Abstract

Air merupakan sumber daya alam yang diperlukan oleh semua makhluk hidup. Penyediaan air minum yang aman harus diupayakan karena kemungkinan adanya pencemaran mikroorganisme pada air minum, seperti pencemaran bakteri Coliform. Bahaya bakteri Coliform dapat menimbulkan berbagai penyakit seperti diare, tifus dan disentri basiler. Menurut persyaratan Standar Nasional Indonesia 01-3553-2006 tentang persyaratan  mutu air minum dalam kemasan bahwa kadar maksimum bakteri Coliform pada air minum isi ulang yang diperbolehkan dalam per 100 ml sampel adalah <2/100 ml.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya bakteri Coliform pada air minum isi ulang dan berapa kadar MPN/100 ml serta untuk mengetahui apakah air minum isi ulang yang dijual didepot yang berada diwilayah Kayutangi Kota Banjarmasin sudah memenuhi persyaratan Standar Nasional Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif yaitu suatu penelitian yang menggambarkan fenomena yang terjadi didalam suatu populasi tertentu. Teknik pengambilan datanya menggunakan sampling jenuh dan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Most Probable Number MPN/100 ml.Hasil penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 5 (31,25%) sampel positif mengandung bakteri Coliform dan 11 (65,78%) sampel negatif mengandung bakteri Coliform. Jumlah MPN/100 ml bakteri Coliform yang tertinggi adalah 190 MPN/100 ml dan jumlah MPN/100 ml bakteri Coliform yang terendah adalah 4 MPN/100 ml. Pada perhitungan jumlah koloni dengan tabel MPN/100 ml dari 5 sampel yang positif seluruhnya melebihi batas Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dengan kadar maksimum yang diperbolehkan <2/100 ml.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the biggest problem for women around the world and causes a major death for patients with breast cancer. Breast cancer and its treatment or side effects of treatment are often associated with a decrease in the quality of life of breast cancer patients. In Indonesia, the prevalence of cancer / tumor is quite high at 1.4 per 1000 population, or about 330,000 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of life of breast cancer patients in the edelweiss room of Ulin Banjarmasin Public Hospital. This research is a descriptive non-experimental research. The study was conducted at Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital in the period of July-August 2018. The sampling method used was consecutive sampling. The study population was 85 breast cancer patients and the study sample was all of the population because the entire population met the inclusion criteria. The instrument used was the European Quality Of Life - 5 Dimension questionnaire and the EQ-5D Index Calculator by using the Japanese state to calculate the score for each item of question on the EQ-5D-3L questionnaire. The result of this research is the description of the quality of life in 85 research respondents as much as 57.7% had a good quality of life and as much as 42.3% had poor quality of life.

Abstract

Papaya (Carica papaya L) is a plant that can live in various places in Indonesia and requires a relatively short time to grow. Papaya leaves contain karpain alkaloid, karikaksantin, violaksantin, papain, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, karposid and saponins. The compounds that have antibacterial properties are karpain alkaloids. Ointment is one of the pharmaceutical preparations that is suitable for wound healing drugs with papaya leaf extract. This ointment is able to treat infections caused by staphylococcus aureus with great effectiveness and small side effects when compared with the use of chemicals. This study aims to determine the most effective formulations of hydrocarbon base ointment with physical properties test. Papaya leaf extract was obtained by maceration method for five days with 96% ethanol. Macerate is then evaporated with water bath until it becomes a thick extract of papaya leaves. Papaya leaf extract is then formulated at formula 2 and then carried out an antibacterial test with extract concentrations of 5; 10; 20; 30 and 40%. This research is experimental research. The results showed that formula 2 was the most effective based on the physical properties test of the ointment. Antibacterial test results showed that the highest inhibition zone diameter was obtained in the ointment of papaya leaf extract concentration of 40% in the amount of 11.63 ± 0.671441 mm and the smallest in the concentration of 5% in the amount of 5.63 ± 0.550757.

Abstract

Terap leaf (Artocarpus odoratissimus Blanco) is a plant that contains flavonoids which are phenolic groups. These compounds are effectively used as natural antioxidants. Antioxidants function to reduce the speed of lipid peroxidation by giving electrons to free radicals, can make normal molecules. Phenol compounds also have bacteriosid, antihelmintic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticancer and degenerative diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the total phenolic levels contained in the terap leaf plants. The terap leaves were obtained from Amuntai City, Hulu Sungai Tengah which were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Phenolic compounds in terap leaves were extracted using maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. Qualitative testing of terap leaf was determined using FeCl3 reagent, determination of terap leaf compounds was expressed with gallic acid equivalence value. The method used is Visible Spectrophotometry with Folin ciocalteau reagents. The concentrations used in linear regression curves are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30µg / mL. Qualitative test results obtained the terap leaf extract positive containing phenolic compounds with marked changes in yellow to green. Based on quantitative test results obtained operating time at minute 1 and the maximum wavelength obtained is 762 nm. Linear regression obtained by y = 0.0213x + 0.117. The value of total phenolic content obtained in the terap leaf extract was 10.56% w / w.
