent cases is included in the less category where the better the knowledge the lower the child will experience tooth persistence. 2. Parents' knowledge will influence children's attitudes and behavior to maintain healthy teeth and mouth. Lack of parental knowledge due to lack of education. 3. Tooth persistence in children who are not treated immediately will cause other dental problems such as malocclusion, ectopic eruption and impaction. Tooth persistence in children can be prevented if parents have more knowledge about tooth persistence.

Abstract

One factor that can influence uric acid levels is physical activity. The activities a person does are related to the level of uric acid in the blood. Physical activity such as exercise or physical movement such as housework will reduce uric acid excretion and increase lactic acid production in the body. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of physical activity on increasing uric acid levels in the blood in elderly patients at Labuang Baji Hospital, Sul-sel. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive research design using a cross sectional approach. To determine the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable using joint measurements, the population was 34 people. The sample taken for this study used a total sampling technique so that the results were 34 respondents. The data measurement tool used a questionnaire. The results of research carried out in August 2023 at Labuang Baji Regional Hospital, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between physical activity and uric acid levels in the blood in elderly patients at Labuang Baji Regional Hospital with a p value = (0.036 <0.05). Conclusion From this research, there is a relationship between physical activity and increased uric acid levels in the blood in the elderly at Labuang Baji Regional Hospital, South Sulawesi.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in households in the work area of ​​the Patalassang Community Health Center, Gowa Regency. This research aims to examine the encouraging and inhibiting factors for household PHBS implementation.Qualitative research methods using sentiment analysis research methods and assisted by data analysis software called MAXQDA were used to explore the driving and inhibiting factors in implementing PHBS through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and observations. The research results show that adequate knowledge about PHBS, social support, both from family, community health centers and the government, as well as educational programs run by community health centers are the main driving factors. On the other hand, lack of knowledge, low personal awareness, and limited facilities such as sanitation, clean water and proper toilets are significant obstacles in implementing PHBS. The conclusions of this research emphasize the importance of increasing health education, strengthening social support, providing adequate sanitation facilities, and increasing individual awareness and motivation to achieve optimal PHBS implementation. With an integrated and collaborative approach, it is hoped that the implementation of PHBS in households in the Patalassang Community Health Center working area can continue to be improved, thus contributing to improving the overall quality of community health.

Abstract

Washing your hands with soap is a sanitation action where humans clean their hands and fingers using water and soap to make them clean and break the chain of germs. This is done because hands are often agents that carry germs and cause pathogens to move from one person to another, either by direct or indirect contact. Health Education and Promotion of Hand Washing Methods Hand Washing with Soap aims to provide knowledge about how to wash hands properly and correctly using soap. The target of the counseling is students in Classes I, II and III of Tamalanrea State Elementary School 6. It is hoped that students will have the knowledge and practice as early as possible how to wash their hands correctly. This PkM method is health education and promotion of the correct way to wash hands by explaining what washing hands is, what is needed to wash hands, when to wash hands, the benefits of washing hands, and how to wash hands correctly. The results showed that after carrying out the PkM activities, the children at Tamalanrea State Primary School 6 were able to say, although not in detail, about washing their hands, what tools were used to wash their hands, and how to wash their hands correctly. The conclusion is that the outreach activities for the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior Program, especially Washing Your Hands with Soap, which were carried out for students at Tamalanrea State Elementary School 6, were quite successful because they were able to increase students' knowledge regarding Washing Your Hands with Soap before and after the Health Education and Promotion.
