Abstract

Information technology  governance is used to guide and control an organization in achieving the goals that had been planned in advance. PT DEF is a company which utilises information technology to support its business processes. Nevertheless,  it indeed  requires an IT governance that can be beneficial as a reference for IT activities in order to run properly. This research intends to conduct an audit of information technology governance based on the COBIT 5 framework domain, which is  DSS (Deliver, Service, and Support) domain in the process of DSS03 (Manage Problems). According to the research results, the values that have been obtained from the process of DSS03 capability level was 64.66%, that is regarded as Partially Achieved. Capability level will be used as a reference in seeking gap contained in the domain of DSS03 process. Furthermore, these would be able to make recommendations aimed at increasing the value of the expected maturity. This research contributes to the evaluation results and recommendations to improve the capability level on the DSS03 domain, hence  PT DEF can upgrade its IT governance by using DSS03 process.

Abstract

State Universities in Indonesia have college performance agreement with Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) that consists of performance indicators and target achievements in a year. For assuring the integration, availability, and data validity of performance indicators, good information management with utilized information system is needed by entire working unit. Information management process to support data collection and target achievements on college performance agreement with MoEC in Brawijaya University still has many deficiencies. The process involves many stakeholders because it covers all areas of business in Brawijaya University (UB). Quality Asurance Center in UB as the unit that collects and processes the data of target achievements complained about data collection that takes a long time and it is often incomplete. The faculties, study programs, and other units experience the unavailability of most data and target performance indicators on information system that is used as reference for implementing business processes. The problem responded lightly by Information and Communication Technology Unit in Brawijaya University with consideration that Information System used is in accordance with the needs of the academic community. On the other hand, the responses about the problem from the lecturers, staff, and students are different. This research tries to explore and evaluate the problem and formulate the steps of transformations to refine the situation by using Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) with some additional Root Cause Analysis (RCA) stages. The major contribution of the research is giving the insights about the problem thoroughly comprising various perspective of stakeholders, transforming the refinement of the situation presented in conceptual model, and the stakeholders’ assessment of the conceptual model. This research also visualizes the implementation of RCA to dig up more perspective of the stakeholders and helps identifying the activities to construct conceptual model.

Abstract

SMAN 1 Baureno merupakan sekolah menengah atas yang terletak di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. SMAN 1 Baureno memiliki situs web yang dipergunakan untuk sarana informasi kegiatan sekolah. Namun, pengguna merasa kesulitan dikarenakan terdapat beberapa fitur dalam situs web yang tidak berfungsi sesuai dengan konten yang ada, fitur/tools yang terdapat pada situs web sulit dipahami oleh pengguna secara umum. Melalui permasalahan tersebut penulis menawarkan proses evaluasi untuk menggali lebih dalam permasalahan dengan menggunakan kuesioner User experience questionnaire (UEQ) dan menggunakan metode design thinking sebagai dasar untuk melakukan proses perbaikan desain situs web. Hasil pengujian pengalaman pengguna menggunakan User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) pada situs web smanbaureno.id menunjukkan hasil dari skala Attractiveness (daya tarik) rata 0.70, Perspicuity (Kejelasan) Attractiveness (daya tarik) rata 0.77, efficiency (Efisiensi) 0.59,Dependability (Ketepatan) 0.87, Stimulation (Stimulasi) 0.47,dan Novelty (Kebaruan) 0.35 dengan hasil keseluruhan mendapatkan predikat Below Average. Hasil pengujian desain solusi menggunakan metode usability testing dan kuesioner system usability scale (SUS) mendapatkan persentase pengujian aspek efektivitas sebesar 97%, hasil pengujian aspek efisiensi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 95,47% dan hasil dari pengujian aspek kepuasan pengguna dengan menggunakan kuesioner SUS didapatkan nilai sebesar 69 dengan predikat Good.
