Abstract

This thesis studied about archetype analysis of Perseus’ journey in Clash of the Titans 2010 film. The aim of this research was to describe archetype patterns being reflected of Perseus’ journey in Clash of the Titans 2010 film by Louis Letterier. This research applied qualitative method where the data were analyzed through Campbell’s theory about archetype. The researcher chose note taking as the instrument of the research. The researcher found that there were six archetype characters, eight symbols of archetype symbols, and three phases of situation archetype. Therefore, this research can be concluded that Clash of the Titans 2010 film showed six archetype characters where Perseus himself as hero, eight archetype symbols, and three phases of archetype situation are separation, initiation, and return. The implication of this research is to give more information, description and comprehending about archetype. Moreover, it can be a reference for the student of Adab and Humanities faculty who attracted to observe the similar research.

Abstract

Motivated by the growth of social media throughout the globe, including in Indonesia, educational practitioners need to be creative and make use of this opportunity to boost up the learning goals, for example making use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Line, and many others (social media) in educational settings. Among those social media, Instagram has increased its popularity, particularly in Indonesia, with its 22 million users. It is an online platform in which users can share their stories via uploaded photos. Recently, it is not merely used as photo story sharing but also online shopping, news updating, and video conferencing. As Instagram offers promising features, this study explored how this platform was applied to improve the students English written competence, focusing on reading and writing. This study is action research that investigates the use of Instagram as a social-and-educational medium that offers beyond new language learning experiences in the project called InstaGlish, Instagram English. The data were collected from the classroom observation during the project, students' Instagram photo posts, captions and comments, and students' reading and writing scores after project implementation.  A questionnaire and direct interview to the students were also carried out to give a more thorough and deeper understanding of the students' responses toward how effective InstaGlish helps them learn and induce their English. In addition, the findings of this current study were expected to give fruitful insight on how to use social media not merely as the fun-without-meaning activity yet fun-and-meaningful new learning experiences.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah salah satu landasan yang dibutuhkan dalam suatu bangsa dan bernegara. Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Dalam melaksanakan pendidikan di sekolah, diperlukan sebuah inovasi dalam pembelajaran untuk menunujang pengoptimalan penyampaian materi. Sehingga peneliti mengambil kesimpulan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar. Buku ajar ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi kebosanan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan, dan menganalisis respon siswa terhadap buku ajar berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk kelas XII semester 1 dwengan materi produk syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakian jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Desseminate). Subjekpenelitian yang digunakan berjumlah 20 siswa yang dipilih secara acak. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) pengembangan buku ajar dilakukan dengan bantuan aplikasi CorelDraw X7; (2) Kelayakan Materi memperoleh nilai sebesar 85,4 % dengan kriteria Sangat Kuat, Kelayakan bahasa memperoleh nilai 91,4% dengan kriteria Saangat layak, dan kelayakan grafik memperoleh nilai sebesar 88,8% dengan kriteria Sangat Kuat ; (3) Respon siswa memperoleh nilai sebesar 83,5% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan buku ajar berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi produk syariah sangat layak digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Pengaruh Lama Inkubasi Soyghurt Menggunakan Inokulan dengan Penambahan Bifidobacterium sp. terhadap Daya Hambat Bacillus cereus Ika Fitriani; Dyah Kusharyati; Pancrasia Maria Hendrati

Abstract

Bakteri asam laktat (BAL) yang digunakan dalam pembuatan soyghurt di antaranya     Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophillus, dan Bifidobacterium sp. dengan suhu optimal pertumbuhan 36°-37°C dan lama inkubasi berkisar 1-2 hari. BAL diketahui mampu menghasilkan bakteriosin yang dapat menghambat bakteri patogen dalam saluran pencernaan salah satunya ialah Bacillus cereus. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui perbandingan BAL pada soyghurt terhadap daya hambat B. cereus, mengetahui lama inkubasi soyghurt dengan penambahan Bifidobacterium sp terhadap pertumbuhan B. cereus, dan mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi BAL dan lama inkubasi pada soyghurt terhadap pertumbuhan B. cereus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbandingan BAL (L. bulgaricus : S. thermophillus : Bifidobacterium sp.) 1:1:1 (K1) pada soyghurt mampu menghambat B. cereus. Lama inkubasi soyghurt dengan penambahan Bifidobacterium sp. optimal pada 24 jam terhadap pertumbuhan B. cereus. Konsentrasi BAL dengan lama inkubasi pada soyghurt tidak mampu meningkatkan daya hambat pertumbuhan B.cereus.
