Abstract

The Strengthening Character Education and Character through Story Telling Method with Darunnadwah Islamic Boarding School partners located at Jln. Gatot Subroto No. 55, Karangasih, North Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java is a community service program with the aim of strengthening the character education and character of students in partner locations due to the lack of understanding of the use of story telling methods in teaching and learning activities in schools. The method used is the lecture and discussion method. Pondok teachers are provided with structured material and the provision of several videos containing examples of story telling. This gives a positive influence in the form of new knowledge and skills, storytelling skills that are useful in teaching in the classroom. The results of this activity are, the enthusiasm or learning motivation of trainees should be appreciated and the teachers already have basic knowledge in applying story telling methods in strengthening character education and students' character and some techniques in reading stories in English. Abstract

Minat baca siswa masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pembiasaan dan contoh dari para orang tua dan guru. Siswa perlu diberikan contoh yang baik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diadakan di SMA Alikhlas Bekasi .Jumlah yang ikut dalam kegiatan ini sebanyak 15 siswa. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara pengumpulan analisis kebutuhan , pendampingan,evaluasi,dan penentuan kebutuhan dan pembiasaan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para siswa SMA sudah mampu melaksanakan rencana dan aplikasi dari literasi baca tulis dengan baik. Kata Kunci : Penyuluhan, Literasi ,Baca, tulis. Abstract Students' reading interest is still low. This is due to the lack of habituation and examples from parents and teachers. Students need to be set a good example. Community service activities were held at Alikhlas Bekasi High School. The number of those who took part in this activity was 15 students. The method of activity is carried out by collecting needs analysis, mentoring, evaluating, and determining needs and habituation. The results of the activity showed that high school students were able to carry out plans and applications of literacy in reading and writing well. Key Word : Counseling, literacy, reading, writing.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to introduce Schoology as a digital classroom platform to improve the quality of educators in teaching. This activity involved two lecturers and one student from Indraprasta University PGRI. The target participants of this community service activity are junior high school educators Yayasan Wanita Kereta Api II Jakarta. This activity was attended by 11 teachers of SMP YWKA 2 Pulogadung, East Jakarta. The approach used is Andragogy. Andragogy as the art and science of helping students (adults) to learn, the science and arts of helping adults learn (Knowles, 1970). The practice and discussion methods used can help facilitate participants' understanding. This activity went smoothly without any significant obstacles.. Abstract

The use of social media and gadgets in junior high school students was still a dilemma for parents. On the one hand it could help learning, but on the other hand it was still a problem, if you can't use it properly. Various problems would arise if students do not have sufficient knowledge in using social media and gadgets. The activity was carried out from March to May 2022 at the Alihsan Middle School in Bekasi City. The number of students who participated were 27 students of class VII. Guidance techniques were carried out individually and in groups. Online presentation techniques, discussions between the abdimas team and participants, and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed that students were able to understand the use of gadgets and effective ways of social media. The average value of students in both theory and practice is 75.
