Abstract

This study aimed to characterize the content of the leachate from lisimeter and assess the potential for leachate as liquid fertilizer. Leachate samples were taken from 5 lisimeter containing municipal waste in various sizes; A=(powder), B=(0.1 cm – 0.9 cm), C=(1.0 cm–1.9 cm), D=(2.0 cm – 2.9 cm), and E=(Original). Observation was conducted to leachate quality during bioconversion in 150 days. Result shows that at all treatment of degradation rates in leachate gives decreasing value of BOD, COD,NH4-N, TKN, and Phospate (P) except Kalium (K+) which increased during the bioconversion process. The value of TKN, Phospate, and Kalium (K+) is within safe limit to be dishcarged to the environment in the form of liquid fertilizer. Pollutant characteristics in leachate after anaerobic fermentation treatment in the form of heavy metals Hg, Cr, Cd. Pb, Zn, and Cu analyzed from all treatment shows values within safe limits to be discharged to environment in the form of liquid fertilizer. However, levels of BOD, COD and NH4-N are not yet qualified for discharge and require further treatment.Keywords: leachate, municipal waste, anaerobic fermentation, lysimeter

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik sampah kota dan produk-produk yang dihasilkan berupa biogas dan lindi. Eksperimen difokuskan pada kajian pra-perlakuan fisik terhadap bahan. Pengambilan sampel sampah dilakukan dengan cara grab sampling. Sampah organik hasil pemilahan dipotong-potong menggunakan mesin pemotong, kemudian diayak sesuai ukuran perlakuan dan selanjutnya dimasukkan dalam tabung bioreaktor. Bahan sampah terdiri dari lima ukuran: Slury (A), 1-3 cm (B), 4-5 cm (C), 6-7 cm (D), dan bentuk asli (E). Pengujian dilakukan terhadap beberapa parameter uji yaitu: Volume biogas diukur setiap hari dengan cara mengamati akumulasi peningkatan nilai volume pada gas holder yang dipasang pada bioreaktor selama proses bio-konversi; Produksi lindi ditampung dalam ember kemudian diukur volumenya dengan gelas ukur selama proses bio-konversi; Bulk Density dihitung menggunakan rumus bobot sampah organik dibagi volume sampah dalam tabung bioreaktor. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses bio-konversi berbagai ukuran sampah kota dalam bioreaktor berbeda-beda pada masing-masing perlakuan. Perlakuan A (slury) mengandung kadar air terendah yaitu sebesar 72,47% sedangkan perlakuan E (ukuran asli) mengandung kadar air tertinggi 86,6%. Produk konversi yang dihasilkan berupa akumulasi volume biogas semakin tinggi apabila ukuran bahan sampah semakin kecil. Semakin besar ukuran bahan sampah menghasilkan produksi lindi semakin tinggi.

Abstract

In general, banana stem waste is rarely processed into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) for plants. This study aims to determine the effect of banana stem LOF concentration on the growth of sugarcane cuttings using the Bud Chip method. Five treatments of banana stem LOF concentration were tested in this study, namely 0 ml/l solution (0%), 150 ml/l solution (15%), 300 ml/l solution (30%), 450 ml/l solution (45%), and 600 ml/l solution (60%). The experiment used a randomized block design with 5 replications. The data were analyzed by means of variance and continued with the comparison test of orthogonal and orthogonal polynomials at 5% significance level. The results showed that sugarcane cuttings given banana stem LOF produced better cuttings growth compared to sugarcane cuttings that were not given banana stem LOF, seen in the observation variables of shoot height, number of leaves, root length, shoot wet weight, shoot dry weight, root wet weight, and root dry weight. In the same observation variable, the concentration of banana stem LOF had a quadratic effect in which it initially increased the growth of sugarcane cuttings, until it reached the optimal concentration between 411.78 - 432.55 ml/l, then the growth of sugarcane cuttings decreased as the concentration of banana stem LOF increased.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masayrakat ini dilatarbelakangi kebutuhan data luas areal mangrove oleh berbagai pihak baik dari instansi pemerintah, kebutuhan penelitian dan pendidikan, maupun instansi non pemerintah.  Kebutuhan data ini cukup tinggi sementara ketersediaan data terbatas dan tidak ada pembaharuan setiap tahun.  Sementara perubahan luasan areal mangrove sangat dinamis.  Untuk mengetahui luas areal mangrove secara efektif dan efisien, dapat dilakukan dengan pemetaan menggunakan penginderaan jauh. Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui luas ekosistem mangrove di Provinsi Lampung.  Pengabdian ini merupakan penelitian secara deskriptif. Luas areal mangrove didapatkan melalui penginderaan jauh dengan metode digitasi on screen menggunakan citra sentinel 2-A dan citra satelit google earth. Kombinasi band yang digunakan pada citra sentinel 2-A adalah kombinasi band 8-12-3. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa luas ekosistem mangrove di Provinsi Lampung adalah 9.054,9 ha yang terdiri dari kelas kerapatan lebat seluas 8.520 ha, kelas kerapatan sedang seluas 358,6 ha, dan kelas kerapatan jarang seluas 176,3 ha. Abstract

Endophytic fungi are types of microorganisms that live in healthy plant tissues without causing symptoms or damage to the host (Tayung & Jha, 2010; Aly et al., 2010). One of the most common endophytic fungi capable of acting as biological control agents is Trichoderma sp. Trichoderma sp. can suppress disease-causing pathogens in plants, especially soil-borne pathogens through mycoparasitism, competition and antibiosis mechanisms and can also directly stimulate plant growth and stimulate disease resistance responses (Widyastuti & Hariani, 2006; Soesanto et al., 2011). This study aims to identify Trichoderma sp. endophytic roots of rice plants to be used as biological control agents in tomato plants infected with Tobacco Mosaic Virus. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Agrtochnology Satu Nusa Lampung University and PT Genetics Science Indonesia from September to December 2022. Endophytic Trichoderma sp isolates on rice plant roots that have been identified molecularly include Trichoderma asperellum species with analysis results. that the percentage of similarity is very high and the max score is above 700 and the e-value is 0.0.

Abstract

Jagung manis ialah komoditas pangan penting setelah tanaman padi. Produksi jagung manis di Indonesia 8,31 ton ha-1 sedangkan potensi 18-25 ton ha-1. Produksi rendah akibat penggunaan pupuk anorganik berlebihan. Peningkatan produksi dengan penerapan pupuk organik Trichokompos. Percobaan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh trichokompos untuk peningatan jagung manis di Kebun Pecobaan Mojosari Mojokerto. Hipotesis percobaan ialah pupuk trichokompos 20 ton ha-1 memperoleh hasil tertinggi. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Mojosari Mojokerto BPTP Jawa Timur pada bulan Februari hingga April 2023. Percobaan menggunakan perlakuan tanpa trichokompos, dosis trichokompos 10 ton ha-1 dan dosis trichokompos 20 ton ha-1. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan perlakuan pupuk trichokompos 20 ton ha-1 memperoleh hasil lebih tinggi yaitu 26,25 ton ha-1 dibandingkan tanpa pupuk trichokompos yaitu 7,39 ton ha-1.

Abstract

Grelen lettluce is a vegeltable plalnt favolred by the peolple of Indolnesia whilch has nutrlitional, provitlamin A, potaslsium, and callcium (Suprliati & Herllina, 2014). Lettluce cultilvation reqluires nutrlients in the folrm of orglanic fertillizers to grlowth and devellopment. Poulltry manlure has the higlhest N, P and K contlent and is availlable molre quickly (Sari et al., 2016). Cocopeat is a planting medium that has very high absorption with a pH 5.0 – 6.8 and good for root growth (Fahmi, 2013). The purpose of this study was to obtain the right compositiovn of growing mediva with poltry manure for optimal growth and yield of green lettuce. The research at the Experimental Garden, Satu Nusa University of Lampung, from January to April 2023. The research method Factorial RAK, Factor 1 was poltry manure, P1 = 5 tons ha-1, P2 = 10 tons ha-1, P3 = 15 tons ha-1. Factor 2 is the composition of the planting,M1 = Soil 100%, M2 = Cocopeat : Soil = 50% : 50%, M3 = Cocopeat : Soil = 75% : 25% and M4 = Soil : Cocopeat = 25% : 75% . The data obtained from the observations were analyzed using the F test of analysis with a level of 5%. If the test results have a significant effect, then proceed with the BNJ with a level of 5%. The results giving a dose of poultry manure 15 tons ha-1 is the best and most optimal fertilizer dose for the growth of green lettuce plants.

Abstract

Potato is one of vegetables that has a lot of nutritional content. Potatoes contain the main source of carbohydrates, which are useful to increase energy and metabolic processes in the human’s body. This study aims to determine the response of potassium fertilizer (KCl) with different sizes of seed tuber on growth and production of potatoes. This research was conducted in three locations, namely the Horticultural Seed Center (BBIH) grounds, the Faculty of Basic Sciences Laboratory, and the Seed and Breeding of Plant Laboratory. The planting material used in this study was potato seed of the Granola G1 variety, the seed came from a potato seed producer in Lembang, West Java. This study used a factorial randomized block design (3x4). The factorial treatment consisted of two factors, the first factor was seed size (B) and the second factor was potassium fertilizer’s dose (K). Potassium fertilizer (KCl) and various sizes of seed tubers responded to the green level of leaves, plant height, wet weight of stover, amount of tubers, and tuber weight. The combination of potassium fertilizer (KCl) 30 kg ha-1 and large tuber size (±16.02 g) affected the growth and production of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.).

Abstract

Kabupaten Mesuji merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang berada di Provinsi Lampung, Indonesia. Salah satu desa yang memiliki luas lahan pertanian dan perkebunan yang cukup luas adalah Desa Kejadian, Kecamatan Way Serdang. Mayoritas pekerjaan masyarakat Desa Kejadian adalah petani dan peternak. Tanaman yang dibudidayakan meliputi sawit, karet, singkong dan padi. Peternakan hewan yang diusahakan yaitu kambing dan sapi. Berbagai masalah yang dihadapi petani di Desa Kejadian adalah maraknya pembelian pupuk palsu. Sehingga diperlukan sosialisasi cara membedakan pupuk asli dan palsu. Keberadaan pupuk palsu sangat merugikan petani dalam hal pertumbuhan tanaman. Harapan dari kegiatan ini supaya sosialisai cara membedakan pupuk palsu dan asli dapat dikembangkan ke berbagai wilayah di Kabupaten Mesuji dan daerah lain di Indonesia.
