Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Extending Concept Method Through Language Activities (ECOLA) in Improving Reading Comprehension Skills for Class X Students of Enrekang 1 High School and to examine the effectiveness of student learning outcomes by using Extending Concept Method Through Language Activities (ECOLA) with conventional models in improving refined text reading skills. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with method expriment. The research variable consists of two, namely the application of the Extending Concept strategy method through Language Activities (ECOLA) as an independent variable (X) and learning to write letters as dependent variables (Y). The research design used in this study was experimental research using a quasi-experimental method with the initial test design and final test of the control group and experimental group with random samples (Therandomized pretest-posttest control grouf design. The results of this study indicate Extending Concept methods Through Language Activities ( ECOLA) is effective in improving the reading skills of text comprehension in class X students of SMA Enrekang 1 and there are differences in the effectiveness of student learning outcomes by using the Extending Concept method Through Language Activities (ECOLA) with conventional models in improving reading comprehension skills.Keywords: Extending Concept Through Language Activities, Reading Understanding.

Abstract

Development of audio-based discovery learning learning models in supporting the learning of children with special needs in listening and speaking learning as well as creating a learning environment that can encourage students with special needs to construct knowledge and skills personally. The method of implementing this activity uses the workshop method. The location for this activity is the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Makassar Islamic University. The subjects in this activity were lecturers and students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Makassar Islamic University. The implementation time of this activity is three months in 2021 or in odd semesters in the 2020-2021 school year. The implementation of this activity does not require a long time allocation because it is only a workshop. The results obtained from this workshop are, 1) developing audio-based discovery learning learning model RPS for students with disabilities, especially students with visual impairments; 2) Has developed audio-based teaching materials for students with disabilities, especially students with visual impairments; 3) Has developed audio-based learning media for students with disabilities, especially students with visual impairments; 4) Has developed an audio-based learning evaluation report for students with disabilities, especially students with visual impairments.Keywords: Learning Innovation, Audio-Based Discovery Learning

Abstract

Improving Speaking Skills through Group Discussion Activities with Probing Prompting Techniques for Class X Students of SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. This study aims to improve speaking skills through group discussion activities with the probing prompting technique for class X.2 students of SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. This type of research is a class action research (class action reaserch) which consists of 2 cycles where each cycle is carried out only two meetings. Research procedures include planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 33 students of class X.2 SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. The data collection techniques used in this study were: tests, observation sheets and documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in speaking skills through group discussion activities with the probing prompting technique in class X.2 SMA Negeri 3 Makassar in giving the test cycle I obtained an average score of 72.06 with a percentage of 73% and increased in the second cycle 79 test. , 93 with a percentage of 80.0%. Learning Indonesian using probing prompting learning techniques can improve students' speaking skillsKeywords: Speaking, Probing Prompt, and Discussion

Abstract

Abstract: An Analysis of The Ability to Appreciate My Poems By Chairil Anwar pthere are Class VIII Studentsof Junior High School. This study aims to describe the ability to appreciate the poetry Aku by Chairil Anwar in grade VIII junior high school students. Approach to qualitative research with caulitative descriptive research penis. The pupulation in this study was 288 students of SMPN 36 Makassar City spread across 9 classes. The sample was determined to be 32 students, of which there were 12 women and 15 men. Teknik data collection in the form of tests. As for the data analysis techniques used in this study, namely quantitative descriptive analytical techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the ability of students to appreciate poetry was 26 people or 81% who obtained a score of 75 and above, with an average score of 85.28% (Very good) and in terms of all aspects of physical elements there were 23 people or 71% who obtained a score of 75 and above with an average score of 81.18% (Very good). Thus the ability to appreciate poetry in class VIII Sstudents of Junior High School ecolah is sufficient.
