Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengaruh tradisional talempong pacik untuk mengetahui sikap disiplin, toleransi, dan kerjasama siswa di SMA Negeri 9 Kota Padang Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh nilai-nilai yang terkadung dalam falsafah (1) alua jo patuik yang berarti disiplin, (2) bajalan paliharo kaki, paliharo lidah, kato sapatah dipikia an, nan elok dek awak ka tuju dek urang yang berarti toleransi, dan (3) ka mudiak sa antak galah, ka hilia sarangkuah dayuang, sasuai lahie jo bathin, sasuai muluik jo hati yang berarti kerjasama yang terkandung dalam kebudayaan Minangkabau yang selalu diwarisi secara turun-temurun salah satunya melalui kesenian tradisional talempong pacik. Pendekatan ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen pre-test pos-test. Sampel sejumlah 30 orang siswa dari 300 populasi siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 9 Kota Padang Sumatera Barat, ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Varibel bebasnya adalah permainan musik talempong pacik sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah disiplin, toleransi, dan kerjasama. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Validitas dan realibilitas instrumen  menggunakan korelasi product moment pearson dan Alpha Cronbach’s. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang positif dan signifikan antara pre-test dan pos-test.  Kesenian tradisional talempong pacik berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan sikap disiplin, toleransi dan kerjasama siswa SMA Negeri 9 Kota Padang Sumatera Barat.Kata kunci: kesenian tradisional, talempong pacik, pendidikan, disiplin, toleransi, dan kerjasama TRADITIONAL EFFECTIVENESS TALEMPONG PACIK TO INCREASED DISCPLINE, TOLERANCE, AND COOPERATION OF STUDENTSAbstractThis research is aimed at revealing the effect of the traditional art of talempong pacik on the character of discipline, tolerance, and cooperation of the students  of SMAN Padang, Sumatera Barat. This research was based on the philosophical values of 1. alua jo patuik which refers to discipline, 2.  bajalan paliharo kaki, paliharo lidah, kato sapatah dipikia an, nan elok dek awak ka tuju dek urang which refers to tolerance, and 3. ka mudiak sa antak galah, ka hilia sarangkuah dayuang, sasuai lahie jo bathin, sasuai muluik jo hati which refers to cooperation implied in Minangkabau culture and inherited from generation to generation, one of which is through the traditional art of talempong pacik. This research was quantitative research and used the pre-test pos-test experimental design. The sample were 30 students from 300 population of students from tenth graders in SMAN 9  Padang Sumatera Barat, established by using the purposive sampling technique. The independent variable is a music game talempong pacik while the dependent variable is a discipline, tolerance, and cooperation . The validity and the reliability of the instrument were calculated by using Person product moment and Alpha Cronbach’s. While the data analysis using descriptive analysis t test. The result showed that there were differences that positive and significant correlation between pretest and posttest. Talempong art pacik affect the increased discipline, tolerance, and cooperation of students SMA 9 cities desert country western Sumatra.Keywords: traditional art, talempong pacik, education, discpline, tolerance, and  cooperation

Abstract

Idris Sardi is known as a music maestro in Indonesia. This study aims to reveal the influence of Idris Sardi on the development of music and its implications in music education. This study uses a qualitative method with a narrative approach. The data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants were carefully selected from the family, violin students, and colleagues of Idris Sardi in Jakarta and Bogor, West Java. The data were analyzed by organizing data and creating codes, describing codes in chronological categories and themes, developing interpretations, and visualizing data. The results showed that Idris Sardi was influential in developing (1) keroncong music by varying the tempo and expanding the repertoire; (2) the violin playing techniques included unique characters such as vibrato, glissando, and octave variations; (3) ethnic and popular music were made through orchestrations and collaboration with orchestral music. The implications in music vocational education were (1) problem-based learning by creating a new keroncong style to be accepted by society; (2) the improvement capability by exploring skills to play the violin; (3) life-based-learning by raising local and popular music to be qualified while enhancing the level of society’s music appreciation. In conclusion, Idris Sardi provided a strong influence on the music development in Indonesia, and the implication could be a new strategy to improve the quality of music education.

Abstract

Globalization is a reality. It is one of the consequences .ofglobalization that there has been a cultural transformation which, inturn, forms a multicultural society. Entering the global world withno cultural identity, one would only get lost among the powerfulcultures. This writingis an attempt to explain the importance of .teaching and learningthe musical ensemble as an effort, amongothers, to prepare studentsfor their entrance into the multiculturalsociety.This writing triesto describe some phenomena andconsequencesof globalization. Based on some literature, the writertries to explain someof the competencies necessary for an individualto live in the global world. Abstract

This study aimed at developing an integrated curriculum of art and culture and developing a model of evaluating art and culture learning at Junior High Schools (SMP). This study was a Research and Development study consisting of some stages, i.e. survey, designing instrument, testing the instrument, drafting the model of evaluating art and culture learning, limited and extended validation for the model, implementation, and analysis of the effectiveness of the model. This study made use the experimental method with pre-test and post-test. Data analysis was carried out using multilevel analysis. The results of the study are: 1) the development of integrated curriculum puts the emphasize more on the integration of learning material for art and culture subject rather than on the curriculum; 2) the appropriate evaluation model of learning art and culture should contain: Context, which is based on the previous competency and the school cultural environment, Learning Design, which is based on the descriptions of context and target; Implementation and Monitoring, which are carried out continuously; Product Measurement which includes the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects; Decision Making, which is based on the product, and Recommendation in the form of learning that concerns imitation, creation, or originality

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pertunjukan musik sebagai fokus pembelajaran ansambel musik terhadap prestasi hasil belajar musik khususnya aspek psikomotor dan makna hasil belajar, dibandingkan dengan proses pembelajaran ansambel musik dengan focus pembelajaran berupa teknik bermain ansambel musik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Musik FBS Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Adapun teknik pengambilan sample dengan purposive sampling, sedangkan desain penelitiannya adalah the completely randomized single factor experiment atau kovariansi acak lengkap satu faktor. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kovarian, uji-z dan uji-t. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahvva: Pertama, proses pembelajaran ansambel musik dengan fokus berupa pertunjukan musik menghasilkan prestasi hasil belajar ansambel musik aspek psikomotor lebih tinggi daripada proses pembelajaran ansambel musik dengan fokus berupa penguasaan teknik pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Kedua. baik proses pembelajaran ansambel musik dengan fokus pembelajaran berupa pertunjukan maupun penguasaan teknik bermain ansambel musik sama-sama menghasilkan hasil belajar ansambel musik yang penuh makna. Kata Kunci: pertunjukan, prestasi, ansambel

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study are to find out an effective strategy in using integrated multimedia in the learning of directing in the Music Study Program FBS UNY as well as to reveal the influence of integrated multimedia on students' learning chievement in the Directing class in 2005. The study is based on a class action research, the sample of which is the students of the Non-regular program taking Basic Directing class. The research was carried out in three cycles. The data were collected through tests, observation, and interviews. The function of the test is to know the students' achievement while that of the observation and interviews is to identify the effective strategy in using the integrated multimedia. The analysis techniques applied are t-test, continued with Dunnet test. The result shows that the use of integrated multimedia in the learning  of directing made the learning process enjoyable, attractive, and made the lessons easy to understand. Besides, the integrated multimedia could increase the students' achievement effectively. Keywords: students' achievement, directing class, integrated multimedia
