Abstract

This article discusses the position of the holly Quran in the integration of Knowledge and Indonesian-ness in Islamic studies by analyzing on the Dissertation of the Graduate School of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta students. The method used in this research is qualitative literature which makes 152 dissertations written in the period 2010-2015 as the object of study. The study discovered that the integration in the dissertation is seen at the theoretical and substantive levels. Theoretically, all dissertations make the verses of the Quran and the Prophet's Hadith a theoretical framework integrating with the theory of the field of science according to the theme studied. Likewise, in terms of substance, all the themes of the dissertation are related to Islam both as a perspective and as an object of study present the Quran and Hadith as the basis of their argument. Regarding Indonesian-ness, carried scientific integration is in accordance with the local context and dynamics. This locality is very dominant because whatever the methodology used in conducting the dissertation, the dominant theme written is about Indonesian-ness.

Abstract

الملخص: لم تكن قضية تكامل العلوم أمرا جديدا، إذ يمكن العثور عليه فى أعمال كلاسيكية للعلماء المسلمين، ومن خلالها، ظهر علماء معترف بهم عالميا، وتطويرات الجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية بعد كونها مجرد معهد عال للعلوم الدينية، بالنظر إلى نواحى الضعف فيها، إلى أن تصبح جامعة لها  كليات شرعية وعلمية تقنية، والتطويرات الضخمة فى جامعة الأزهر الشريف بمصر على مر تاريخها، حيث بدأت آخر القرن العاشر الميلادى فى صورة حلقات دراسية، إلى أن أضحت لها الآن أكثر من 70 كلية، بين كليات شرعية ولغوية وعلمية إنسانية وعلمية تقنية ومهنية عملية، لا تخلو عن أفكار وديناميات وثنائيات وخلافات أو صراعات فكرية فى التكامل المعرفى للعلوم الشرعية والعلوم غير الشرعية. وإن خريجى الجامعات الإسلامية والأزهر خاصة بعيدين عن مواقف التطرف، وإنما اتخذوا الموقف الوسط فى الدين والعلم تجاه التعددية الملية والثقافية والمعرفية ومن أجل ذلك نرى ضرورة تفعيل التكامل المعرفى فى هذا العصر بمنظار التجديد والقراءات الثلاث والمهمات الثلاث للإنسان فى سبيل إعادة النهوض بالأمة. ومن الضرورى إعداد الجيل الحالى والقادم تربويا على التكامل المعرفى أى التفنن على أساس التخصص الراسخ.الكلمات الاسترشادية: التكامل المعرفى، الوسطية، تفعيل التكامل، القراءات الثلاث، أساسية التخصص

Abstract

This study aims to explore the passive Islamophobia in the arts and culture subjects on the KTSP and K-13 curriculum of secondary schools. Employing the representation theory, this article explores the relationship between marginality and Islamophobia integrated into the fine arts curriculum. Through content analysis of 2 textbooks for grades VII and VIII, some elements of marginalization in the Islamic cultural values were found. The conception of Indonesian nationality originates from various internal solidarity and contestation between Islamism, Hinduism and secularism in resistance to imperialism. The fallacy in the narrative of the mainstream of Indonesian nationalism seen as deeply rooted in the legacy of Majapahit/Hinduism, which unwittingly calls Indonesia the new Majapahit needs to be straightened out. The construction of cultural nationalism, meanwhile, overrides Islamic culture and identity. This article indicates that the teaching of the nationality of Indonesian culture does not consider the heritage of Islamic arts and culture. The marginality and exclusion of Islamic arts and culture in the construction of Indonesian nationality through the art curriculum and art education policy shows passive Islamophobia internalized therein, instead of the existence of accommodation and respect for Islamic culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat karakteristik dari penafsiran dua sufi dari kubu yang berbeda yaitu Ibn ‘Arabī dari tafsir naẓarī dan al-Qushayrī dari tafsir ishārī. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penafsiran Ibn ‘Arabī yang berasal dari tafsir naẓarī lebih mempunyai karakteristik simbolis yang begitu kuat dan jauh dari makna zahir sehingga terkadang sulit dipahami. Berbeda dengan al-Qushayrī dari kubu tafsir ishārī yang sebagai mufasir sufi moderat cenderung mempunyai sisi simbolis yang lebih dekat dengan makna zahir sehingga mudah dipahami.

Abstract

The characteristics of sex education in the Qur’an are preventive, universal, realistic-accurate. Preventive because the Qur’an has warned from the beginning to avoid negative sex so as not to fall into the humiliation as it has befalling the past. Universal because the Qur’an explains thoroughly all the problems about sex from before someone was born until he died. Realistic because the Qur’an recognizes that sex cannot be separated from human problems. The method of writing this paper is the Mawḍū’ī Interpretation (thematic) by identifying the verses of the Qur’an related to the theme. The purpose of writing this paper is to explain to the reader the concept of the Qur’an about sex education. To realize this goal, this paper outlines the meaning, purpose, object, phase, benefits of sex education in the Qur’an. The steps of the research are: identifying sexual problems that exist in society, then linking with the values contained in the Qur’an.

Abstract

Binti Syaty is one of the Islamic scholars who focuses on the study of literature. This approach is also used to interpret the Qur'an - as the most authoritative source in Islam. She applies the literary method of her teacher and husband, Amin al-Khuli. In this paper the author will describe the literary approach used by Binti Syaty in interpreting Islamic sources - namely the al-Qur'an.

Abstract

The research aims to know the role of women in teaching legal rulings before society in Surat An-Nahl: 125, a comparative study between the interpretations of Al-Bahr Al-Moheet and Nizam Al-Durar in the proportion of verses and surahs. As for the research method, it is the comparative method, which is that the interpreter relies on a group of Qur’anic verses in one place, so he explores the views of the interpreters following what was written in the interpretation of that sentence of verses by describing the methods of interpretation of Sheikh Abi Hayyan Al-Andalusi and Sheikh Burhan Al-Din Al-Baq’i through their interpretations, and then I analyze their ideas about the role of women in teaching Islamic rulings before society in Islam in Surat An-Nahl, verse 125, and then compare their opinion with the discussion. As for the method of this research, it is a library method by collecting information from sources and references related to the topic from books of interpretation. and the sciences of the Qur’an. One of the results of this research is that the Sufi color that approached the interpretation of Abu Hayyan Al-Andalusi and learned the occasion when interpreting the Bekaa’i, this interpretation was able to draw the role of women in teaching the legal rulings before the community. Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi and al-Biqaa’i said that God commands the caller to call to the religion of Islam with wisdom, i.e. the Qur’an, and by the preaching of the Qur’an, he means by good exhortation and by means of arguing with kindness and gentleness. This is the way to achieve success in the field of calling to the path of God.
