Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan tanaman kangkung darat dengan pemberian pupuk organik berbahan dasar kotoran kelinci dan untuk mengetahui dosis kompos yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan tanaman kangkung darat serta untuk mengetahui apakah hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa SMA kelas XII pada materi pembelajaran pertumbuhan tumbuhan. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu dosis kompos terdiri dari 5 perlakuan yaitu: D1=20 g/3 kg tanah, D2=40 g/3 kg tanah, D3=60 g/3 kg tanah, D4=40 g/3 kg tanah, D5=100 g/3 kg tanah masing-masing dengan 4 kali ulangan. Parameter pertumbuhan tanaman yang diukur meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang daun, panjang akar, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman. Untuk mengetahui hasil penelitian diuji dengan Analisis Varian (ANAVA) dan apabila ada perbedaan maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Pertumbuhan tanaman kangkung darat dengan pemberian pupuk organik berbahan dasar kotoran kelinci yang berbeda-beda menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda pula. Dosis kompos yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan tanaman kangkung darat adalah 60 g/3 kg tanah. Hasil penelitian ini melalui metode pengkajian diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa SMA kelas XII pada materi pembelajaran pertumbuhan tumbuhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: pertumbuhan tanaman bayam cabut (Amaranthus tricolor L.) yang diberi perlakuan dengan pemberian kompos berbahan dasar daun krinyu (Chromolaena odorata L.), dan untuk mengetahui komposisi kompos berbahan dasar daun krinyu (Chromolaena odorata L.) dan tanah yang efektif terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bayam cabut (Amaranthus tricolor L.).Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan antara lain : K : kontrol (tanpa kompos) dan 2,5 kg tanah, A1: kompos 0,12 5 kg dan tanah 2,37 5 kg, A2:kompos 0,25 kg dan 2,25 kg tanah, A3:kompos 0,5 kg dan 2 kg tanah, A4:kompos 0,75 kg dan 1,75 kg tanah, A5:kompos 1 kg dan 1,5 kg tanah. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan analisis varian (ANAVA). Apabila terdapat beda nyata, maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT dengan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pertumbuhan bayam cabut (Amaranthus tricolor L.) dengan pemberian kompos berbahan dasar daun krinyu (Chromolaena odorata L.) menunjukkan hasil yang baik dan komposisi pemberian pupuk kompos berbahan dasar daun krinyu (Chromolaena odorata L.) dan tanah yang efektif untuk pertambahan bayam cabut (Amaranthus tricolor L.) adalah pada perlakuan A2 (Komposisi kompos 0,25 kg dan tanah 2,25 kg). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diterapkan langsung sebagai alternatif sumber belajar Biologi SMA kelas XII pada materi pembelajaran pertumbuhan pada tumbuhan dalam bentuk power point.Kata kunci : pertumbuhan, bayam cabut (Amaranthus tricolor L.), dan kompos daun krinyu (Chromolaena odorata L.).

Abstract

The Selarong Cave area which is located in Bantul is a tourism site that has a humid environment condition due to the dense of big trees in these locations. There is also a waterfall. These conditions make it possible for bryophyte to grow surrounding the area. This research aims to identify the type of bryophyte grow in the Selarong Cave area, and know the characteristics. The method of this research is the exploration method which includes site investigation, identification, inventory, and descriptive analysis for both morphology and anatomy of the bryophyte. The finding of this research shows that there are 6 species of bryophyte which were found in the Selarong Cave area. They are Hyophila involuta (Hook.) Jaeg., Barbula consanguinea (Thw.&Mitt.) Jaeg., Bryum erytropus Fleisch., Weissia controversa Hedw., Preissia sp., and Vesicularia dubyana (C. Mull.) Broth.

Abstract

Depok Beach is a sandy beach that has limited vegetation because of strong winds, poor microclimate, and low availability of nutrients. One of the plants that can adapt to these extreme conditions is Ipomoea pes-caprae (L.) R. Br. One form of its adaptation to extreme environments is thickening the leaves. Other forms of adaptation can also be studied through the characteristics of the epidermis and the epidermal derivatives of the leaves, as the focus of this study. This type of research is exploratory research, including sampling, plant identification, leaf preparation using the leaf clearing method, and observing microscopic preparations. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative. The data obtained include the characteristics of the epidermis and its derivatives in the form of stomata and trichomes. The results showed the average number of epidermal cells in the adaxial part of the leaves higher, that is equal to 54.05 ± 2.31 / 0.06 mm2. Stomata are parasitic and amphistomatic. The size of the stomata and the width of the stomatal pore on the adaxial surface of the leaf is smaller but has a higher average density, which is 5.80 ± 1.15 / 0.06 mm2. The trichomes found were of the glandular type.

Abstract

Somongari Village was an organic farming location. Perishable vegetables require special handling to increase shelf life. There was a need for training which is expected to increase the knowledge and skills of the member of Kelompok Rumah Sayur SKM (Suka Karya Makmur), increase the selling benefit, and the shelf life of organic vegetables products. The training activities were processing vegetables from agricultural products into bittermelon chips, eggplant chips, tomato sauce, and chili sauce. The training began with product processing through food processing videos demonstration and then practiced it independently. Evaluation of the results of this activity was carried out in writing, verbally, direct observation of the process, and evaluation of the food products made. The result of this training is an increase in knowledge of participants and from verbal interactions and direct observation, it could be seen that the training materials can be understood and can be practiced well by the trainees.

Abstract

Temulawak merupakan salah satu tumbuhan rimpang yang mengandung banyak khasiat. Desa Somongari, selain terkenal dengan hasil manggis dan durian, ternyata juga memiliki hasil temulawak yang melimpah dan masih belum termanfaatkan dengan baik serta hanya dijual dalam bentuk kering. Terlebih kondisi perekonomian masyarakat sedang menurun karena hasil durian dan manggis beberapa tahun terakhir terus menurun. Oleh sebab itu, pelatihan pemanfaatan temulawak menjadi minuman instan bisa menjadi salah satu upaya peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat. Pembuatan minuman instan merupakan teknologi pengolahan pengkristalan yang sederhana dan mampu meningkatkan daya simpan dan daya terima dari hasil temulawak di Desa Somongari sehingga memiliki nilai ekonomi yang lebih tinggi pula. Kegiatan pelatihan ditujukan bagi kelompok wanita tani di Desa Somongari. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan metode simulasi pembuatan produk temulawak instan. Sarana yang digunakan pada pelatihan adalah media leaflet, alat masak dan bahan baku minuman instan. Evaluasi kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menilai pengetahuan awal dan akhir dengan kuesioner serta observasi langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini yaitu terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dalam mengolah minuman temulawak instan (p<0,01). Selain itu, para peserta juga makin terampil dalam mengolah minuman instan ini. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan minuman temulawak instan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai temulawak dan memberikan peluang usaha kepada masyarakat sehingga meningkatkan perekonomian

Abstract

Biology learning in schools requires current references as enrichment material to accompany textbooks. Therefore it is necessary to develop research-based teaching materials. The study aimed to determine the feasibility of the modules developed for class XI learning on the structure and function of plant tissues based on the results of research on the characteristics of the epidermis and epidermal derivatives of cherry tomato leaves and rose tomato leaves. The research was carried out in two stages. The first was exploratory research carried out by taking samples in the form of cherry tomato leaf organs and rose tomato leaves. Preparation of cherry tomato leaf and rose tomato leaf preparations using the leaf clearing method, observation with optilab-raster image application. Research data were analyzed descriptively. The second stage was preparing modules on the structure and function of plant tissue as biology teaching materials for class XI using the ADDIE development model, which was limited to ADD. Module quality data was collected using a data collection instrument in the form of a product assessment questionnaire. The average result of product evaluation by material experts is 82.14%, and media experts are 84.37%. Based on the results of this assessment, the module on the structure and function of plant tissue is feasible to be used for testing as high school biology teaching materials.
