Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get more in-depth implementation of movie scripts to increase vocabulary in reading classes. Vocabulary has a important role in understanding the contents of the reading text. The research method uses action research. So that, data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The sample is taken as many as 25 students. The process of collecting data uses tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that the vocabulary of students before and after using movie scripts was different. The average score of the student vocabulary test in the reading class showed a significant difference. The average of pre-test result is 56.2 and the post-test is 81.87

Abstract

The existence of a school community is very important in order to promote effective education, it aims to mobilize and improve the quality of education in accordance with the needs of the community. The existence of the school communities which represented in the school committee is a basis that is able to make a major contribution to the implementation of learning in schools/madrasas. However, in reality, the function of the school committee in Indonesia, especially in primary schools in NTB, still cannot be carried out to the fullest. This study used a qualitative research approach, a type of case design using a multi-case design. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data sources were obtained from school principals, teachers, Foundation administrators, parents, and school committees. Data analysis across cases is explanatory. Data analysis starts from a single case and then inter-case analysis. Data were analyzed by checking the data from the form of dominant and less dominant analysis. Checking the validity of the data is done through credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmation. The results of the study shown that; 1) the form of community participation are contributive and consultative. The findings of this study are the development of community participation with basically comprehensive community, the initiative can be define as advisory agency, supporting, controlling and legislator. The concept enables the creation of a superior program and god images of institutions. Keywords: Enhancing Education Quality, Elementary School

Abstract

Digital technology has become a very important part of the implementation of education. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find out the need for a digital literacy framework for teachers in facing the challenges of 21st-century education. The participants were 30 class teachers and principals from the Karang Baru State Islamic Madrasah, Al-Ittihadul Islamiyah Islamic School Ampenan, and the Integrated Integrated Elementary School Sekarbela. Data were taken using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The results of the study indicate that teachers need to increase digital literacy in aspects of Information and Information literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, digital security, and digital problem-solving. The implications of this research can be seen in understanding the concept of improving the quality of teacher digital literacy according to the needs of teachers and the situation of the school environment

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of controlling collaborative and consultative community participation in the implementation of education in elementary schools. This study used a qualitative research approach with a survey method. This research was conducted by one of the state Islamic Madrasah in Mataram. Data were collected through observation, documents and questionnaires. Checking the validity of research data in this study used Lincoln and Guba's theory which consisted of 4 steps as follows, 1) credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The data analysis process was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion making stages. The results of the study concluded that the control role of collaborative and consultative community participation in the provision of education in elementary schools was carried out through a process of transparency, accountability and control of financial expenditures. The three aspects of control were carried out in the form of a variety of school program support activities and objective assessments. The results of the study had implications for understanding the concept of community participation control in schools through collaboration and consultation. All activities were carried out jointly and in a structured manner.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain in-depth information related to the role of school principals in supervising teacher performance. Supervised performance is related to teaching and learning activities. The principal carries out supervision to improve the quality of teacher performance. This study used a qualitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis consists of the data reduction process, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The findings show that supervision activities by school principals have provided valuable input for teachers to improve the quality of education. The teacher has carried out teaching and learning activities that are adapted to current conditions. However, the identified shortcomings are in the mastery of digital technology devices as a tool that can support educational activities.

Abstract

The aim of study was to find out the approach of to develop of community participation in improving the quality of education process. Community had the important role in education because the community gave the impact on education quality progress. The research used descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques consisted of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in two stages, namely (1) data analysis in single or individual cases and (2) cross-case data analysis. The results of the study concluded that the approach of community participation in the implementation of elementary school education programs in Mataram is the school as a community center. The implication of the results is the concept of developing the community in the process of elementary school education in Mataram and increasing awareness of all parties in formulating the concept of education process.

Abstract

A combination of the research by Asatuan (2004) and Kiuk (2007), gave a model for empowerment to private institutions like madrasah to become qualified institutions that can take part in education development in order to educate people through learning orientation, motivation and commitment as well as to improve the performance of private madrasah. Applying the combination the two research scheme, this research aims to determine the influence of (1) orientation on performance of private madrasah, (2) motivation of working on performance of private madrasah, (3) commitment to the performance of the private madrasah. The results showed that (1) Learning orientation affect the performance of the private madrasah, (2) Motivation of working affected the performance of private madrasah, (3) Commitment affected to the performance of private madrasah.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan Pelatihan Karya Tulis dan Majalah Dinding Bagi Siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Madaniyah Jempong Ampenan Mataram. Terdapat beberapa tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan ini, yaitu; untuk mendeskripsikan potensi menulis dan berkreasi dalam mengekpresikan diri atau kelompok dalam bahasa tulis dan simbol bagi siswa, mendeskripsikan cara membuat dan mengelola majalah dinding sebagai media karya dan komunikasi pada komunitas, dan mendeskripsikan cara pemanfaatan media untuk berekpresi secara positif dan produktif. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan simulasi serta praktek membuat tulisan karya tulis dan membuat majalah dinding di madrasah. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah adalah (1) secara kognitif ada peningkatan pengetahuan siswa dalam penulisan karya tulis dan majalah dinding, (2) siswa memiliki keterampilan dasar dalam menulis karya tulis dan membuat majalah dinding, (3) siswa dapat menuangkan ide kreatif dalam mengembangkan hasil kreasi dan variasi model keterampilan dalam karya tulis dan majalah dinding, dan (4) siswa dapat menerbitkan hasil karya tulis mereka dalam majalah dinding. Kata kunci: pelatihan, karya tulis, majalah dinding, madrasah [English]: This community service is carried out to provide Writing and Wall Magazines Training for Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Madaniyah Jempong Ampenan Mataram Students. There are several objectives to be achieved from this activity, namely; to describe the potential of writing and being creative in expressing themselves or groups in written language and symbols for students, describe how to make and manage wall magazines as a medium of work and communication in the community, and describe how to use media to express positively and productively. This training uses lecture and simulation methods as well as the practice of writing papers and making wall magazines in the madrasa. The conclusions obtained from this activity are (1) cognitively increasing students' knowledge in writing and wall magazines, (2) students have basic skills in writing papers and making wall magazines, (3) students can put creative ideas in developing the creation and variation of skill models in wall papers and magazines, and (4) students can publish their written work in wall magazines. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain strategies to increase community participation in the implementation of education in Madrasah Aliyah. This research used a descriptive qualitative research method. The nature of the researcher-respondent relationship was revealed by using this method. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Mataram. The participants included school principals (N=1) and teachers (20). Data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis used was Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The results of the data analysis concluded that Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Mataram provided five strategies to increase community participation in the education process, namely; counselling clinic, academic and non-academic program, building a national-minded character, new student admission,  giving equal responsibility to the community for the development of education process.  Each strategy involves the participation of a different community. These strategies were designed to achieve educational goals. The results of this study have implications for an in-depth understanding of the principal as the top leader in the school to enable everyone in the school community to participate actively.

Abstract

The EDM - e-RKAM application opens opportunities for the management of BOS funds and other funds in a more transparent and accountable manner, which can be accessed in stages starting at the madrasah level, Regency/City Ministry of Religion Offices, Regional Offices of the Provincial Ministry of Religion to the level of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. The use of the e-RKAM and EDM applications is expected to cut reporting bureaucracy. This digital transformation is a concrete effort to realize more effective, efficient, transparent and corruption-free management of the education budget. The objectives in this study are: Knowing the Implementation of Self-Evaluation management in compiling using the EDM e-RKAM Application. Application. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive research method that was conducted with the aim of describing or describing the implementation of self-evaluation management, supporting and inhibiting factors and strategies for overcoming obstacles to the implementation of Evaluation management.
