Abstract

Penelitian Arus laut adalah pergerakan massa air laut yang menyebabkan perpindahan horizontal dan vertikal massa air laut secara terus menerus. Pergerakan arus permukaan laut disebabkan oleh angin sebagai gaya pembangkit utama arus permukaan. Angin di Indonesia didominasi oleh angin monsun yang membawa pengaruh besar terhadap pergerakan arus dan gelombang. Angin Monsun terdiri dari angin monsun barat laut (Desember-Februari) dan angin monsun tenggara (Juni-Agustus). Daerah penelitian ini berada di perairan Bengkulu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran arus permukaan laut pada periode terjadinya penjalaran gelombang Kelvin (April-Mei) dan Oktober-November) dan mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kecepatan angin terhadap pembangkitan arus permukaan di perairan Bengkulu. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengolahan data sekunder berupa arus permukaan, dan suhu permukaan laut yang mewakili musim dan data kecepatan angin diolah dengan bantuan program yang dijalankan dengan software Matlab. Data kecepatan angin berasal dari National Center For Environmental Prediction (NCEP-Reanalysis NOAA), data arus permukaan dan suhu permukaan laut berupa hasil luaran prediksi model global HYCOM-NCODA. Hasil pengolahan menunjukkan besarnya kecepatan angin pada musim peralihan I (Maret-Mei) dan 2 (Oktober) terlihat kuat dan arahnya tidak menentu. Analisis yang didapatkan kecepatan angin, sebaran arus permukaan dan suhu permukaan laut di perairan Bengkulu berpengaruh besar terhadap fenomena penjalaran gelombang Kelvin pada musim peralihan I dan II.

Abstract

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler robotik merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang banyak dikembangkan di setiap jenjang pendidikan sekolah. Begitu juga hal nya MTs Alquran Harsallakum Bengkulu memiliki ekstrakurikuler tersebut untuk mendukung mata pelajaran IPA. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan para siswa dan guru di MTs Alquran Harsallakum Bengkulu di bidang mata pelajaran IPA khususnya ilmu robotik sehingga selanjutnya dapat membuat projek sederhana yang dapat digunakan dalam mempermudah dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Metoda pelatihan diawali dengan ceramah, diskusi, praktek perakitan robot, pengontrolan atau uji robot dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan peserta kegiatan pengabdian baik siswa dan guru dapat mengetahui ilmu dasar robotik dan beberapa komponen utama pembentuk suatu robot. Peserta kegiatan pengabdian telah dapat merakit robot sederhana dan membuat program script sederhana untuk memvariasikan gerak robot dan mengendalikan robot sederhana melalui aplikasi di telepon genggam (HP).

Abstract

Glucose levels that accumulate in the blood can cause other organ disorders and even cause death. To prevent such occurrence, continuous and regular glucose measuring and monitoring is required for diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. Glucose measurement for DM patients are generally performed several times a day, so be required easy, harmless method of measuring the DM patients, and monitoring data are well recorded. Thus in this research, an android non-invasive glucose level system with wireless communication and automatic data storage on the phone’s memory was developed. The study was begun with the built of electronic and software systems as the central part of the measuring system. The electronic section consists of laser and light sensors that respond to a change in blood glucose (BG) levels, the microcontroller that controlled all of the measuring processes, and Bluetooth modules as transceiver on data communication of the android. The software section is built using an App Inventor developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to display and store data measurement on the mobile phone. The calibration process of light sensors is done with the standard tool and at last, the wireless communication systems testing and BG levels measurement. The result shows that 94 mg/dl of BG levels by standard tools equals 2.86 volts of voltage measured by the design system. The higher the BG level, the lower the voltage be. Increase the BG level causes the resistance between the transmitter and the receiver to raise and the voltage becomes low.

Abstract

Keeping an interaction distance between 1 to 2 m is one of the health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. This attempt was made to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus. On the other hand, this health protocol activity is often overlooked, whether intentionally or not. According to the mechanism of the Coronavirus spreading in the form of droplets that comes out during communication, sneezing, or coughing, maintaining distance can be the best effort to minimize the transmission of this virus. Therefore, the availability of a simple, accurate and user-friendly physical distancing alarm system could be a solution in the implementation of this health protocol. In this study, a prototype of a physical distancing alarm based on a distance sensor and a microcontroller in the form of an identity card was developed. Several steps are conducted in developing of this system, namely designing the instrumentation system and testing the performance of the system. System performance is tested through variations in the distance and angle of the objects. The measurement results show that the system can detect objects in front of the sensor up to a distance of 2.8m and an angle of  for a distance of 1m. The measurement using different angles of objects was performed for objects on the left and right sides of the sensor. In addition, a warning alarm will be on when the distance of the object exceeds the allowed distance.

Abstract

Based on a C8051F006 SoC (system on-a-chip), a simple and low cost quasi-static capacitance-voltage (C-V) meter was designed and developed to obtain C-V characteristics of semiconductor devices. The developed C-V meter consists of a capacitance meter, a programmable voltage source, a C8051F006 SoC-based slave controller, and a personal computer (PC) as a master controller. The communication between the master and slave controllers is facilitated by the RS 232 serial communication. The accuracy of the C-V meter was guaranteed by the calibration functions, which are employed by the program in the PC and obtained through the calibration processes of analog to digital converter (ADC), digital to analog converters (DACs) of the C8051F006 SoC, and the programmable voltage source. Examining 33-pF and 1000-pF capacitors as well three different p-n junction diodes, it was found that the capacitances of common capacitors are in the range of specified values and typical C-V curves of p-n junction diodes are achieved.

Abstract

Penggunaan sabun dan air ataupun cairan pembersih tangan yang mengandung minimal  60 % alkohol mampu membunuh virus dan kuman. Oleh karena itu, rutin mencuci tangan menjadi salah satu protokol kesehatan yang diterapkan terutama pada masa pandemi COVID-19 dengan tujuan mengurangi penyebaran virus corona. Namun, sistem pencuci tangan yang tersedia terutama di fasilitas umum masih sangat terbatas dan membutuhkan kontak tangan agar sistem beroperasi. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan peralatan pencuci tangan less hand touch yang ditempatkan pada fasilitas umum seperti kantor lurah, puskesmas dan masjid. Diharapkan dengan kegiatan ini dapat membantu masyarakat sekitar dalam mengurangi penyebaran virus corona. Pada tulisan ini diterangkan mekanisme pembuatan peralatan pencuci tangan less hand touch dan penyerahan sistem untuk digunakan di beberapa fasilitas umum. Peralatan less hand touch yang dibuat terdiri dari pencuci tangan otomatis, hand sanitizer otomatis dan pencuci tangan berbasis sistem pedal. Sistem pencuci tangan otomatis dibuat dengan memanfaatkan sensor ultrasonik dan arduino sebagai pengendali sistem. Sedangkan pencuci tangan berbasis pedal dengan memanfaatkan kaki pengguna sebagai kontrol pada proses mencuci tangan. Pembuatan peralatan ini dibagi menjadi 2 tahap, yaitu pembuatan bagian hardware dan bagian software. Peralatan yang telah dibuat selanjutnya ditempatkan pada fasilitas umum sebagai upaya pencegahan penyebaran COVID-19. Penyerahan sistem pencuci tangan less hand touch siap pakai pada partisipan melibatkan beberapa partisipan dari berupa unsur kelurahan, unsur pengelola puskesmas dan pengurus masjid. Kemudian  juga dilakukan pelatihan penggunaan dan perawatan sistem yang diberikan kepada penanggung jawab yang ditunjuk oleh partisipan pada setiap unsur. Lebih lanjut, penyerahan peralatan ini dapat mendukung upaya yang dilakukan oleh pengelola fasilitas umum dalam menjalankan himbauan pemerintah terutama selama pandemic COVID-19.

Abstract

There are enormous of natural resources as alternative electrical energy to be developed in Bengkulu province. It’s located in west coast of Sumatera Island and faces on Indian Ocean make Bengkulu province abundant wind energy. Piezoelectric is a material that produces electrical while the pressure applied on the surface. In this research, a preliminary study of characteristic of piezoelectric was carried out to produce electrical from mechanical energy generated from wind. The output voltage from some piezoelectric configurations was measured. Furthermore, a prototype of wind energy conversion to electrical energy was enlarged to search piezoelectric characteristic too. The measurement results show that the series piezoelectric configuration produces a higher electric voltage than the parallel arrangement. The greater the mechanical energy received on the piezoelectric surface, the higher the electric voltage generated by the piezoelectric. Four piezoelectric in series configuration produce 3.5 volts of voltage while 3.6 joules mechanical energy applied on their’s surfaces. By using the prototype of wind energy conversion, it is found that the wind velocity influence the obtained of voltage. There is a linear relationship between wind speed and the voltage generated.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The making of La0,8Ca0,2MnO3  cathode material of solid oxide fuel cell from lanthanum oxide (La2O3), calcium oxide (CaO), and manganese carbonate hydrate (MnCO3.H2O) has been done using tape casting method. Time of firing the La0,8Ca0,2MnO3  varied. The values of t = 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 120 minutes. Microstructure of these materials was analyzed and characterized by means of their electric conductivity, XRD (x ray diffraction) and SEM (scanning electron microscope). It is found that formulated micro structure is orthorhombic. The result of measurement shows that density is in linear (positive) correlation with increasing of holding time of firing, porosity and coefficient of thermal expansion is negatively correlated with density and electric conductivity is in linear (positive) correlation with increase density. Diterima: 26 Pebruari 2007, Disetujui: 13 Mei 2007

Abstract

Bengkulu city has abundant solar energy that has not yet been utilized to optimize. Bengkulu people, especially the Muara Bangkahulu district, do not yet have the skills and knowledge to use solar panels to meet their daily electricity needs. In this activity, the workshop was carried out on the use and solar panel installation technique that could be used as an alternative source of electricity. Participants were the residents of RT.20/01, Pematang Gubernur sub-district, Muara Bangkahulu district, Bengkulu City. The workshop consisted of three main parts; they were filling out the questionnaire, presentation, and practice of installing a solar panel. The questionnaire was given at the time before and after the material and practice were done. Some household products that are using solar energy were delivered during the presentation. The next step was the installation practice of solar panels and their components. The questionnaire result shows that participants are attracted to use the solar panel as alternative electric energy. In addition, the community who initially has a limitation of knowledge to install a solar panel, after the workshop is carried out, they have the skill for that installation.

Abstract

Fasilitas umum tempat wudhu dan mencuci tangan di Masjid Fathul Jannah masih menggunakan kran biasa, padahal banyak jamaah menggunakan fasilitas mencuci tangan ini, yang dimungkinkan akan menjadi tempat penularan covid-19. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah  memberikan edukasi cara penggunaan fasilitas cuci tangan/ wudhu yang tepat pada jamaah untuk mencegah penularan covid-19, memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta pendampingan pada pengurus masjid Fathul Jannah mengenai teknologi sederhana cara merangkai dan membuat program sistem kran less contact, beserta instalasinya. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik dan lancar. Berdasarka free test dan post test yang telah dilakukan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan para peserta 95%.  Peserta dengan didampingi tim pengabdi sudah berhasil merangkai dan memogram dua set kran less contact . Peserta juga telah berhasil memasang instalasi  kran less contact di masjid Fathul Jannah dan sudah dapat digunakan oleh jamaah masjid untuk cuci tangan dan wudhu tanpa menyentuh kran, sehingga usaha untuk mengurangi penyebaran covid-19 telah berhasil dilaksanakan.
