Abstract

Pneumonia was a respiratory infection. Pneumonia was most often caused by bacterial, viral or mycoplasmic infections. The choice of therapy for pneumonia sufferers was generally given antibiotics. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of antibiotic use of pneumonia in pediatric patients in outpatient hospitals of dr. H. M. Ansari Saleh. The study was descriptive, data collection was carried out retrospectively in pneumonia patients who met the inclusion criteria was 52 samples. Data was taken from January to December 2017 through medical records. The results showed that pneumonia patients suffered the most from men by 26 cases (50%) and women by 26 cases (50%), based on the age of the most aged 1 - 12 months as many as 25 patients (48.07%). The use of antibiotics based on the selection of the most widely used groups is the third generation cephalosporins as many as 42 patients (80.76%), penicillin group as many as 6 patients (11.53%), the second generation cephalosporins as many as 4 patients (7.69%). The type of antibiotic that was often used is Cefixime as many as 46 users (88.46%), Amoxicillin as many as 6 users (11.53%), Cefadroxyl as many as 4 users (7.69%).

Abstract

Self-medicating is the use of medication by a person for self-medication that is done based on the diagnosis of his own symptoms without consulting a doctor or treatment done without a doctor's prescription. Self-medicating tends to increase among the public to overcome symptoms or diseases that are considered mild, South Kalimantan Province has self-medicating with the highest percentage of 85.26% or ranked first in Indonesia in 2020. This study aims to find out the drugs that are often diswamedikasi to treat symptoms or diseases of gastritis, diarrhea, and constipation at Apotek Fomula Banjarmasin. The type of research conducted is descriptive retrospective non-analytical with purposive sampling techniques using secondary data. Based on the results of the study obtained self-medicating gastritis drugs are most commonly used is Promag tablet (31.79%), self-medicating diarrhea drugs that are often used is New Diatab (44%), self-medicating constipation drugs that are often used is Dulcolax tablets (52%).

Abstract

This study is conducted to determine the characteristics of covid-19 patients and the profile of the use of vitamins and supplements in hospitalized covid-19 patients during the pandemic at Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Banjarmasin. The purpose of this study is determine the profile of the use of vitamins and supplements in hospitalized Covid-19 patients at Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Banjarmasin in 2020. The source of data in this study is secondary data taken from the results of medical records in 2020. The results of the research conducted were that the percentage of male patients infected with Covid- 19 was more than 69 people (71%) and the age group above 30 years was 76 people (78.35%). While the occupation is the police with a total of 48 people (49%). While the percentage of use of vitamins and supplements in Covid-19 patients hospitalized at Bhayankara Hospital Banjarmasin in 2020 is Vitamin D (61%), and Vitamin C (39%). As for supplements, namely Curcuma (63%), Becom C (26%), Imboost Force syrup (4%), Hepa-Q (2%), Cibexon syrup (1%), Becom zet (2%), Curvit (2 %) and Curbexon syrup (1%), in 97 samples.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia and disturbances of carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism associated with absolute or relative deficiency of insulin action and/or secretion. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of type 2 DM patients and whether there were DRPs (Drug Related Problems) using antidiabetic drugs in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at the Inpatient Pharmacy Installation of Tk.III Hospital Dr. R. Soeharsono period 2019-2020. This research is a non-experimental research with a descriptive research design with a retrospective approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a sample of 42 patients taken from the medical records of type 2 DM patients who received antidiabetic drugs at the Inpatient Pharmacy Installation of Tk.III Hospital Dr. R. Soeharsono Banjarmasin. From the results of this study, type 2 diabetes was mostly experienced by women, 25 patients (60%) with an age range of 41-60 years (62%), with the most diabetes complications being hypertension (59.5%).
