Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of learning in fifth-grade students at SD Negeri I Wonodadi Wetan through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model. The use of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model with the help of Tic Tac Toe media was chosen because the model was considered capable of growing students' enthusiasm and interest in learning effectiveness. This study uses qualitative research where this study uses analytical techniques consisting of data collection, data collection, and conclusions. Using the TGT model makes students learn from each other, causing students to work together. As for the effect of using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model, there is an interaction between learning methods with high and low learning curiosity on the effectiveness of student learning. Cooperative Learning Method Team Game Tournament can improve learning effectiveness or performance, such as connection ability, activity, learning motivation, and student understanding.

Abstract

This research aims to: describe and know the use of corner hour learning media in high school math subjects at SDN Mentoro, 2) Describe and know the motivation of students' learning in mathematics learning at SDN Mentoro, 3) Describe the use of corner clock media against learning motivation in mathematics learning of SDN Mentoro students. This research is qualitative research. The subject of this research was grade IV students at SDN Mentoro with 13 male and 15 female students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and and verification. The results of this research are: 1) The lack of use of corner clock media in mathematics learning of grade IV students of , 2) In the filling of questionnaires there are students with two categories, namely high and low categories. It can be said that the motivation of learning grade IV students at SD N Mentoro is balanced between the two, 3) The two categories are approximately 65% stated in the category of excellent and 35% in the good category. Thus it can be concluded that the motivation of students' learning on mathematics learning by using the medium of corner clock in the learning process shows better and effective results to use.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di kelas secara umum bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan baru kepada siswa. Pengetahuan baru tersebut diperoleh melalui sederetan konsep-konsep yang dalam matematika lebih bersifat abstrak. Karena abstrak, maka dalam pelaksanaannya siswa dibimbing oleh guru melalui pendekatan yang sesuai dengan kehidupan nyata disekitarnya. Salah satu bentuk pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konstruktivis. Prinsip utama pembelajaran konstruktivis adalah siswa membangun pengertian baru dengan menggunakan pengetahuan sebelumnya yang telah dimiliki dan dengan pembelajaran konstruktivis suasana kelas lebih bersifat aktif bukan lagi pasif. Berdasarkan dua prinsip tersebut penerapan konstruktivis dalam menanamkan konsep matematika kepada anak di kelas V dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan model discovery learning atau pembelajaran berbasis masalah, sehingga ketuntasan hasil belajar individu maupun kelas dapat ditingkatkan sesuai dengan rumusan tujuan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang (1) karakteristik kegiatan mengajar; (2) kegiatan belajar siswa; dan (3) karakteristik fisik kelas di SD Negeri Kacangan I Kecamatan Sumberlawang Kabupaten Sragen. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan strategi etnografi. Dalam menentukan subyek penelitian, peneliti memakai purposive sampling yaitu menentukan cuplikan dengan pertimbangan tertentu yang dipandang dapat memberikan data secara maksimal , dan snow ball sampling yaitu peneliti memilih responden secara berantai. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara etnografi (wawancara bebas, penggalian metode pembelajaran), catatan-catatan dan rekaman wawancara. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD negeri Kccangan I Kecamatan Sumberlawang Kabupaten Sragen mulai bulan Oktober 2010 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2011. Untuk menguji keabsahan data peneliti menggunakan tehnik: perpanjangan keikutsertaan, ketekunan/keajegan pengamatan, trianggulasi data, dan member check, sedangkan tehnik analisis data dengan menggunakan model analisis data. Dalam menguji teori menggunakan pendekatan induksi analitik. Data yang diperoleh dikumpulkan dan dianalisis untuk dikembangkan berdasarkan apa yang diberikan oleh informan dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif yang terdiri dari tiga kegiatan yaitu reduksi data, verifikasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini merupakan kata-kata atau kalimat-kalimat panjang. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah proses kegiatan belajar mengajar merupakan tugas pokok seorang guru dan siswa yang menjadi satu mata rantai yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Keberhasilan sebuah pembelajaran terletak pada guru, siswa, dan motivasi belajar. Dalam pengajaran, siswa bukan lagi sebagai obyek akan tetapi mereka sebagai subyek yang bekerja dalam kegiatan belajar dan mengajar dengan seorang guru (student centered activity). Sedangkan guru adalah seorang fasilitator di tengah-tengah siswa yang sedang mengerjakan tugas dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Local culture has an important role in learning. Learning by associating culture with subject matter can make it easier for students to learn. Learning will become more meaningful and easy for students to understand, when the subject matter taught is in accordance with the environment and local culture of students. The purpose of this study was to see the influence of local culture on student learning outcomes at SD Inpres Rabiadjala Dobo City. The results showed that at meeting-1, meeting-2, and meeting-3, there were significant differences in values between the Aru-Javanese, Aru-Bugis, Javanese-Aru, and Bugis-Aru cultures because Sig 0.001 and 0.012 ≤ 0.05. While the Javanese-Bugis and Bugis-Javanese cultures have a value of Sig 1.000 ≥ 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no significant influence between the Javanese-Bugis and Bugis-Javanese cultures, because the value of Sig ≥ 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to maximize students' learning understanding in class V at SDN Pendem II through the School Literacy Movement in social studies learning using picture story media. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research methods. The researcher made direct observations in the field on social studies teaching and learning activities in class V SD which could support the research results. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were made at Pendem II Public Elementary School to find out the application of pictorial story media. Interviews were conducted with class teachers, principals and students. Documentation was carried out to strengthen the results of observations and interviews. The research was conducted at SDN Pendem II in grade 5 students. The results of the research after implementing social studies learning through picture stories, showed a change in students' understanding of local wisdom of cultural heritage in grade 5 students. The findings of this study were the application of picture story media to foster local wisdom cultural heritage to students, and can have a good influence on students' understanding of learning in social studies learning.
