Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and organizational climate on organizational commitment. Subjects were employees and lecturers at the University of Setia Budi Surakarta as many as 65 people. Data analysis used regression analysis techniques. Analisisis results showed a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.760 with F of 42.386 p = 0.000 (p 0.01) which means that there was a highly significant correlation between transformational leadership and organizational climate on organizational commitment. Determinant coefficient (R2) of 57.8%, this indicates that the variables of transformational leadership and organizational commitment affected organizational climate by 57.8% and 42.2% were influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the contribution of social support to the achievement of street children that referred to the achievements that had been achieved and the failures that had been experienced. This study used the achievement open-ended questionnaire developed by Kim and adapted by the centre for the indigenous and cultural psychology, Gadjah Mada University. The study used categorical qualitative analysis and descriptive quantitative analysis. The respondents of this study were street children in Malang which are 135 subjects who were sampled bysnowball sampling technique. The result showed that social support as an external factor had a smaller contribution than internal factors, both to the achievements and the failures of street children. This study also showed the family as the most important role both in the achievement and the failures of the street children.

Abstract

This study aimed to answer the question "what are the skills required from prospective employees for HR position ?". This study used a qualitative descriptive survey approach. The data analysis used content analysis techniques. Source of data of this study study were 100 companies who advertise job openings in online job site with HR position with any of the terms was psychology graduate. From the analysis found two categories of skills required for the position HR company that was hard skills and soft skills. Understanding of labor laws was a hard skill that has a top frequency, at 19.79 % , followed by the ability to recruit and selection (14.5 %) , training and development of employees (12.98 %), and the ability to use psychological tests (11.83 %) . Category of soft skills that has top frequency was communication skills (12.09 %) , followed by the ability to work in teams or individually (9.89 %) , ability to work under pressure (9.62 %) , and good personality (7.96%).
