Abstract

Abstract

Sport is primarily a mental and physical activity focused on competition with oneself, others, or the elements of nature—the contribution of sport to the modern world's social development, the nation, and the state. As history has shown, technical advancements have never diminished sports and linked to civilization's advancement in human life. Walking and bicycling are increasingly promoted as active modes of transportation and boosting physical activity levels. The elevated breathing rates in traffic microenvironments have generated worries about increased exposure to ultrafine particles. Amateur half marathoners did detrimental significantly when the temperature, heat index, and ozone levels rise. The athlete or recreational sportsperson can earn environmental information through several channels and devices. There are applications and widgets now embedded or separated from the device operating systems. This research aimed to find appropriate environmental information from recreational sportspeople's understanding and awareness of the environment's effect on sports performance. Walking (77) and running (48) were the most sports activities picked by the respondents. Then 99 (73%) respondents used environmental data before exercising. Weather (118) was the respondents' choice, followed by the temperature (47) and the air quality (30) picked by the respondents. Most respondents (72%) get environmental information from their smartphones, and 27 (18%) get it from the website. Environmental factors may impact sports activity performance, and the respondents used environmental information before the sports activities began. This research will later support the sports information system web application.

Abstract

Online learning tools are in demand these days since the COVID-19 pandemic, which forces everyone, except for some jobs, to work from home. In this community service event, we use three online tools: Nearpod, PhET, and Desmos. Nearpod is a tool learning which combines learning from videos and simulations, the interactivity of a quiz, and a reward-based learning system. PhET is a collection of lots of STEAM simulations, including some topics in Chemistry and Physics. Desmos is an extension of an online graphing calculator, which also has a quiz feature. We introduce these tools to students in East Jakarta's SMP Negeri 174 Jakarta, which is a public junior high school. As a result, the students are now familiar with online tools that can enhance their experience in learning STEAM topics.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is evolving and changing what work means in industrial settings. Smart machines are replacing numerous tasks normally done by human workers. Thus, the young generation needs to be prepared and guided, making them aware of what competencies they should acquire before entering the society. The present community service activity aims to communicate the importance of understanding Smart Machines Technology and Netiquette for Highschool-Students in a public senior high school in Cirebon city, namely SMAN 6 Cirebon. A seminar about smart machines and netiquette was conducted. The young generation frequently uses social networking sites to communicate with friends. Ethics in communication must be appropriately implemented in online platforms. In parallel, a digital library system was developed in the school. Literature review, interviews with digital technology professionals, and discussions with school librarians were carried out throughout this community service activity.

Abstract

School libraries play a crucial role in literacy development by providing reading materials to students. Implementing library automation systems is an effective solution, enabling simplified cataloging, circulation control, and reporting. Automated systems streamline resource management and expand user access. The Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS), a freely available program developed to streamline library processes, is recognized as a potential option for enhancing a school's library feature and developing educational institution assets. The objectives of this community service were to implement a library automation system to enhance the school library features and services. Also, this activity was for system implementation experiences for the higher students. The community service initiatives were carried out in the SDN Gadog 2, Indonesia, between September and October of 2023. This concludes that SLiMS was successfully implemented, trained, and helpful as it enhances the flexibility of borrowing and accessing books.
