Abstract

The aim of this research is to description the implementation of cooperative learning model NHT, students activity and practice communication skills through material of acid base. The research design used is œOne Shoot Case Study. Research data obtained include (1) Implementation of cooperative learning model NHT to get a score at meetings 1, 2, and 3 of 3,86, 3,90, and 3,95 with very good category. (2) The percentage of students activities that are relevant is greater than the of activities that are irrelevant. (3) Communication skills of students who are trained obtain sufficient criteria on the quantity of questions with a percentage for three consecutive meetings of 25%; 44,44%; and 55,56% and the quantity of opinion students get a good assessment criteria of 41,67%; 61,11%; and 75%. On the quality of asking students get an excellent title for three consecutive meetings 8,33%; 11,11%; and 25% and the quality of opinion students of 5,56%; 25%; and 27,78%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation, activities, learning outcomes, and student responses after the application of SAVI type TPS-based cooperative learning models of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. This study uses "one group pretest-posttest design". The implementation of SAVI-based TPS type cooperative learning model with an average value of 3.31 and 3.78 in the excellent category. Somatic student activity at 20.53% at the first meeting and 17.83% at the second meeting, intellectual students at 12.35% at the first meeting and 11.7% at the second meeting, auditory students at 11.7% at the first meeting and 11, 7% the second meeting, visual students by 11.58% at the first meeting and 10.88% the second meeting. This shows that students have a relevant percentage of time in accordance with the learning style with the type of cooperative learning model TPS. Complete learning outcomes of all students by 94% at the first meeting and 97% at the second meeting. Student responses after SAVI-based TPS type cooperative learning were very good with a percentage of positive responses of 98.61%.  Keywords: Cooperative, TPS, SAVI, learning outcomes, response.

Abstract

Abstract. The  aim of this research was to describe the Guiding Book which helps implementing assessment as learning. The research subjects were 29 students of Undergraduate Program of Chemistry Education, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The research methods were questionnaire and documentation method. Questionnaire method was to record student responses to the role of the Guiding Book which helps implementing assessment as learning. The documentation method was to record students’ activity in implementing of learning based on assessment as learning. The document used in this documentation method which was  assessment as learning based worksheet. The result showed that the percentage of students response was about 81% for the six items, which means that the Guiding Book played a very helpful role in the implementing  of learning based on assessment as learning. The result of observations on assessment as learning based worksheet showed that students implemented of learning based on assessment as learning by utilizing or being inspired the contents of the Guiding Book. Keywords: guiding book, assessment as learning
