Abstract

The negative stigma which causes discrimination appears because of someone’s point of view towards the diversity of race, religion, social, or culture. This diversity can also be found in primary school. Some student are not able yet to appreciate and respect the diversity. This research used a qualitative approach with study case method of giving the knowledge about discrimination in primary school. This research aimed to find out the cause, effect, and effort in minimizing discrimination at school. Based on the data obatained, the causing factors of the discrimination are social background, physical disability, and strong and weak groups at school. Forming the attitude to appreciate and respect diversity on students can be achieved through daily leraning activity at school which can be created through multicultural education approach in order to minimize discrimination in primary school. Abstract

This research aims, (1) create campus-based civic education Muhammadiyah University; (2) analyze the differences in democratic attitudes of students before and after instruction civic education; (3) analyze the relationship between the responses of students with learning PKn democratic manner after obtaining student learning civic education. Entire study population ivic education. lecturers and students at Muhammadiyah University of Central Java contracting Citizenship Education courses. Sampling technique with random sampling area. Faculty research sample civic education and college students Muhammadiyah University: Surakarta, Semarang, Magelang, Purworejo, and Purwokerto. Methods of data collection with the scale of attitude / opinioner, questionnaires, interviews and documentaries. Qualitative data, so have the meanings described a systematic and systemic, with the technique, data reduction, data display and conclusion. Before quantitative data were analyzed using statistical techniques, tested homoginitas and normality of data Results of data analysis to conclude (1) to create campus-based civic education is needed to Muhammadiyah University (a) the institution of a democratic institution that is anti-violence, constitutional and provide real benefits for the advancement of society; (b) The learning process is interactive, fun, challenging , motivate learners to participate actively, and to provide sufficient room for initiative, creativity, and independence, by placing the student as the subject of education, partners in the learning process, and as a congregation, members of the family, society and citizens, (c) learning is educative process, which occurs inside a critical discussion, analytical, inductive, deductive, and reflective through creative participatory dialogue, (2) there are significant differences in democratic attitudes of students before and after instruction civic education; (3) there was a significant relationship between responses civic education with students on learning of democratic attitudes of students after instruction civic education. Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject of Civics Education Learning Media through Brainstorming Techniques using three-dimensional media. This research was classified as a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles. The object was fourth semester students (class A), Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The students’ number was 45 persons. For analyzing students’ learning interest, the instruments used in the data collection process were questionnaire sheet, the data analysis was done using descriptive qualitative. The indicator was improvement of students’ learning interest and achievement. The research results showed it could improve the students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject. It could be proven by the improvement of students’ learning interest and achievement. In the first cycle, students’ learning interest was 65.36%. It was 77.44% in the second cycle. So, the average score of students’ learning interest was excellent. In addition, it could also improve students’ learning achievement. In the first cycle, the improvement was 71.43%. It was 91.43% in the second cycle. Keywords : Interest, Achievement, Learning Media of Civics Education, Brainstorming Technique and Three Dimensional Media.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: 1) know the influence from the guided quantum model toward sosial studies achievement, 2) know the influence of the participation toward the sosial studies achievement, 3) the interaction using the guided quantum model, direct learning model and student’s participation toward the sosial studies achievement. This type of research is experimental research. The sampling that used in this research is the cluster random sampling technique. The population were the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Sokaraja Tengah that consist of two class, there’s IV A class as the experiment class and the IV B class as the control class. The sampling in the IV A class using the guided quantum model and the IV B class using direct learning model. The sampling is used a test and questionnaire. The data analysis is used two lane variance analysis. The result showed that, 1) the guided quantum model has an influence to student’s sosial studies achievement that proved with Fcolumn = 4,698> Ftable = 4,02significance column 0,048 Ftable = 4,02 significance line 0,030< 0,05, 3) there’s no interaction between guided quantum model, direct learning and students participation toward sosial studies achievement that proved Finteraction = 0,828< Ftable = 4,02 interaction significance0,166> 0,05.

Abstract

AbstractThe learning video medium is one of the audiovisual media that presents audio and visual to help the teaching-learning process and achieve learning objectives. This research aimed to describe the teachers' skills in making and utilizing learning video media inSD Muhammadiyah Cipete using a qualitative approach. The participants included the first to sixth-grade teachers, students, and the school principal. The data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that all teachers were able to make and utilize learning video media to help deliver learning materials during online learning. This research concluded that teachers should have a good skill in using information technology to make and use video learning media. They could join a training about making, editing, and accessing the learning video to improve their skills.
